If you want to see an incredible Freddie transitioning from stage to piano, you really need to watch Somebody To Love live at Montreal 1981. It is hands down one of their best ever live performances. And Don’t believe everything in the movie. They took a lot of creative license, they had to have a story of redemption so made Freddie out to be more troubled than he actually was. The time line is fictitious. Freddie didn’t break up the band to go solo, Roger & Brian had already done some solo work before Freddie did. They didn’t just get back together before Live Aid, they had been touring earlier that year. And Freddie didn’t get his Aids diagnosis until 1987, two years after Live Aid. You need to check out some of their Wembley concert from 1986. They did two nights back to back. Under Pressure, Love of My Life, One Vision, Now I’m Here, Bo Rhap, so many other great songs, and a fantastic performance from all the band

Thank you for the detailed information. I'm sure many will benefit from it. I really appreciate you taking the time to write this and give such insight. 🙏 I personally did not know the timeline was obscure in the movie. Plus you're right, why would Freddie want to leave the band when he had worked so had to get where he wanted to be.

Re. "Somebody To Love" live, there are two "contingents": One group like the Montreal 1981 version; the others (myself included) love Freddie's performance from this same Milton Keynes 1982 show... Freddie's intro is so raw/soulful, it may make you cry.
(The Montreal video has pristine HD video quality/is great too; the "feel" is just different.😄)

@@HAP3SPEAKZ They were at Rock Rio in Jan of '85, and completed a Australia/Japan tour 2 months before Live-Aid. I'd say they took a much deserved break. They were the only band at Live-Aid who played their hits (as the producer asked), they had rehearsed and gave what has become 'the greatest rock performance of all time'. 'nough said...

Great to see live at the bowl! If you have time, I recommend to react bohemian rhapsody live at hyde park 1976. You can see borhap live in the Mid-70s and much young Freddie😎😎. His singing style of ballad part is more soft and studio version than the 80s.

This may have been mentioned before, but I ensure you this will get done. Please do be patient as this channel hosts many genres of music, predominantly hiphop at present. However, I do promise to do more Queen. Their music is very unique 💥 and their ability to mix all different kinds of sounds into one song... amazes me.

I never heard a transition being failed. What struck me too is that they didn't need to add effects to ther music. for this one ti's just Freddy who sometimes changed his way to prepare himself for the piano part at the beginning of the song when they skipped the first opera-like intro.

for my first time watching, I can say every performance is different and not the same boring thing over and over again. That is why I am having such a great time listening to their music.

Thank you so much! ..... . Though it was such a long time ago. Lol . 😂😂👍🏽 Moving on, ill try and put this disclaimer in the video, "I am not Queen fan, nor have I tried to pretend I know their music". I will need to mention this in the future. As I certainly do not want to offend any Queen fans if I miss a beat or a particular moment that I should noticed. It's just my interpretation. 🤐
