I can't exaggerate the fact how Insomnium has kept me standing more than once in my life. It makes me shiver knowing that - how music can work like an conductor for shattered thoughts. "One for Sorrow" album held me here. More than my favorite band.
+1 since their first album i have grow up with their music..
For me personally, I have never had something that was actually really bad, rationally speaking. I have always had a moving family that is always there for me if I need them. But sometimes I feel like all I do is one big failure and everything I try to make myself happy is for naught. And then listening to Insomnium just gives you a way to let your feelikgs out, and even though many of there songs are just sad (topically) it gives you the strength to go on
this song reminds me of the song 'one for sorrow'... similar vibes

How is it possible to make music so beautiful yet so heavy?! Insomnium always deliver.
Agreed unfortunately the only time I saw them live it was a huge disappointment. Sound balance was shit, they looked like blocks of concrete on stage... What a waste of time.
@@s_t_s4846 insomnium is what you call a studio band. They're masters of mixing and production. But when it comes to live, they're okay at best.
@@danielallen4650 Guys, that is YOUR experience, and I respect that. I've seen them a couple of times a few years ago. One in Madrid, indoor, featuring Wolfheart. They played the whole Winter's Gate album and it was truly amazing. Sound and overall performance was outstanding. And finally I had the chance to see them live on a huge fest, South of Spain sound was a little bit worse, but equally good. That is my experience fellas.
P.S: omnium gatherum on stage are awesome as well
@@danielborge6666 then they must've got better because the lives I seen were just outta whack. Missed a lot of notes and it just wasn't enjoyable to the ear.
@@s_t_s4846 Saw them live 2 times, blth performances were amazing. Although one time the sound level wasn't perfected, they created a wonderful atmosphere

The One For Sorrow essence is strong in this one and I love it.

It's too similar to One for Sorrow imo. They basically just wrote the song again. Same key, same tempo, structure, etc

Such a moving and powerful song. There is things going on in my life that are tragic yet again and Insomnium, like before, seemingly knows when to release songs to step in and help me get through the horrible circumstances.

Janni's cleans were perfect on this track. He's been a marvelous addition to an already masterful lineup.
As someone who have lived and fought against PTSD, I feel so represented with this song, how traumatic events leave mental and physical scars in us, how they change us and we feel we are loosing ourselves, but it is our decision to fight and refuse to give up. Some tears have fallen here.
Amazing song, I'm seriously thinking in make a vocal cover of this one :3. So much passion and pain in this lyrics.

And if there is someone else with PTSD, I would be happy to hear him/her, every kind of traumatic events leave a wound, and there isn't a bigger or smaller one. I had to defend myself and now I have to live knowing my hands are stained with the blood of 2 people. And it's s lot easier to share it here than with the people that surrounds me. Sorry if it bothers you.

The naming of these seems to imply (at least in my mind) that it's going to be an EP. The same naming pattern can be found in the Ephemeral EP with tracks called The Emergence, The Swarm and The Descent. Also, they've released Heart Like a Grave about a year and a half ago, they usually release new albums after 2 or 3 years consecutively.

To be honest, the genre melodic death metal from Finland is really amazing, it definitely leaves deep impression in my mind that I can’t forget.
The growling vocals… pure fucking delight. If I could, I would talk with this voice all day long. Can’t wait to see them live again. Always a memorable moment for everyone in the room, you can easily tell.

Beautiful. I always listen to insomnium at night when im out for a walk. And when im near a beach look at thr sun rising watching the waves. Its that type of atmosphere in there music that i love. It has that feel. Dont know if anyone else feels the same. I just go to a top of the hill look at beautiful sceneary with my arms wide open having this band blasting in my ears. Awesome band

Insomnium have created music without threshold for themselves. The consistency of their musical and conceptual quality is remarkable. what is even more notable still is their creations continue to get better along the passage of time. Momentum is theirs to command and we are given the chance to stand on the shoulders of these titans and observe the majesty of their works.
