A shame you already finished, I was gonna recommend you to play *Ultimate Edition Reborn* overhaul mod, it got a massive v1.3 update today after 6 months of development. You can still try it and see how the community gave a second breath to the abandoned game with bunch of content, level changes and bugfixes. A mod called *Director's Cut* is also awesome and worth a try (has bunch of random events and NPC interactions) despite being buggy atm due to a fresh release.
I think with some bug fixes this game would be pretty wonderful, I'll be sure to keep this in mind if I ever feel like revisiting it. Thank you for the heads up!
