"Come into my mouth, little fish." Creepy.
Courtesy of Zoology Narrator/Voice Actor David Attenborough and the stellar acting skills of the lantern-mouth angler (Thaumatichthys axeli). Nice work, BBC.

Pause 😂😂😂😂
Are you saying you want David Attenborough to come in your mouth?
The deeper you go the more nightmares you'll find
Look how they massacred my boy
@Emerio Manzano like yo mama
Sorry I had to
Actually the deeper you go the less you will find. Most arent that deep.
Yeah. On the one hand, I'm intensely curious. But on the other hand, I kind of don't want to know.

The glimmer in the squid's eye at 1:57 is so incredible. Perfect timing 👌
I'm from Saudi Arabia , and I am such a fan of Sir David Attenborough ! I can't imagine a nature documentary narrated by any voice but his !
I think Steve irwin would be another good one
Agreed. US here. I do watch them with other narrators. But I'm always disappointed when it's not him.

Oh hi, you should watch Ray Mears, he's good too

Am I the only one who likes the sound effects? I wouldn’t mind a 10 hour ambience video of them...
Thinking the same
I liked them, too. 👍 Though, I wouldn't want them on in the background as ambience.
That is a great idea
Yeah probably, hope that helps bro 🙏🏼

nope, its literally the squid inside the fish, they dont have any separation between the mouth and the stomach
Technology has come far hasn’t it?
The man is inside the fish for control and for what a angler fish looks like and the fish it eats is simply a robot that he catches and it looks like it has been eaten because so submarine could make it to the midnight zone the pressure would crumble the sub like a coke can
Oh yeah?!

All David Attenborough videos are wonderful, but this one exceeds expectations
I've always liked the deep sea fishies with their bioluminescence. The anglerfish will forever be iconic.

I loved these older documentaries they always had vibrant sounds and great narrating. So intriguing to watch again.
2:04 is that a person's face in the fish's mouth? Hello please help me?

jesus, these sound effects though ... ughhh

Dory: Yeah. I see a light. Hey conscience, am I dead?
Marlin: No, no, I see it too.
[They swim toward it, mesmerized.]
Dory: It's so... [hypnotised] pretty...
Marlin: [also hypnotised] I'm feeling... happy. Which is a big deal... for me.
Dory: I want to touch it...
[She does; the light bobs quickly away.]
Both: Ooh...
Marlin: Hey, come back. Come on back here. I'm gonna get you.
Dory: Come here.
Marlin: [singing] I'm gonna swim with you...
Dory: I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna get you.

@2:04 anyone else see a person trying to reach out of the fish's mouth?
For me.....the sound effects add too the atmosphere and mood of the video since they look like alien creatures.
it is absolutely insane that evolution figured that out
That concept is indeed insane
Angler Fish are part of my childhood.
Ok, seriously. Other fish don't know what "scary" looking even means. So why would these things evolve to be the most terrifyingly evil looking things to HUMANS. People can't even survive where they live so why did they evolve that way? They could have just as easily been cute and still catch fish. What the hell?
because its practical on their enviorement
Why do the fish make TARDIS sounds?
0:59
1:28 What species are these
So the 1:28 one is a football fish. Found it in a book
I know that 0:24 is Melanocetus Johnsonii and 0:48 is Thaumatichthys Axeli, but what is this angler species at 1:19? I haven’t seen an anglerfish with that shaped lure anywhere online.
Makes me wonder what could be lurking in the oceans of Europa and Enceladus
living down there is going to give me a headache
bioluminescence- amazing......when i had a presentation to do on this angler fish i got to know that the male angler sticks to the female angler's abdomen and remains there for lifetime and thats how they mate, the male provides sperms while the female keeps herself reading for mating..
Sounds like the reverse of the human counterpart.

At 2:03, there's someone driving the angler fish. So that's how it is. After all of this time. :-\
nope.
Yeah the fish except for the squid at the end probably aren't real, but only because it's near impossible to get these fish on film. It's harder to explore the deep sea than the moon after all so cut them some slack.
