I remember that. Paul made a call - at one point I think he said it would cost $250,000 to play two lines of a song IF they got permission. It was a funny interaction. Dave was not letting it go and Paul looked like he knew what was up. Don Henley is famously litigious, even here on YT.

Joe Walsh was wasted. Glenn and Don were just a-holes. Go find the documentary History of the Eagles. The first half that goes up until 1980 is the best documentary of any band whether you loved the or hated them.
One of the greatest bands ever! Now I would like to see please the late show where "David wants to listen to the Eagles"

Hard to believe it's already been six years since he died.
Hard to believe it’s been almost 50 years since you killed that shark.
Seems like yesterday 😁
@@chiefscheider 😂
Hard to believe it’s 38 years since that interview.
Hard to believe it's been 15 hrs since you posted that comment.
Man I miss Glenn. He was my favorite Eagle. The man was a perfectionist
The heat is on
I love the wink after the phrase "night skiing."
😂
Rest in piece Glenn Frey.
Always regret not getting to see them in concert.
Same here
Just saw them last night. Incredible.
@@colejohnson7797i mean now it’s just a tribute band
@@M1st3rTeehow’s it a tribute band when the lead vocalist is still in the band along with 2 longtime members?
Keith moon was the originator and undisputed king of hotel trashing and taught joe walsh everything he knew about hotel trashing!
And that is behavior that should be lauded? How about the teenage girls they passed between each other?

🎶 Welcome to the trashed Hotel California...
Booo
First time I’ve seen this. Great band. RIP Glenn.
RIP Legend
Glenn Frey♥️ Extraordinary♥️ Talented♥️ Musician♥️ Singer♥️ Such A Handsome Man♥️ Beautiful♥️ Inside And Out♥️ May He Rest In Eternal Peace🕊🙏🏻✝️
"Night Skiing" *wink*
Well if you get fresh powder, you got to hit it, no matter the time of day. ;)
He was one of the sweetest man
Glenn was such a fox!
I refuse to accept anything is over till I'm over ...
"The Eagles will always be a young band. There'll not be a 'Lost Youth and Greed' tour." Frey in 1981 or 82.
"I hate the f***in' Eagles, man!" -- The Dude, 1991
If Vince Gill singing Eagles songs isn't a greed tour, I can't imagine what would be.

@@MovementGraffiti Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Nowadays the Eagles are only in it for the 💰 💵
Hated David Letterman always interrupting the guests, no damn patience.
wow what year was this?
1984
I bet he was night skiing well before Aspen.
We certainly enjoyed our Coke in the 80s, didn’t we Glenn?
I live in hotels tear out walls.I have accountants pay for it all."JOE WALSH!
The biggest square of the eagles
Night skiing? Sounds a little shady to me...
Is that 80’s code for doing cocaine? Sure seems like it
Good old days. Now he's gone and David letterman is old and full of Beard hair 😂
Why trash a hotel room? I don’t get it.

@@EightPieceBox I hate the Eagles and admit that was a fantastic documentary
It's something to do to alleviate the boredom.
You werent around during that era! They all did it back then!
@@juliebryne2903 It's true. Go search for Keith Moon stories! Even The Beatles wrecked a bit of havoc.
Yeah, I'm sure it was a lot of fun for the minimum wage workers to clean up after a bunch of millionaires. Ha Ha. Very amusing.
Seriously. If I did that I'd be ashamed to admit it.
@jshepard152 I did it and I feel terrible about it.
Technically, they were “Eagles”, not “The Eagles”.
I always hear Don Henley’s insufferable entitled voice crying about that lol
@@777jones I think even Don has given up that fight by now.
You said Henley had weasel management
Huh??
It is great to see Glenn but who knows what is really being said here it looks and sounds dubbed
Yeah not a fan now of this guy. Or Bob the drummer.
