(3:05am EST, November 26th, 2019) Ohhh, saw the wonderful film "Serendipity" ages ago, now. What I remember most about the experience, was the very moment Nick Drake's "Northern Sky" kicked in. You know those opening first few notes? During that scene? Well... it took me by such surprise, that I just broke down and died. Completely out of control, and as hard as I tried, I could not stop weeping! This truly beautiful, heart-breaking, sacred, melancholy song means SO incredibly much to me, for a slew of different reasons. The inclusion of it in the film immediately and instantly floored me in an arresting, helpless, bittersweet kind of way. To those that haven't seen the film "Serendipity", consider doing so at some point down the road, for it's worth seeing. To those that are new to Nick Drake's music... have a further look into him, his work, repertoire, as you shall not be disappointed. And finally, to everyone, everywhere... have a lovely day, afternoon, evening, night... wherever you may be in the world. xOx oOo

Last night I watched this movie for probably the 2nd or 3rd time but this time I was just listening to bits and pieces and then I heard for the 1st time , the most beautiful song and male voice I have ever heard, I quickly went to "you tube" and found the song and proceeded to play it on repeat for at least 50 times !! What an amazing song and such a beautiful voice you have Nick Drake , I wondered why I hadn't heard any other songs by him so I looked him up on Wikipedia and found that he had passed away in 1974 and I felt really sad , what a loss to the world of such a beautiful voice I have over 3000 songs in my music collection but I have to say this is my # 1 song and I will play this forever more , it is such a beautiful song and sung so beautifully .Nick I have a convertible car so when I play your song on full volume with the roof down I hope you hear it my friend god bless you and RIP and thank you for the amazing feeling I get everytime I play this song. :)

Nick had such a sad, tragic life. But he created this beautiful song. I had a memory of it at age 11. Fortunate for me, I was the youngest of three girls; both of my sisters were 60’s & early 70’s music obsessed. I got to hear lots of music. Some songs I only remember from a few lyrics. This was one of those tunes. I’ve been looking for it for years. So, I was ecstatic when I heard it played at the end of the film. ‘Serendipity”. Finally, I had my song. It was prettier than I remembered after first hearing it in 1970.
