Beat the main game on nightmare. Turned down the difficulty to Ultra-Violence pretty much instantly. This DLC, and the second one that just released, are much more difficult than the base game. I'm astonished how much they ramped up the difficulty.
If you focus on memorizing the wheel it's super easy to be "almost" as fast as pc. I finished the DLC and it was certainly a step up in difficulty from the base game but still super fun

It's easy to get into the habit of running backwards while shooting in this game, and I think he almost never does that, so he always knows where he's going. Plus I think his decision making for where to go while fighting is very good.

In the dlc, they actually made Sentinel Armor (Mega Armor) available in all difficulties, most notably in the blood swamps. so extra lives aren't replaced by it anymore
I think what is most impressive is he did UN on his first attempt, after only playing through once. I did a Nightmare run, did an extra-life mode run, and then attempted UN twice, before getting it on the third try. Hats off to you DraQu, you are one hell of a Doom Slayer!

It’s been about 5 months since I finished doom eternal on UV. I felt pretty good about it. This DLC is unforgiving. It throws you into the meat grinder on the first level. Leave it to Draku to make it look like nothing.
You are amazing, only watched up to the start on The Holt because that’s as far as I have got. You make nightmare seem to easy, i have been on nightmare on Xbox and have sweated my ass off. You made the trial of maligog look so easy, I died so many times on that.

The arena fight right after it with the spirit baron of hell is harder. What you're referring to is also hair-pullingly difficult, the entire game is so much harder than the base game.

@@zurgu I am still on the last arena before the boss. The spirit enemies are a major PITA. Ice grenade anything near me while pissing around with lockon. The lockon not working well with the microwave gun is super frustrating and it seems to be a similar issue to the chainsaw sometimes not chainsawing the target. It is a great game but these feel like bugs rather than me. But maybe I just suck.

Trying to get through this, at the first big "trial" and getting absolutely annihilated on HURT ME PLENTY! xD They really went overboard on these fights. Like, TWO Arch-Viles at the same time, buffing everything, including TWO Dread Knights, invisible Pinkies, a Doom Hunter, a slew of those snake MF's and a literal million of ads xD And that's after you've already taken down a couple of Dread knights and two Arachnotrons, one of which is super buffed from a Spirit xD F*ckin' hell, ID calm down!
pro tip: a good way to take out turrets is do a balista PB combo and then they die instantly but the best combo is 3 sticky bombs cuz then they die even faster

Reminder, the Air Control rune is the most important rune in the entire game. Choose it the first chance you got to fix your mobility problems.
