Even as a kid I wished there was a roller coaster that could jump off the tracks and land back down on them again. It’s cool how they are finally making this idea possible in a way that’s safe.
Tropical Freeze was perfect though. More than twice as many people bought it on Switch (4.6+ million) compared to the Wii U (2 million). But I agree, it's time for a new one.
The rumor is that the team behind Mario Odysee is creating a new Donkey Kong title. Not sure if this true, but I’am sure we get a new title. Also, this give me hope.
Amazing work on this! Can only imagine the amount of 3D modeling work it took to create completely custom track, scenery, and especially the coaster train. Would love to ride this one day!
this looks like so much fun! i can't wait to see how it feels irl, if the suspension of disbelief is enough to make you feel like you're actually flying, this will be a BANGER ride
this is so cool but I wish they added something that would tilt the car every time you jumped to make it more game accurate. think like the secondary track on X2 to make the cars flip
The ride seems short, but maybe there will be more than we expect, also there will be indoor scenes with animatronics so it could stop or slow down, but this is just a guess
I couldn’t agree more‼️‼️‼️‼️ When my family and I go down to CA to visit family and friends, we always make time for Universal 🌎 Studios 🎥 Hollywood 🎬. We DEFINITELY would not say no to a Donkey Kong Country there. But… Yeah… Disney is not exactly in our good graces right now…🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
People still spend wayyy too much on Disney parks vacations and probably always will. I doubt the execs care too much, they'll continue raising prices for their devoted consumer base.
theres a reason. my family likes disney better becuase of what they like. i like coasaters and trill. my family does not. they like shows and a joyful place.(excuse my spelling)@@shoobamocha
They can have at least 40 guests on the track at once. (10 cars with 4 guests per car). It's a fairly short ride. Really cool, but on the shorter side which is fine for a family style coaster. I think capacity will be fine. It may not be like VelociCoaster or Hagrid's capacity but I don't see it being as bad as some are making it out to be.
All the times I’ve watched digital roller coasters with this effect, “knowing” we could never experience it irl- to now seeing how it could be executed is mind boggling. I can’t wait to ride this.
They have to make sure it works in Japan first. Which it likely won’t. That hagrid rides breaks down constantly. Which is why it hasn’t been built anywhere else. This will be no different.
something I feel they should add is like the support actually moves up every jump from the track to give it a more realistic feel. As well some rattling sounds when you jump and land on the track
If they add a motion simulator base to this to add a rattle when you land from a jump, this would be a great coaster. And maybe a little shake whenever your on the track as its supposed to be rickety.
@@robertparker6280 I know, and there are a couple of Hot Wheels-themed coasters being built there, but neither of them are Boom coasters like this one.
I believe Universal owns the patent on this type of coaster. So while it would be cool, I don't think just any other park can make a coaster using this same technology/design.
Excellent idea for a coaster! 2 improvements. As someone else suggested cart rattling sound effects over the track but goes silent when supposedly off the track. And I don’t know if anyone else suggested it, but when the cart floats over the pool at the end. There should be water flying to the sides as it skims the water. Can’t wait to see this in the real world! 👍🏻❤️😎
Definitely looks like it will be great if you are in the front row. I wonder how well you'll be able to see the effects from the back row? I'd guess not nearly as well, which would greatly diminish the experience if that's the case.
The thing to make the jumps and landings more believable would be a slight jolt as it hits back down on the tracks. Not so much to be uncomfortable, but like another effect to trick the brain that you came off the track and landed back on. Could even be done through vibration or sound on the train
If they can make the car bounce when you jump and make it feel like you're actually rolling on the mine cart track with the sound effects from the game that would be epic. otherwise you're just floating and it will all seem fake.
In the indoor section, they should do everything they can to light the "fake track" while keeping the real track completely cloaked in darkness. People who don't quite understand what is happening will have their minds BLOWN.
All of the times where the car goes « off-road » is such a genius idea and if it’s well executed and believable, this will be a MAJOR hit

@@mightyyoshiyt6772 thanks bro
If they can make it reliable, that's my biggest concern
Even as a kid I wished there was a roller coaster that could jump off the tracks and land back down on them again. It’s cool how they are finally making this idea possible in a way that’s safe.
Such a cool reference to the dk country series, in which you need to jump into other rails
If they get that optical illusion right, this could be truly, utterly mind blowing.
They'd also need to get the sound and vibrations of jumping and landing tracks right.
nuh uh
I believe that the one in Japan has this ride and the one in California has one look it up on here
That
California does not and never will. It's not open in Japan yet@@jenniferbillings2527
They are representing so much Donkey Kong Country and we still haven’t gotten a true Donkey Kong game since 2014!
Maybe the land and merch sales will indicate a feel for a want of a new DK game. It would be nice
Tropical Freeze was perfect though. More than twice as many people bought it on Switch (4.6+ million) compared to the Wii U (2 million).
But I agree, it's time for a new one.
Would love a fourth entry game to the original series where K. Rool was the villain.
The rumor is that the team behind Mario Odysee is creating a new Donkey Kong title. Not sure if this true, but I’am sure we get a new title. Also, this give me hope.
Tropical freeze is so good man
I’m glad they’re really capturing the anxiety of the minecart levels
Needs to be in psvr2
Still have trauma from minecart mayhem
Now this is a front row ride if I’ve ever known one
Yeah even if it's 2 rows that 2nd row is gonna lose a lot by not seeing it up front.
@@amandawilliamson3359 Not really, there's long enough jumps for both rows to experience
I think what would complete the experience is onboard audio that has it's own rattly track sounds that would cut out when you're 'jumping'.
If the track jumping effect is done well and convincing, this would be awesome. I'm a fan of DKC so this is so exciting to me!
Hoping the jumping track effect works as well as it appears to work here!
Sup Jake!
This looks like everything I want from a Donkey Kong Country mine cart coaster, provided that the final product will match the concept!
Amazing work on this! Can only imagine the amount of 3D modeling work it took to create completely custom track, scenery, and especially the coaster train. Would love to ride this one day!

I hope it does Bojack

this is so cool but I wish they added something that would tilt the car every time you jumped to make it more game accurate. think like the secondary track on X2 to make the cars flip
Maybe like a little bump when you jump to the next track?

A giant anamatronic of DK would be. A hit
There's going to be kids that "remember" the cart missing the track on jumps.
It is good to know that some parks still have imaginative ideas.
You did a fantastic job with this NoLimits 2 coaster. The 3d models and sound design are outstanding. Well done.
i hope you can actually feel the "hop" between tracks and such. It would be cool!
Agreed. Like at least have a little bit of a purposeful bump when you "land" on the other side

Great job as always. I wonder how the pacing will be as 10 trains will need a lot of block breaks!

Been so long since we've had a real innovative idea in coaster design and it couldn't have been done with a better franchise tie-in.

What dispatch interval can you achieve? Cause the throughput of this is kinda a concern.
It'll be cool if they add some forward back and side to side to simulate the rough sections.
Very nice....But again, it's a simple wild mouse theme type of coaster, albeit it with mine cars instead of wild mouse cars.
Imagine a rumble on each track break!
whoa it goes off the track! very dangerouss and risky!
If this design takes off we could finally get that ultimate Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom) ride we've all been waiting for.
