OMG! You should come to Poland and do it here! We have excellent doctors and dentists and you will not be breaking the bank. In a private practice extraction is like $100. One implant is about $250 and so on...
I so feel you about staying on the lifestyle. I detest company lunches. Where the whole department goes to a restaurant and eats lunch. You have no choice on the restaurant or to even go. Where did we go today? Pastini’s you guessed it. The name speaks for itself. But I was determined to stay on plan as much as possible. No all protein choices. I opted for a grilled asparagus salad with chopped egg and hazelnuts with balsamic vinaigrette. I ate enough to barely be polite. Gosh those situations are hard.
I’m so glad you did this video! I’m having all my teeth pulled next week for dentures…ouch! I’ve ordered a supply of keto chow in different flavors and was looking on you tube for recipes to use it for when I came across your video. Thanks so much! I’m going to try the pudding using pistachio like you did!
It's crazy this is 2 years old, I'm going back to look at this again and it's mind boggling it's been two years, feels like 2 weeks ugh! Sending love and hugs to you both! ❤️❤️❤️
1- praise God that you have a dentist that is interested in bettering her patients' experience after getting teeth pulled, because we all know the terrible foods we could make an excuse to eat: milkshakes, low fat yogurt *shudder*, soft cakes, etc 2- Joe, I can definitely relate to having to get so many shots to be numb. I was shaking like a leaf after a visit because they had to keep giving me shots and the dentist didn't believe that I could feel him cutting into my gum 3- I'm really thankful for you guys sharing everything, I haven't had an off-plan day either and it's been over 2 years. Doesn't mean it's easy though, I proved to myself yesterday that I still can easily knock back 5 tasty treats in a sitting rather than just one. Doesn't matter that it's a keto treat, that lack of control is scary!
For most Keto Chow flavors, I find that the 'magic formula' to make it with butter is to melt the butter to the liquid point (being careful not to cause it to blow up in the microwave by overheating it), pour the butter into a blender bottle, add the mix to the butter and hand blend it into the butter with a fork, add hot water from my water dispenser, toss in the blender sphere, cap it, and shake it up well. Put it in the fridge overnight. So, if you don't have a Vitamix or similar, it's okay, you can use a blender bottle! Oh, and remember Joe's advice on how to avoid getting burned by hot chow: if you have to open the blender bottle after putting hot water in and shaking it, twist the lid itself slightly open to release the built-up pressure from shaking hot water in an enclosed container BEFORE you attempt to pop open its pour spout.
Doing Keto Chow due to a tooth problem, too, Joe. I'm getting my first root canal Friday morning. 69 and getting my first one! Loving that we have Keto Chow to fall back on.
I back tracked to watch this again. Not having any molars inches with my front teeth. Even fake teeth hurt so much it's discouraging. So I wanted to review the egg pudding video once again. Love you two. Here in cold Maine.
I pray it all goes well for you Joe. Rachel, you are always so cute! The dog show was interesting and unexpected. The dog seemed so happy there. Thanks for sharing.
I skip one step with the Vitamix...If you have the hot soup setting. You can just put your eggs directly in the Vitamix and cook them in there. It will shut off when they are cooked. Then add the rest of your ingredients and finish. :)
I love watching you guys! I would not consider myself a carb addict, but I do enjoy a keto/carnivore lifestyle. I am, however, married to a self-admitted carb addict who is currently choosing carbs. I’m always hoping he’ll follow how I eat, but I know he needs to be ready. I’ve shared Dr. Berry and Dr. Cywes’ videos, but I never judge or push. Watching you has helped me understand a true carb addiction and what he must be going through daily. Thanks for your continued love and support ❤️🙏🏼 Continuing to send positive vibes and healing prayers.
Praying you get through all your dental issues. I have had everything your speaking about. Extractions, partials, bridges, crowns, implants. Praying for your healing. 🙏🙏💞🙏🙏
When I had my oral surgery my dentist was so sweet my ride home from the surgery canceled on my and she gave me a ride home and bought me a smoothie as well before she dropped me off. This was pre-keto.
