I have watched this video 2 times and it has really inspired me. I've had anxiety and panic attacks for over a year now and one thing that helps is being organized and keeping my house clean. I was doing ok for a little while but fell behind again. I am trying so hard to get it together. I took notes after watching this video the 2nd time and I love making lists so hopefully I can make a plan using your ideas. I have recently done some purging but need to do a little more. It made such a big difference. You couldn't walk in my closet but now have lots of floor space. TFS Donna in Fountain Inn, South Carolina

Donna Harris how are u doing now I can help you if you need any help with anxiety anymore as a person who has adhd anxiety which is scary a little I also have fetal alcohol syndrome but I also can say that I have gotten over most of it but still like when I give birth to my second child in November I want to be in the hospital less than what doctors say I should be there but yeah it really helps to just tell yourself u will be OK.

I agree with you. You know when I lived in England I did not have a dishwasher either so I can relate to you there. Well appears that you already have a system that is working for you if you are getting it done with all the cleaning challenges you are faced with. You should do a video on that. I do the one hour clean daily too. It really makes a big difference on keeping everything clean all the time!!! Once a month you can do more major projects, but on a daily basis, anyone can drop in and your home will always be presentable! Which we all love!!!!

I sure can do a video on that my friend. I can so relate to you. When I worked outside the home I was BEAT when I got home. Try this and see if it works(It is what I did to make it happen): As soon as you get home do your 1 hour cleaning (don't sit down or anything go right into it full speed). I use to keep thinking "It is only the amount of time as 1 television show). I also put music on to motivate me when I clean. Hope this helps.

Gladys do you have a dishwasher where each time the kid uses a dish you can put it right into the dishwasher? I know with kids it can be a bit more challenging. Making it your mission to keep dishes out of your sink helps so much. I am also a big "Clean As I Cook" person. As I am cooking I clean up as I go. I find this keeps my kitchen tidy also. Hope this helps.

Definitely. I used this system when I worked outside of the home. As soon as I got home at 4:30 I would do it until 5:30 then enjoyed the rest of my evening at home. Hope your doing great. Nikki
I loved seeing your cleaning routine. I also have a similar daily routine and find that it saves me from having a messy house. No more running around putting things away when company drops by. Thanks for this video. My spice cabinet is packed and somewhat organized but I know I could do better. Can't wait to see your spice drawer. I know that you will inspire me to reorganize mine. I just got done doing this routine, my house is only ok in most rooms except for one room, and the only thing I modified was I needed to spend twice as long on the "House Sweep". My home already feels fresher and I might have the courage to de clutter the last room. My organizational project was a set of shelves which tend to collect everything, and my chore was dusting. Thank you for helping me out I shall continue to do this several times a week

Thanks so much, for replying you made my day! Can I also add those who said this is not practical if you have kids. I have 2 kids, 6 & 2. When I start to finish off dinner, I give them 10mins to pack away toys. They make less mess if they have to tidy away themselves. My 6 year old has 10 mins to tidy her room on a weekend. She has soon learnt I'm not her servant and the importance of little & often, good life lessons. Now she loves being helpful, taking pride in her room, and watching Nikki! x
Love that tip from Kindercrafty! I so agree!. You know you do so much in a day as a mom and you can feel like your wheels are spinning sometimes with nothing getting accomplished. Thank you so much! Do a nightly ritually of what I call the 7 minute clean up. This is a little race for my daughter and I to do for the dinning room and living room. I had an issue with dishes. So I incorporated the new rule of all dirty dishes in the dishwasher. OMG, it has helped so much! The first day was horrible because I was backed up on dishes the past couple of days has been wonderful! I did my kitchen clean up time and I was done early and worked on a different project. THANK YOU!

Of course we all have various living situation and as I always say, you have to do what works for you. My hopes in sharing my method is that there is something that you could find from this video that could be of help. One I think for you could be the dishwasher tip. Not putting dishes in the sink but directly in the dishwasher and getting your family on board with doing the same will save you some time.
This makes so much senses. I'm in the process of decluttering after a cycle of depression and this is how I need to keep up the house work.

By far one of the most useful videos on youtube. This system is so versatile it could work in any home irrespective of the level of neatness.It is better than the Flylady system or the Slob Sisters system. I have been doing it, you only reconfirmed it for me. i suggest you start a TAG VIDEO on the same topic so we get to learn how the other efficient ladies manage their homes. Excellent tip! My kids have chores and they are very good about getting them done. They clean the kitchen, living room, and dining area. But I can use this idea for my "chores" bc I clean the bathrooms, my room, and do most of the laundry. I also have so many errands that i could include quick errands in my 1 hr.

I LOVE this idea. I use to stay at home (and I miss it so much), but now since I work my place is a hazard zone. We have a small apartment so I know even 30 minutes a day would work miracles. I am scheduling my cleaning time for 6:30 p.m. daily.
I got my spice jars from Ikea also! I need a few more since I purchased some more spices. I have to wait til I go to my brothers town to stock up on them. He has a IKEA. You know I have been loving them in the drawer. Hope your doing great. Nikki

You know I can relate to you when you say that. You know that timer was key to make me focus on stopping after a hour and staying on task. Not sure if you have a favorite television show, but if so perhaps time it so you do your 1 hour the hour before your favorite show. That way you can tell yourself you will stop at that time to enjoy your show. Just a thought. Hope your doing great. Nikki
