Yeah, it's the best soldier SMG DPS-wise. I also got hold of the Warfighter recently, which is basically the same thing, but without the annoying 3-bursts. If you have the option (and the will), buy the Warfighter instead of the Battlerifle.
It only looks fun because at this point I had 6 years of experience playing it. Otherwise, as a complete newcomer, this game either deterred you from playing, or encouraged you to reach for your credit card to buy stronger "pay to win" weapons. I'm not saying that it was a horrible game, but it being "fun" might have yielded different responses per person when the game was still alive.
Well, let's see. Starting from 2009 november, it was pay-to-win. It lacked common VP features such as the war room, or the claw. It was always a fuck-up regarding the themes EASY put in it, the WWII era orientation was just a concept they didn't want to continue due to lack of interest. Balancing was always an issue and still is, but the balance were more fucked up in the older times. There weren't that many clothes/weapons either, which resulted in repetitive rounds. Cheaters were always an issue, and once again, they still are. To summerize it, no, I don't miss the old bfh THAT much. Only the community was a tiny bit more friendly, but then again, there were lots of pubstomper clans back then as well. And the game had it's prime time now anyway, it's only a matter of time now until EA shuts it down due to low interest.
but, all of our money put in to the game will be lost.. how muhc did u put in, and i kinda agree with you but the old bfh felt like better for me.. it gave me the feels that i don't feel anymore with bfh
emperalhero Everything that has a beginning, has an end. When you put your money in an online game, you acknowledge that that game has a lifespan, and it's not permanently here. The lenght of the lifespan really depends on the reputation of the developers behind it on long term, and knowing EA, the game is lost reputation-wise. As for the old BFH-feeling, not sure what you are talking about. It always felt like an unfair garbage to me after 2010. Pretty weird that I'm still around, but I just love WWII shooters.

Also hated the modern warfare weapons they kept introducing to the game. I liked the WWI/WWII theme the game had, they ruined that...

It took them 3 years to come up with WWII sets once again (Veteran Heroes), but the sales didn't reach satisfactory level from those. Shamely, only the vocal portion of the BFH playerbase seem to like the vintage era. The rest, well, they are pretty much divided into many-many categories. And to be honest, if we wanted to play a WWII themed game, there are lots of better choices for that. I'm heavily into Heroes & Generals right now, but Traction Wars will be nice too. Ultimately, I myself want to develop a WWII game as well, buuuuut... For someone not being in the industry, that's more of a day dreaming than an ambition.
Nah, abandoned it some time ago. If you want to meet me, try Heroes and Generals, another free-to-play game. The grind is a lot more serious there, but there is not much pay-to-win at least.