Okay not gonna lie, I was quite iffy on the egg pudding. I know Joe only makes magic and Rachel wouldn't put her sticker of approval on anything subpar. I finally made it, ChocPB KC and ohmygoodness. I'm waiting for it to cool in my fridge. This is deliciousness. Thank y'all!!!
Hang in there Joe. It gets better and so worth it. Oh and I have a friend at work, we walk at lunch in the warmer weather. Everytime we go outside to walk she looks at the sun and sneezes 3 times. I've never known anyone else who did this! I i find it hysterical, I tease her so bad!
I’m an experience driven person, too! I want to experience Easter with my kids and and vacations, and trips. And, just like you, I don’t crave the non-keto foods, but I want to be included in the experience. I have my deepest thoughts in a hot bubble bath. I think I get so relaxed that my mind clears almost like meditation.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Costco online has the Creami for $169, I had to pull the trigger. My ice cream maker just isn't cutting it for Keto Chow, or other keto ice cream. Tara gum just delivered. I'm excited.
my gums and teeth are stronger now doing carnivore than they have been for decades. well...what teeth I have left anyway lol. but my gums no longer bleed every time I brush. I came here from ur camping videos, but I was already eating carnivore. boy am I glad I found u! I sneeze when the sun hits my eyes or I get a draft of cold on my ankles...weird I know lol. my life is not complete without a dog!
Have you tried the egg pudding made in the instant pot using only eggs and water? It is really good. I do put sweetener and vanilla in mind however and it tastes like custard. I haven't been able to buy any keto Chow because of the price. I really wish they would lower their price so more of us could try it. Good luck with your teeth surgeries. I've had to have many thousands of dollars worth of dental work to my teeth over the years also so I totally understand what you're going through.
Dr Ted Neiman MD has a video using low carb chocolate protein powder, a little water and frozen strawberries. I add 1/8 teaspoon of guar gum which is optional.
Rachel, you and your mom have the same expressive eyes. Beautiful! I have been where you are Joe. My complete bottom teeth are all implants now. And the cost is astronomical!
I take Arnica pellets prior to dental work and swish the spit around in your mouth. Then post dentist I take about 3 more pellets and swish. Also, for post tooth removal I blob = 1/8th tsp of cayenne pepper into the hole completely stops any bleeding.
My husband had all his teeth taken in one day! granted he had alot of loose teeth going in ...he was 50 and we couldn't afford individual implants so he has dentures and when he walked out it was like Rachel explained, surgery out in the field or something....Joe you will be fine, your dentist sounds great! Also, thanks for sharing your family and your stories!
Have you seen Beef and Butter Gal make a savory egg pudding? I think it’s a common thing to have in some Asian cultures. Might be something you could try during your dental adventure. Personally when I had a lot of dental work I got really tired of eating sweet smoothies and jello etc.
My big thoughts are usually in bed. Cause I’m trying to go to sleep and I all these thoughts going through my head. In the morning when I wake up I’ll be there for a few minutes just thinking about getting my body out of bed to go make coffee.
Yeah, I don’t want to feel joint pain anymore- I moved a couple of months ago and I ate nonketo food because I wasn’t in my kitchen and my knees felt it- it isn’t worth it one bit
I don’t know why this came up two years after you posted it, but I hope your dental journey went well. I’ll have to search your videos to see what your update says. I can relate to the dental thing… and I say that most seriously. My brother and I were both exposed heavily to tetracycline as children because of tonsillitis. Of course they know NOW, but back then (late 50s early 60s), they didn’t… that tetracycline should not be given to kids whose permanent teeth are still forming. After decades of dental work, temporary crowns, and progressively, porcelain crowns, I have reached the age where “progressive maturity” has imposed itself to the point where I am facing total mouth restoration, with (depending on the dentist who’s evaluating),ranging from total mouth extractions with implants top and bottom, to hit and miss whatever is presenting itself at the time, also including extractions and implants, just more piecemeal. With estimates from $25,000-$72,000, either way…. it’s a pain in the mouth AND a pain in the proverbial butt! Oh yeah….my dad was our dentist! Can you imagine being the town dentist with the kids whose permanent teeth came in like ours did‽ it took a couple of generations for medicine to catch up and figure out what was causing the antibiotic (tetracycline/doxycycline) issue. Up until a year ago, my brother was my dentist and thankfully, even though he’s retired now, he’s still the best dentist I’ve ever sat in the chair with, so there are still local dentists who defer to him, from evaluation to treatment plans, which is very helpful for ME. It’s still unbelievably expensive, but at least I’m hoping to be on the best path toward finally achieving GOOD dental health.
