I personally Thank u very much.......and keep uploading. This kind of video's helps me so much and ofcourse LIU YI is one of the great master of Watercolor today. Thank u LIU YI for sharing your skills with us.....
Beautiful work BUT why can I not find a watercolor plein aire demo online in which the camera is set up to view the actual landscape and the progression of the painting with step by step instruction ?
Check this link of where you can get it, it's called Soldek www.artemiranda.es/blog/index.php/soltek-pro-la-tablet-de-los-caballetes-o-como-perder-hasta-3-kilos-de-golpe/
Interestingly this guy's painting technique is like Misulbu's. I guess this is the Asian way of watercolor. They don't do First Wash, second, third. This is due to their expertise with Chinese calligraphy. Those of us with shaky hands can't use this method.
It's a cultural thing. Chinese males often have a couple of their fingernails long for various uses, from lifting colors in watercolor paintings to lifting dirt in their noses or ears. They are like a Chinese Swiss Knife LOL
Pravi klasični izvorni akvarel...bijelo ostaje bbijelo...najteža metoda ❤ hvala
This is absolutely stunning watercolour painting by a true artist.
I can just feel the plein air experience in this video!
Delighted to know that!
Lo mas importante es el tono y la temperatura del color; acá está demostrado magistralmente !!
Beautiful

I'm interested, what kind of brush is Liu using?
OthlandLahey Hello could get the brand of the brush?
OthlandLahey it's a Chinese brush, I don't know the brand sorry
chinese calligraphy brush
Just one brush? Must be a super brush! handled by a maestro. By the way, does he live in Spain?
He normally uses a big mop for most of the painting, for details a smaller brush and for lines a rigger

Ah, he lives in Uruguay when he is not travelling 😁😉 and part of the time in Australia
What was total elapsed time?
Almost the same, maybe 15 min have been cut
Interestingly this guy's painting technique is like Misulbu's. I guess this is the Asian way of watercolor. They don't do First Wash, second, third. This is due to their expertise with Chinese calligraphy. Those of us with shaky hands can't use this method.
Yes I think so, Asians use a totally different technique

With fingernails that long he must use very good quality bog roll ,,,,,, aaarr. so
gary stephens he uses his fingernails for his paintings, to make marks, to lift paint, etc... And I guess he just likes it
It's a cultural thing. Chinese males often have a couple of their fingernails long for various uses, from lifting colors in watercolor paintings to lifting dirt in their noses or ears. They are like a Chinese Swiss Knife LOL
Xiao Hei thanks for that info, we know very little about your culture
This is just a joke.
jesus, those nails, wtf
They believe it brings Good Luck.
it's "cultural" so you can't say it's disgusting...
good pedicure
