I was playing coop and I was at that part
I absolutely love Ironside Fisher. He is so sarcastic and cool. Conviction had a lot of hilarious lines.
I loved and LOL’d hard on that part. He always has the most sarcastic yet interesting dialogue. Another of my favs is when he says the world is small, nasty, and complicated and everybody dies alone. Then when asked what he thinks about Soth, Fisher says: He’s small, nasty, and complicated. I guess how HE dies is up to him.

This is the one game... I got it as a birthday gift when it came out in 05, and I can still pick it up and enjoy playing it almost eleven years later.
i have the best memories playing splinter cell games up until double agent on ps2, still cherish those memories

Sam has more completed, flawless missions under his belt than any other Splinter Cell will by retirement. Plus, now he's head of Fourth Echelon and the Big Boss (pun intended)

Just finished this mission. I scored a 91% on Expert. Apparently I was ID'd as an intruder although I don't know where and I also forgot about the broadcast objective. Tough mission. Many saves and reloads in my playthrough. Centerstrain is the man.
The hardest for me is Bath House in the bathroom with those tree guys
kardcarl yes. That level always pissed me off.
The bath house after the gunfight breaks out is so obnoxious.
It's amazingly easy to accomplish with a couple of well placed smoke bomb. I find the next part more difficult.

You missed the bonus objective of destroying he two tanks. A drag grenade down the hatch does it. And doesn't count as killing anyone

You can also shoot the tripod antenna to take them out if you hit the glowing blue part

That part where you interrogate the soldier for the Splinter Cell duo, then playing the co-op missions and play that moment on the other end of the line blew my fucking mind.

Man you made the part where you save the pilots look super easy but that was a royal pain to do.
Personally, what I do is go with the Assault loadout and use the sniper attachment to destroy the UAV's in this mission, but make sure to knock out all enemies in the area first. Makes this mission a lot easier.
Centerstrain there was a bonus objective in this mission.You needed to throw a grenade into the opened hatch in the North Korean tanks so the tank would be destroyed.It wouldn't count as a kill in the stats.
The second part of this mission always seemed a bit contrived. Sam clearly gets out of the mission fine, having him send the data to the plane, which could easily be shot down given all the AA fire was an unnecessary liability. I get that for plot reasons they did it, so that Sam would have other things to do, but it's just a weak point in the plot, and really the only big weakness.
I guess you could also make the case that another weak point was the Masson character, but in retrospect he was probably meant to be a Rumsfeld type, hungry for war, but thinking of it like it's a game or a business transaction.
One time, I saved the game several seconds before the elevator comes up and threw a frag into the elevator as the doors are opening. Their reactions before the frag explodes is priceless. And watching their bodies fly out of the elevator is satisfying. ( :
As a Korean.....this would be a nightmare come true....also....this mission was a pain.....

i'd like to thank you in advance for making this awesome walkthrough.
i started playing chaos theory some days ago, did the mission and watched your video afterwards for reference reasons on how to improve my gameplay. i don't know why, maybe i was too young and impatient 10 years ago, but i never really paid attention to the guards routes and knocked out way too much people. seoul was especially hard as far as i remember like hell on earth, but it wasn't such a big deal this time.
Congrats man, sounds like you went through hell to get that 100%. No doubt in my mind that you could do it!
Strain, the smoke grenade method you talked about is not as unreliable as you think, the only problem is putting the grenade at the right spot and be fast enough to not be detected and shot by the tank, either way good walkthrough, i still cant do it without the sniper attachment for those goddamned UAVs.
Jose21Crisis You can just disable the damn UAVs with the OCP; It won't destroy them but it'll buy you some valuable time
Yeah but at times you need even more time or a permantent solution, i have done it OCPing the UAVs, but has lead to sticky situations and near detection, but as long as it`s done it`s fine for me. And the sniper attachment is not good at times, the NPCs at times fire where they heard the shot.
Jose21Crisis Ah yeah I hate when they do that. It's even unrealistic; it could be their own man firing at someone in the distance, they'll open fire on him and kill him. The "Fire where the sound came from" is most definitely not a thing you're allowed to do in any armed force...
Also they way you use the Sniper attachment is you shoot, then run away from that spot as fast as you can. But Seoul doesn't really have that many open areas so you're pretty much boned
There is actually one apartment building before the second command center, right after the part with the first tank, that I use to destroy one of the UAVs, if I fire outside, they turn around they see me because of muzzle flash and fire on me. I usually make sure that there is no one that can hear me by KO them (the first building of the part 2, is a good example). Then destroy the UAV. As for the "their own man firing at someone", I think they recognize the diference between a unsuppressed XM8 and a suppressed F2000.
Jose21Crisis It's weird that they're too stupid to go and check out why didn't a guard return for 20 minutes straight yet they can differentiate weapon noises
Pulling this video up in 2021 because yup, you said it, one of the most insanely difficult things I've ever seen in Splinter Cell.

