My opinion on each track of this cup: Toad Circuit: Forgettable. A boring layout, no speed boosts, no obstacles, the gliding section isn’t even mandatory, it just feels like a worsened version of Wii Luigi Circuit. Daisy Hills: This track is really gorgeous looking. I like the cheerful atmosphere that reminds me of my trip in the Alps. This is also a really great introduction to gliding in this game. Cheep Cheep Lagoon: I understand this track is supposed to be kind of a showcase for the underwater driving mechanic, but it doesn’t excuse how boring this course is. Nothing about it is really memorable. In fact, it’s so forgettable I literally forgot this course even existed in the first place. Shy Guy Bazaar: Best track in this cup. It’s got a pleasant atmosphere, a really soothing music, gorgeous scenery, and the layout is kinda good. If only more desert tracks in Mario Kart were like this…

You have to get gold on each cup in 50cc, 100cc, 150cc and Mirror mode. It also varies between loads of the game. I have experienced mario underwater, donkey kong, yoshi, peach and another image similar to the regular screen.It shouldn't be that hard if you've gotten first on all cups in every cc plus mirror and only a few are maybe silver or bronze which was my case.
I did quickly record through all of the 150cc cups last week just for the heck of it. I used different characters and karts in each video just to vary it up a bit. I'll probably slowly upload them to fill in the gaps on my channel. I know it's old so there may not be a lot of interest in it, however.

I don't exactly know the criteria for 3 star, but I know it's important to not hit a lot of walls or drive off the track in the dirt (without shrooms/stars). I think your time also matters a bit so, yeah a lot of blue shells can screw you over a bit.
+packattack04082 A bit? I don't remember MKDS having so many damned blue shells like MK7 does on 150cc. The only thing stopping me from getting a triple star on every 150cc race are the blue shells!
Don't fall off the track, don't bump into walls or obstacles, don't get hit by any items, avoid a blue shell, get first place overall, do as many tricks, tactics, and drifts as you can, stay on the road the whole time, and score 60 points as your grand total number of points.

While accelerating, hold the circle pad back and press the L button. This will cause shells, and other items to shoot backwards

Those blue shells are a pain when going for 3 stars. I thought you had to do nearly perfect runs to get 3 stars.
