Got in an online conversation the other day about roller coasters like this. Evidently (for reasons I don't understand) some people prefer roller coasters stuck in the back of the park - the woods/forest area - over one like this that dances over the parking lot. 😐 I LOVE roller coasters (like this) that wrap around the park and/or parking lot. ❤ But some people prefer the isolated wilderness - to each his own.
@@Monorail-Beyond-the-Veil I don’t have any issues with either one, in my opinion as long as the ride is fun I don’t have a problem. If a ride is really boring though, I would rather be riding in the woods.
@@XVNRX No, if you watch other rollercoaster TH-camrs videos about terrain coasters, then you will see that they praise how the ride weaves through the woods, and they will complain about parking lot coasters
@@CoastersInternational-fw2xp I couldn't care less if a MILLION roller coaster TH-camrs disagree with me... I like what I like. 🤓 And IF my opinion isn't popular... guess what? 🤔 I DON'T CARE. 🤣 I like what I like.
@@itslynex I know many people who enjoy Thunder Striker more than Fury, so I see where you’re coming from, but I still feel like Fury is more intense and in my opinion a better ride. The sensation of speed on it is wild, and the final airtime hills, only when untrimmed, rival the airtime strength of some of the best RMCs. I just love Fury so much, but I don’t have any problems with your opinion.
@@CoastersInternational-fw2xp i think fury is a better ride and more fun too but still in my opinion thunder striker is more intense like look at the airtime on it
@@Aidan-bl2lf Are you talking about falling off the rollercoaster? If you are, then just know that it is basically impossible. The chances are really low. For instance you are more likely to get struck by lightning twice in the same year than get seriously injured on a ride.
@@CoastersInternational-fw2xp but what if they didn’t buckle the seat in that good and you fell off? Like you were not buckled in and didn’t know how to do it?
@@Aidan-bl2lf There are many sensors built into the track, and the train is unable to send the train if the restraint is open. Also the only way for a restraint to open is if the train is parked in the station. There are parts on the track that open the restraint. When I ride rollercoasters I always leave room in between me and the restraint so that I can feel all of the forces even better. When riding like this the average person could get scared because your body looses contact with the seat, but that is just a part of the ride. That force is called airtime. Just remember that if the restraint is unlocked the train is unable to be sent through the course
They actually changed the coaster named from 'Intimidator' to 'Thunder Strike'? Interesting...
yup. they had to change the name
Lightning⚡️Strike? Makes more sense...😮🎉
They had to - probably for legal reasons.
I’ll always remember this ride as the Intimidator. For Dale Earnhardt🫡

@@itslynex Yeah, Thunder striker is more airtime based than Fury, but Fury does still have a satisfying amount of strong airtime.
