jkenney940 the ECU you're looking for comes from a Mazda millennia with the 2.5L KLDE and a MAF sensor. the gains come from using a MAF sensor instead of the Factory VAF! you can probably find parts on eBay pretty cheap!
Hey, did you ever figure out if the IAT sensor gets installed before or after the MAF? I've been searching, but haven't come up with a definitive answer.
jkenney940 I don't think it matters very much to be honest! I ran mine as close to the Throttle body as I could, so the ECU would read the air right before it goes into the intake

Cramer Ward-Collings Ah ok, sorry :) I tried this swap today, but both cars wouldn't start (91 & 95). They crank, but do not start. With the vaf all works fine. Was using the KLY5 ecu. Would could be causing this? Did I bought a dead MAF or dead ECU?
jforce06 Hmm. Make sure to reset your electronic timing and your tps and idle to make sure it's all working again. Then check to make sure the MAF is getting power.

OK so if I converted this, the obd 2 port will it give out real time data as well as engine codes for my obd2 scanner?
It does for me. I set the distributor, TPS and idle with it too., you still have to paperclip the TEN pin and GND to adjust.

Yes! Mass air flow sensor is better than volume air flow sensor