i finished the mission with one knock out, made frequent use of the ocp, the sticky cams and other gadgets and it went surpisingly well. i still had some "load games" though, especially while rescuing the pilots ... that stupid tank ._.
long story short: thanks for the good work man, i hope you keep it up. i really enjoy let's plays/walkthroughs with commentary of stealth games with an actual stealthy playstyle and i'd definitely like to watch some more of your videos.
This level I love and hate at the same time. I can complete it without touching anyone, but it takes saving constantly and patience.
I go for the bonus objective of destroying the tanks as well and that drops my rating to 97% instead of 100% everytime since somehow, one of the tanks kills counts as a detected body. It's the second tank kill, I think.
And the game also becomes much more challenging once the Tank AI is taken out of the picture. The guards also sound super scared which makes me go lul.
This level was so difficult to beat and you made it look like a walk in the park
This is why i pick Assault for this mission,UAV in first of part 2 and before Sam go to save the pilot were like pain in the ass, i use Sniper to put those things down.
You have one of the best walkthroughs I have ever seen. good job you are talking in details so that makes it great

17 years later and I'm still playing this game. How I wish the mechanics and physics of the game hadn't changed after SCCT. The rest, I only finished one. I cannot play them. That isn't Sam and it is not SC. I'd love a remaster of the first 3. The rest can go into the trash.
15:06 I ended up falling on one of them by accident and the dude saying "I want my mommy!" started shooting and said "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!!!"
@GokaishuSonofGouki: I felt sorry for them too, but then again, a North Korean team was already heading for the crash site, so they would have found the two pilots, captured them, and submitted them to interrogation which would no doubt have included violent and inhumane methods, so ... who knows?
The gas worked perfectly for me. But not for infantry, I ended up with four knockouts for the level, as soon as that first guy sprints past the street light I zapped him then the other two. Then if ya sticky cam the alley way and prompt the guy to spawn by picking up a pilot, then has him, it makes it so much easier. A lot more consistent.
The second half of this mission pissed me off so much.

To Centerstream01 i managed to sneak by the soldier that runs in the way of where u Need to go in the First tank section by hugging the wall next to him and takeing cover behind the boxies behind him😊😊❤❤ love Ur videos
I did 95% just because I apparently killed the guy at the very beginning instead of knock him down. Didn’t know you could do both. The entire mission is quite easy if you pay attention, the harder part may be when you have to get through the gun fire, I had to use nades to not get hurt.
Can confirm, they just shoot at each other with no outcome
@Kevin Southam he's trying to do a no killing walk-though (apart from the people he needs to kill of course) and blowing up the tank would kill the guard and the crew
This game have some really hard levels that pushes your to really play smart

Yes but the AI killed him, not you
I don't know whether this is a bonus objective or something that will hurt your rating but if you use your OCP on the tank you can disable it temporarily and while it's disable you can lob a grenade in it and blow it up. If you do that to both tanks Redding wll say something along the lines of"You've just severely limited the Korean army's attack capabilities."
On this level, i always put a wall mine on the elevator before i get the drive, so when the enemy comes from the elevator, it will blow immediately

To whoever still needs help on the tank parts watch the tank and you can see it move and when it’s not pointed at you then you move like when you are moving the pilots

You actually fired your gun! How rare and exciting.
The hard part at the end - "all about luck". No. The way to complete it is when the light flickers off, go round the left towards the tanj, round the back of the tank, take out the two guards (grab and knockout) then frag grenade the tank by bouncing it of the plater behind the guy looking out over the top. Tank is down, rescue the pilots, knockout the other guard that comes along, and hey presto - 100%

I hate this level especially when must disable the UAV, but i still really enjoyed it at the same time, yeah one of the greatest stealth game in my opinion.
SPLINTER CHAOS THEORY REMASTERED. Where more AI personalities and different events reaction and different light settings and more sounds produced in environment.

11:50 Holy shit this guy shot down a jet plane with a 30 year old soviet SAM thing. That's 40,000 dollars investment -including the guy's one year earning- and yielding 6 million dollars.
The missile missed, went for the flares. The plane was shot down by AAA.
Can't you take out the two tanks by dropping a grenade down the hatch for an optional objective? It would almost certainly ruin your rating, though.
This is the only level in which i use the assault kit. I just figure since i'm in a war zone, i wouldn't feel bad increasing the body count, although i play it again too get the best score i can.
You're trying not to kill anyone, so you rescue those pilots. But you leave the korean soldier next to the downed airplane to be incinerated by the blast? Way to go :D
+enso84 But notice the game doesn't count that as a kill I guess Third Echelon figures the Korean solders are expendable.

Hi man,I have a problem,the wall at the 21:05 in my game its not exploded,what i need to do
it plays along with co-op i was playing that mission with my friend i remember them talking
at around 6:16 the building simply explodes before i go down the stairs.
My biggest problem when playing this mission is the UAV, what I find myself doing is knocking out all the soldiers and then using the sniper rifle attachment to destroy the UAV.
I'm still playing this game, because stealth game nowadays is dying

i've played the ps2 version 200 times and believe me you CAN disable the tank with the five seven.
What about grenading the tank? Maybe you can't do that on the ps3 version but on the ps2 I think it was an opportunity objective

Hey Centerstrain01, in the PS2 version I could actually OCP the tank, not sure if that carried over. :P
No, this mission would be a lot easier of you could use the OCP on the tanks, but the Xbox and PC versions of the game force you to be super sneaky, use smoke grenades or frag the tanks.
You can destroy them with the shotgun and sniper attachments for your Assault Rifle.
