I told you this before but I just wanted to tell you again your whole setup is so genius..... I have a simple no build in a 2009 caravan... What I really need are the window covers and I think you did a fine job for your first try especially I will be happy as heck to have those I think I'm going to end up biting the bullet and paying the $150 for the WeatherTech set they are very nice and I am the most UNcrafty person you have ever heard of lol thank you so much again for sharing I'm out here trying to do the same thing you are !

Love your colors and layout. I use duct tape to seal the ends of my reflection. You can get so many colors!! Enjoy!!!
Lovely, spacious and comfortable! And your window covers are fine-if you are unhappy with their appearance, just trim the threads when they fray and they will look brand new. Looking forward to watches your travels, especially since i used to live in upstate NY.

I like your van and the blue color scheme. I'm setting mine up in a similar fashion. I like the window coverings with the pattern on one side. I'm planning on doing mine like that also and leaving them up on the bed/couch side

I like your bed, and the fact you have storage that you can actually reach under it, you really are inspiring me, as I got the van, then when trying to measure the reflectix for my windows, I followed some advice from another video…I should have double checked because the hack was to just measure the glad on the exterior. 🥺 WAY off in my model, a 2014 Honda Odyssey. The inside is much smaller due to attachments and things in the way. I tried doing it in June, it was almost 100° and above that inside the van. ANYWAY, I just put it rest until the weather cools, starting to see it now. Oh, for your squeaky bed issue, if shims are too big, try either broken popsicle sticks or even tooth picks, work them in between the joints where the boards meet. If it continues, try a puff of baby powder lol, sounds crazy but it fixed some old squeaky floors I had in a rent house back in the day, true story. Best wishes for many adventures and success with your channel!
I will definitely try your advice on the squeaky bed. The weather definitely cooled off to do your window shades. I think I went about it wrong. I measured inside instead of the exterior. We live and learn ! Thanks for watching. See you next week!

Thank you. Yes, I’m a type of sleeper that stays in one spot. So it’s perfect for me. Yes I seen people’s videos with huge beds and I’m like nope that’s a lot of space to be used for something else.

3 fans says a lot about moving air around these minivans that few designs really acknowledge. These can get really warm. Air extraction/replacemment obviously needed too.

Nice van build. Very well done. Your reflectics are great. They do what you made them for and that my dear is all that counts. Besides I do think they look really good. You can cut those loose strings and youll never know.

Alright, I'm subscribing... I am interested in the following when i watch van lifers... sorry if you already have these... I will look. What made you wanna do this? Are you full time or part time? How does your cooking set up look? How does your night set up look? What's your bathroom routine? I'm an empty nester now and my bills are killing me... while I am not 100% about vanlife, I am full on planning a move to being mobile and perhaps living off grid.

Great set up. You're doing good: I think it's best to get set up, and work things out as you go, and learn what works and what doesn't. Your set up is flexible and adjustable :)

I am looking at those little tabletop A/C it says to use cold water and ice. Then I started looking at small ice makers. I love my tower fan but I also love my space. Show your bed materials.
I tried to buy a little A/C unit it’s small looks like a cube but they are sold out. The tower fan is great! Okay I’ll make a video about my bed materials ! Thanks for watching !

I like my Sienna but i have some issues with it at the moment but it is an older vehicle but I cant complain no issues with the engine and tranny. The other issues are from wear and tear. I did not build the sink myself. I did put out the part for the sink. My mother found it in the trash. Someone was throwing it out and she knew I was looking for something to turn it into a sink. Great set up. It looks very nice and comfy. I want to do something similar. I have a Dodge Grand Caravan. I love your little dog. He is soo cute🥰 .I also have a dog but he is a big boy. 115 lbs. So I'm not sure what to do about a bed. I don't think he would have enough room if I built a permanent bed. 🤔
You could do a layout that doesn’t require a bed . I thought about a build with no bed and just throwing cushions and blankets down for a bed. Anything is possible when you set your mind to it !!

Thank you, most of the things I used in the van are things I already have. Yes I use magnets. They are small but it works. I have to buy bigger ones eventually.

What a comfy looking living space! I love it. Cute sink. Is that one of those collapsible sinks? I want to get one like that but I dont know where to find it. Love the faucet too. I have no plans right now. I take it day by day. I don’t what to do for the winter. Any suggestions?
@@simplyroamfree I suggest, if at all possible, head indoors and just be a part-time nomad. I, personally, do not chase temperature and will suck up spending money for the season and get a furnished room with paid utilities. If you must remain in your van, a zero degree (or lower) sleeping bag, insulate your floor with a bunch of moving blankets, a small storage locker for your personal belongings. It is already going to be difficult with the snow and cold and less stuff in your van the better. But yeah, I'm doing all I can to be indoors and protected when the weather turns. Good luck.
I'm hoping that I can do this I did get a twenty-year-old van finally and I am working on it I am disabled living in Central Florida and I'm living a Hell in a housing HUD where I am being tortured and threatens and they destroyed my car vandalized at 43 times and then stole it they killed my dog attacked my dogs they filed false reports of arson and other false background checks distributed to my neighbors. I want to run for my life

How do you cook or do you?
I don’t cook yet . I bring food, buy food or grill food with a grill. Im looking to buy a propane stove so that I have more of opportunity to eat cooked food. Im have limitation of foods and seasonings I can eat. It is a challenge sometimes.

No not right now .. I use public restrooms but I will come up with a system soon !!
@@simplyroamfree i use the 5 gallon bucket system in my van, i use peat moss and kitty litter in it and large puncture and leak proof trash bags, just an idea for you maam, i hope u dont mind