Joe, by the time you see this comment you’ll be home resting. I’ve been praying for your Dr’s steady hands and your recovery from this tough Journey. Best wishes to you for a complete correction for these dental issues.
I've been keto 6 years. Do I sometimes not eat keto? yes. Do I regret it? Most times I do. It's never as good as I think it's going to be and then I don't feel well. I was really strict the first 4 years then really slacked for 2 years. I'm back to strict Keto (ingredients matter) and I don't regret it. The only thing I need is to exercise. As lazy as you think you are, I'm worse. I also work from home now (COVID) it's permanent and I literally don't walk 900 steps when I work from home. 🥴 I recently bought the yogurt strainer. I'm off dairy say the moment so haven't made any yogurt recently
Joe… Did you see my story I posted on IG yesterday or maybe it was the day before…. I tagged you because I started a Handstand Challenge.. I’m doing 10 min everyday for 365 days on TH-cam to inspire others to add 2 minutes of balance training a day… this has been posted before your video.. too funny 😂 Love&light from California 💗💗
You've convinced me to try the egg pudding with the scrambled eggs. However, I am now wondering about and will try this method variation - Since it is possible to heat/cook soups and sauces in the Vitamix at high speed for several minutes, I'm thinking of cooking the eggs with the "milk" in the blender. Once it cools down a bit (not sure what the high heat will do to the nutrients in the Keto Chow), then add the Keto Chow, etc. It should be creamy and smooth. All done in one vessel. I love cooking but hate doing dishes.
UPDATE: cooking in the Vitamix does work (make sure the egg mixture reaches 160*F). However, DO NOT wait for the custard to cool before adding the Keto Chow. The custard starts to set very quickly. So, mix everything ASAP and pour it out into whatever container/s you wish to use. Thank you, Joe and Rachel, for sharing your videos and journey with us.
@@lf4193 it probly took about 8 minutes. The important thing is to make sure the mixture reaches 160*F to ensure the eggs are safely cooked, since they are going to be stored for a bit. I used an instant read thermometer. Also, make sure the lid is sealed around the edges but steam can still escape via the center opening.
Keto Chow saved me. 6 months ago I got all my teeth pulled and got 10 implants with full bridges installed 24 hrs later. It did cost $39,500, but I was happy it was all done in 24 hrs. I had so many failed crowns that this was actually cheaper.
You did great Joe! I'm just recovered from dental surgery. Yay, keto chow. My dad also sneezed in the sunshine. LOL Thanks for a great video, we'll continue to pray for your dental ordeal. -Linda
There’s a name for sneezing in the sunlight. It came up on my 23 and me results. I am about 50% chance which was kind of funny of sneezing when I see the sun. And I don’t but my grandson does I know people who do but it is a real thing I can’t remember what it’s called
Oh, good luck. After 3 extractions…I could not lift my head off the pillow for 30 days. That horrible Tylenol 3 hurt me and gave me hallucinations. I was black, blue and orange and bruised all over. Worst month of my life. So, I began rinsing with golden Listerine…. “And you KNOW you are in pain when you cannot taste the Listerine!” (And that you are getting better when its taste comes back!) since then… I refuse to go to the dentist! All they do is cause pain….then DUMP YOU, without a care of follow up. Stay safe😷 Covid still out there🦠 Gladys, Toronto🇨🇦
I just "experienced" Las Vegas being keto and it was a vastly different experience than before. Pre keto the whole trip was about all the things I wanted to eat. This time it was actually about the experience
My stepdaughter sneezes 40 times in a row everytime bright light hits her! She is unable to do anything at all until it stops! Crazy. Its some sort of light sensitivity that makes you sneeze I read.b
Haha I’m the idiot that was making keto chow with “cold” water and butter and wondering why all the chucks. I did put it in the micro for a few seconds and solved the issue but didn’t think to is warm water in it. Omggg
I like your posts. I keep hearing about keto chow so I looked it up. It had 2 food ingredients and 40 something other ingredients. It was extremely expensive and you would need 3paks to get one a day for 2 months with some left over. I can make a lot of egg pudding with broth or water or cream for a fraction of that. Never in my life has a meal replacement worked to replace a meal!! I always have to have 22:21 some real food after. At least I now know I’ll never have to buy keto chow. A bag of chemicals just does not sound like something I was a eat❤️
I do like yogurt sometimes but all the kinds in the store are full of sugar - what do you recommend ? I just had a tooth pulled a week ago & a implant put in - My dentist is awesome! Great bedside manner as well - love my dental office! They gave me some shakes to drink after & I didn’t have any “milks” & used water - it was awful! I just had eggs & bought store yogurt & protein shakes which I couldn’t really drink after a day bc they became too sweet and gross because I’ve been on keto for so long ! Healing & trying to eat softer foods like yogurt & eggs
made pudding again today taste is not bad but still not as smooth as I want it. I have a ninja blender 1500 set with the food processor how long do you blend yours?

