Thanks for this useful review. As for the flapping of the curtains, i wonder if it's possible to prevent this by sewing/sticking a few small pieces of a heavy material in the lower hem. Maybe a few small magnets, beads of lead, marbles or small stones.
Great vid @chevlim! Short question, you said, that the previous curtains u had (the MAJGULL) is not blocking the light like the BENGTA. Do you know if the MAJGULL is an older version? Because on the website everybody is saying, that they block the light 100%... May be you had the previous version? Or did your brother bought them also new 2024/23? Thanks mate!
Hey there! Yup my Majgull curtain is a previous version that was from quite some time ago. Current versions are listed as blackout curtains. Good catch! :)
I have yet to clean them at all 😅 but i think wiping down with a duster or damp cloth should be okay! The back material feels too thin to soak and wring it in water
@chevlim I see. 😞 Is the light getting through from the sides and/or the top of the curtain? Or is the light coming through the materials of the curtain? I mean if I hang it very close to the ceiling and a lot wider than the window frame, do you think the room can be pitch black? I'm a very light sleeper.

@@cultivate_your_inner_peace Apologies for the late reply! I don’t think the light is getting through the material of the curtains, more like from the sides. But that could be because my curtain rails are not long enough for the curtains to cover past the dimensions of my windows, hence the lights are getting through. So if you can get the curtains to cover beyond the dimensions of your windows, it will definitely help! Can’t guarantee it will be pitch black though because I can’t verify that for myself I would advise buying just one first to try, since they are fairly affordable. Hope this helps!
@@chevlim Yes. Lets say i hang them in my patio. They will be meeting the elements like wind and rain. Will they hold up in your opinion or get ruined?
I don’t think it will hold up well outdoors. The back is made of a thin layer of black plastic (similar to the material on those black trash bags), and the cloth itself is also pretty thin. Likely will get ruined
Detailed reviews that cover many points that one could miss out. Thanks for this!

Certainly possible, as long as it adds weight to the curtain

Can this curtain completely darken the room, making it pitch black?
Great Review
Thank you! :)
Thanks for this video! May I just know if the one you have is the light grey one?
Yes it is!
Hi! How do you clean them? Thanks!

Not pitch black unfortunately, there will still be very small amounts of light that gets through

@chevlim I see. Great advice. Thank you so much for your help!
Do you think its suitable for outdoor?
Do you have a specific outdoor scenario that you are referring to? Sorry, not quite sure if I get your question 😅

It blocks the light, but it looks like a tent than a curtain, I guess that's why it's cheap :/
Thanks for review!
🤣 Thanks for watching!
