@@johngraham5996 Actually in Peter "ratty" Hince's book called Queen Unseen he said the roadies called Roger Rainbow because he had such colourful clothes. Ratty was Freddie and John's roadie since 1974 to 1986. This is a great book. I would highly recommend it.