I was mixing my keto chow with melted butter, then decided to try butter powder. Three tablespoons comes to 12g fat, and it works great!!
awesome idea I have butter powder. I am going to have to try that.
Ohhh I’ll have to try that…..if I do butter, I do 1/2 the amount because I can’t handle all of it. Great idea!

Stay safe😷
Covid still out there🦠

My dentist calls the front upper teeth “The Social Six”🤣🤣.
I’ve got that big wide smile, social 12. 😎 It’s a fine happy smile but $$$$$ to replace. 🥹😧😔😔
That egg pudding looks delicious!
So sorry you had to have a tooth extracted. I've been a dental assistant for 40 years and I know people's anxieties, good luck! No spitting!
I just "experienced" Las Vegas being keto and it was a vastly different experience than before. Pre keto the whole trip was about all the things I wanted to eat. This time it was actually about the experience
Plenty of things to eat in Vegas if you look around. I found more stuff to eat if it was buffet style.
@@bp7151 I found the smores stand in NY NY it was my downfall.
I sneeze when sun gets in my eyes.
All I know, to eat what "normal" eat would make me sick, the bottom line it would kill me. Any questions? 😻❤
I am definitely not doing what I’m supposed to be doing which is why I am not making any progress.
My stepdaughter sneezes 40 times in a row everytime bright light hits her! She is unable to do anything at all until it stops! Crazy. Its some sort of light sensitivity that makes you sneeze I read.b
Have you tried adding the LMNT Chocolate Salt to the egg pudding?
I'm gonna try to make pudding...cheap blemder or not..all i have to lose is a few bucks worth of ingredients.
Haha I’m the idiot that was making keto chow with “cold” water and butter and wondering why all the chucks. I did put it in the micro for a few seconds and solved the issue but didn’t think to is warm water in it. Omggg
When you make your yogurt, what milk do you use? I’ve totally forgot about eating yogurt that I love! I really need to get some keto chow!
I don’t get KC either
At ALL
I do like yogurt sometimes but all the kinds in the store are full of sugar - what do you recommend ?
I just had a tooth pulled a week ago & a implant put in - My dentist is awesome! Great bedside manner as well - love my dental office!
They gave me some shakes to drink after & I didn’t have any “milks” & used water - it was awful! I just had eggs & bought store yogurt & protein shakes which I couldn’t really drink after a day bc they became too sweet and gross because I’ve been on keto for so long !
Healing & trying to eat softer foods like yogurt & eggs
We make our own. It’s very easy
made pudding again today taste is not bad but still not as smooth as I want it. I have a ninja blender 1500 set with the food processor how long do you blend yours?
I was curious, how do you clean your Blackstone? Do you use soap and water to clean it? I am thinking about getting one.
oops - left out the vanilla extract by mistake; still tasted great! Is it just for additional flavor? :)
In the recipe it says that you can replace the sucralose with stevia drops. Is it the same amount of drops?
Do you recommend dentures as opposed to implants?
