    I have honestly never seen a painted trailer peel like that, crazy how easy it came off. The wrap turned out great, good job guys!

      Yes, it through me for a loop. I really wasn't sure if the wrap would work. The trailer company did send several panels to replace the defective ones, but installing them is no small task. These panels are connected through adhesive and not screws. Needless to say, I'm not in a huge hurry to tackle that task🤮. Thanks for watching!!!

    Wow, Did someone ask God for more patience recently? 🙄 Well done. This speaks wonders to your ability to work through problems and challenges. Even if there were lots of "special" words used or objects thrown to test their resistance to gravity. (Off camera)🤔 😊

      Yes... I was definitely asking God for patience and wisdom. This was so unexpected, It just left me feeling like I was going to throw up. The trailer company did send several panels to replace the defective ones, but they will still have to be installed which is no small task. Thanks for always being so encouraging!!!

    I think its a factory defect. I wonder if the paint is warrantied.

      Yes... It's definitely defective. The trailer is actually one of the best built trailers I have been in, which makes it so odd that the paint is defective. Thank you for watching!!!

      @@befreebensondiyI hope you contacted the trailer manufacturer, this would have been covered by warranty. Wraps are only good for a few years, then have to be removed, or they become impossible to remove.. so now you have to rewrap that trailer every 3-5 years, depending on who made the wrap. Personally I would ask for a 50% refund on the trailer, and I about guarantee they will give it with minimal effort. If you would have taken it too them soon as it started pealing, they would have been forced to replace the whole trailer, and scrap it for parts, or sell it at a massive discount/loss.
      I would still reach out to them, more than likely ALL the panels on that trailer are defective, and your going to have a lot more issues with paint… THEN all the joints that should be caulked, will separate, allowing water penetration, and start rotting everything. Within just a few years you will have all sorts of issues from water damage.
      Maybe I’m a bit over the top, but you have a much larger issue than what you attempted to repair.
      Honestly if it was me, I would ask them to replace the trailer, unless you don’t care that in just a few years, it’s going to more than likely have major issues, and have minimal resell value.
      Sorry to be the bear of bad news, but you really need to talk with the manufacturer.

      This is a black eye for lightning trailers. Now I'm looking at other brands.😢

    How did the wrap look over all the rivets?

    • @befreebensondiy
      @befreebensondiy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks so much for watching!!! We got lucky... This trailer had no rivets, just an overlapping seam. We were able to use the seam as the guide to keep it straight.

    Looking at different manufacturers now.. paint flaking on new trailer is unacceptable.....

      Yes, It was very upsetting. More like complete and total PANIC!!! The company did ship us 6 panels with everything to install. after we installed the wrap. I wonder how many companies manufacture the panels? Did they manufacture the panels (I doubt it)? Also, did the manufacturer of the panels supply other trailer companies. The structure was good! Let me know what you end up getting. Thanks so much for watching!!!

    I feel its going to get worse.

      You are correct. The factory sent several panels to replace the defective ones. Sadly, they have to be installed...Thanks for watching!
