Hi all! Hope you enjoyed the new video. Already I realise that the thumbnails were pretty bad and I used "mid" because I was in a rush when in reality it was kind of clickbaity and didn't reflect my true feelings, not to mention I think they were all pretty poor so they have all been remade! Hope you like them :)
Personally I barely count Battlepasses when I rate a events overall quality and this event was a perfect example why Also 7/10 is quite high for a event that is "mid" isn't it?
I think the event is good, looking past the facts you already mentioned on the video, such as the horrible battlepass, i think its a pretty high quality event for tds Also i saw some mistakes when describing what the bosses abilities do, for example, you forgot to mention that titus big purple laser also heals him, and if i'm not mistaked, conserver's pumpkins also reduce tower's range (not sure tho)
Also the final fight I actually thought was amazing. I didn’t think the boss would avoid the path and his rage mode is sick. We have never got a boss that big. Also they didn’t reuse many enemies from before which is good. The maps were decent not the best not the worst. Hallow punk I get needs a buff but still cool, scarecrow is very good for support and amazing design. We also got mission quests . 7/10 event I think
Honestly this was an amazing event. The only, disappointing thing I had was the bp. Of course I bought it but I can see why everyone didn’t really like it. Other than that it’s a really good event and brings even more lore now that we will be getting frost spirit as a returning boss. Slightly buggy they will need to fix that yes but it has slightly improved which is good. However they included voice lines, cool maps, a boss that can avoid the track, sick animations, 2 event towers. Returning of multiple old event towers and slasher rework. Other stuff that was added was amazing lobby (everytime someone goes into a round a plane flies above the lobby) event consumables. You get what I mean. We can’t overhate this event on a a few skins and bugs (bugs will be in every game).
I knew that Drakobloxxer won't be THAT BIG in the acutal game, like this would not only make optimisation even more abysmal but also would make it hard to tell what is going on. Also he is till really big compare to the towers and other enemies. Also only actual issue with the battlepass is the fact how grindy it is (though the Battlepass XP boosts on weekend shortened the grind by a lot), I don't mind some skins being locked behind a paywall becouse its just cosmetics. Also your complains about night 1 make no sense: 1 enemies are always basic on the first night, its not supposed to be to hard because its the first night 2 Titus still has more attacks than jaxe and executioner from solar eclipse and lunar overture, they only had 1 attack while titus has 2, also again, he is supposed to be easy because this is the first night. Also he is much more personality filled than the other, making him by far the best night 1 boss 3 Why are you complaining about Titus's size?? I know it doesn't logically make sense, but remember that this also applies to Patient Zero and the Fallen King. Also bosses are usually larger than other enemeis to make distinguished from regular enemies. Its not an issue at all Also this whole video feels liek a clickbait to get more views, and 90% of complains are either completly irrevelant and overall stupid or about the battlepass what I don't think makes this event dserver to be called ,,mid"
Night 1 - I love how you mentioned lord exo being confusing with the lore as if the entire game's lore doesn't have a bunch of loose ends. The map itself? Night 1 from SE and act 1 were a lot more lackluster in my opinion. It's also a wasteland... Map transitioning? It's not like you people cared when it actually was a thing, but now that it ISN'T a thing anymore, it's suddenly so lackluster and underwhelming. Wow. The enemies? Again, it's a wasteland lol. What do you expect? The mechanics? It's the first night, besides we got cutscenes AND hard+easy mode, those more than make up for it. Titus himself? Again, it's the first night. You'd also be lying if you said those 2 attacks were underwhelming. They're pretty unique, especially the healing ability, but the spawning ability makes use of already existing mechanics in an amazing way regardless. That part about the "big" thing is kind of a nitpick, so I won't be arguing about it since it's not gameplay related. It's the first night, you can't expect much. If they added way too much to it, then it would feel really unorganized and messy. I can't blame them for having a simple night. Battlepass - It's the first revamped battlepass, by the way. Yes I agree it's grindy, however, the devs have stated that they want events to have a lot of content. By releasing a lengthy battlepass, it gives players something to do so they don't have to wait forever. That's their perspective on it, and can you really blame them? With the content-hungry playerbase, it doesn't seem too big of a deal. Skins - too subjective to even argue about. Battlepass monetization - I'll give you that one. Night 2 - well, not much to counter here, since you actually liked this event overall. Slasher rework - well yeah, it's an event tower. It's not supposed to be good. You're expecting it to be meta or at the very least, a A-B tier tower. Event towers should never be META, and I don't think it's problematic in the slightest that slasher got an overall nerf. It's not even related to the event either lol. Night 3 - The map is supposed to be similar to night 1 iirc. This mode SHOULDN'T be possible solo. You don't need to make everything possible in solo to have a good event or gamemode. That's just bad game design and lacking in playstyles. You're also literally SUPPOSED to team up with players because it's a strategy game. For the bossfight, I agree that it was WAY too big for what it was, but hey it would probably lag your game a crap ton to be fair, so whatever. 7 abilities is also the most we've gotten for bosses in TDS. For whatever reason, that's just the max amount of abilities, but I don't see this as a problem because let's be real here, there's only so much you can create with abilities. I'd also rather have them put more effort into the main game rather than having a boss in an event with 15 abilities and still have fallen king with only 4. I can't relate or argue to lag, since I don't lag much in TDS. I also don't know what you mean "fall a bit flat" in terms of the bossfight. It was great overall so... Event towers - well, as I've said, event towers shouldn't be super good. They should be B tier at best, something like jester in its current state or harvester were perfectly executed. The nature's bond ability was a fun synergy that the devs added, so I don't see a reason to complain. Also it's literally so good wdym imagine having 8 farms right next to each other then using thorns and dealing a crap ton of DPS that's so cool. For hallow punk, you said it yourself. It's catered to newer players. It would break progression for them if it was SUPER good, as they would rely on it a crap ton in the other modes. Missions - too subjective to even argue about lol. LO was the buggiest thing ever, and KR was great but pales in comparison to this event. Seriously, 3 nights with easy AND hard mode (with preset loadouts), amazing cutscenes that AREN'T low quality and to top it all off, it's a set-up for the next event! KR was good, don't get me wrong, but it didn't have much substance to it in the grand scheme of things and wasn't memorable. You were a bit too harsh, I'd say, and I'd be willing to argue that the flaws of this event are massively overshadowed by the amazing parts of it (cutscenes, 3 nights, mechanics, quality, memorability). They're also working on other things (permanent content) so it kind of makes sense to be overwhelming. You could argue the same for LO, but act 3 messed it up, I can't lie.
The only reason I played this event was the battle pass skins: wasteland farm, wasteland commander, and uhhh... wasteland military base (I didn't get any)
the lunar overture battlepass was mid the only good skins were masquerade dj (there are like 5 better dj skins than it now) and crossbow turret (which is broken)

I must say, im impressed with this video
You spitting facts about the final boss for Night 3. I thought the Drakobloxxer was about to be the size of the entire map lol
but why though (bro would lag the entire game)
Personally I barely count Battlepasses when I rate a events overall quality and this event was a perfect example why
Also 7/10 is quite high for a event that is "mid" isn't it?
Yeah you got me 😂
"Mid" is more eye catching than "it was quite good but could have been better"
I think the event is good, looking past the facts you already mentioned on the video, such as the horrible battlepass, i think its a pretty high quality event for tds

That's completely fair, it's not meant to be clickbait tho I do genuinely think that but its fine for you to disagree :)

Hexscape: 4/10. Lunar overture 8/10, am I too harsh? No, the battlepass deleted this events entire hope for a good score.
