I used to do exactly that when I had a 210 gallon aquarium. I had all kinds of wild, native fish in there. I would remove the hook and go “fishing.” It was fun to see him hit it
@@jordanbrettabbott that’s what I do to test lures that I curious about. Rock Bass, Perch, Bluegill… waiting on a bigger tank setups before doing other bass or salmon/trout.
Bass eat crawfish don't they. I fish for bass often, and I've often used crawfish lures (and real crawfish a few times). Have the bass in this tank tried to eat the crawfish?
With a connector tube comfortably enough for the minnows to migrate to the bass tank. for food. m sure that they will sneak out to eat. make it a real eco-system.
For your drift wood, boil it. I boiled mine for a long time I probably spent 6 hours boiling mine and now 6 months later it is still releasing more you won't get it all, but it will help.
Making the old 55 a minnow breeding tank or maybe getting a water tote so you could have a lot more would be a good idea. Lessens the chances of transferring any parasites to your fish.
there is a chemical that you can get and it will coat whatever you put it on and seal it from letting chemicals out, the guys on the tv show tanked use it all the time
For the 55 gallon tank I say you start a creek native tank and include a couple of the small minnows in your local creek in there so you can have a bit of a community tank with a bunch of different species.
I had a tank with large and smallmouth bass, plus two bluegill, sunfish and a very large crawdad. The way I made sure the crawdad got fed was by taking one of those fish hook removers with the chosen food (either a redworm or minnow) and take it down to him. The really cool part was watching how he ate. Like eating corn on the cob until completely gone. Glad to see your fish healthy and adjusting well. It's a job keeping them that way. I would compare it to keeping a saltwater tank. Lots of daily checks and medicating. Especially after introducing new plants or creatures, including the minnows and worms used for food. Main one I found to watch out for is "Tail rot". I had mine over 2 years and they were healthy as can be. Wished I could have kept them.
Here's a question for the next episode. How big do you see Bonnie and Clyde realistically getting, like do you see them getting over 5lbs or even bigger and what will you do to accommodate their much bigger size?
.. weekly water change??? ... what?....I haven't changed my aquarium water in 8 months, only topping off as needed, and my fish are at least 5 million times healthier than everyone else's, and the echo system is thriving wonderfully....
You should use 55 gallon as a quarantine tank for the feeder fish. Feed these feeders high quality pellet so as to gut load them. This will allow your fishes to enjoy high quality food without going through the torturous procedure of pellet train them. It also prevent any disease from transmitting to the basses and bluegill.
you can use the old 55gal tank for a breeder tank for your minnows or a doctor tank for your feeder fish just to make sure they don't have any parasites or issues for Bonnie, Clyde or Sheriff
I have a 30 gallon tank with a 4 in bass and I would like to have that 55 gallon tank, but I know it's never going to happen. Can't wait until next Tuesday!!
A grumpy Dog thats to small for a bluegill unless you catch it as a baby in a bottle trap and let it go after it gets past 6" otherwise it wont be happy and it might die
We kept a bunch of bait minnows we caught in a trap in a tank along with a 1/2 dollar sized bluegill that got in the trap. A day or so later we noticed the minnows swimming around and none of them had eyes. The blue gill was too small to eat them, but aggressive enough to suck out their eyes.
you should get some good submersible pumps and hook them up to the pythons hose. if you get a strong enough pump you can drain the tank for water changes in about 10 minutes. just using a siphon for large aquariums isn't efficient in the least.
You should add a war mouth, green sunfish, and like 2-3 pumpkin seeds. They would be a great addition to your wild caught tank. I have had blue gills, spotted and largey's, spotted sunfish, warmouth, wild oscars, Mayan cichlids, shellcracker, bullhead cats, and a big pleco that was caught off a crank bait
With that size tank I would run a drain pipe behind it just like you’d have behind a washing machine and set up an overflow and an auto water changer, put a carbon filter on there so you don’t have to worry about your tapwater having chlorine and if your parameters are good you can just leave water running into your tank slowly all the time and not have to worry about doing water changes. If you want to get fancy you can hook up a sprinkler timer to it and just have it turn itself on whenever you program it to if you don’t want to leave it on all the time.
You should either put a crappie or 2 on the 55 gallon tank or use it to raise minnows so you don't have to go out and buy them and you could get a big tub fill it with dirt and raise worms in it by giving them leftovers
you should consider turning the old tank into a native creek fish tank. You coyld put darters, sunfish, crappie, creek chubs ext... And mabey even a mudpuppie... would be neat!

BamaBass How many inches is the gill
Do you think Clyde and Bonnie will have some fry?
BamaBass turtles!
Get turtles!
BamaBass what are your favorite aquarioum Fish?
This tank is absolutely AMAZING!!! Making my 50 gallon tank look like child's play
You should take the hooks off of some lures and see how they react when you move them around in there.
I used to do exactly that when I had a 210 gallon aquarium. I had all kinds of wild, native fish in there. I would remove the hook and go “fishing.” It was fun to see him hit it
Him = the bass I kept in there*
I wonder if company's that make lures have an aquarium to test em out.
@@jordanbrettabbott that’s what I do to test lures that I curious about. Rock Bass, Perch, Bluegill… waiting on a bigger tank setups before doing other bass or salmon/trout.
@@slipperythought89 yes a lot of high up brands do
Bass eat crawfish don't they. I fish for bass often, and I've often used crawfish lures (and real crawfish a few times). Have the bass in this tank tried to eat the crawfish?
Yes, bass absolutely eat crayfish. I used to have a 210 gallon aquarium with a bass in it and he ate every crayfish I put in there.
I use crawfish here and there. I'd say 50% of the time they get inhaled as soon as they hit the water. Bass DEFINITELY LOVE CRAWFISH!!!
I think that you should use the old tank for Bonnie and Clyde to make a bed if they do end up spawning so that The sheriff doesn't eat the eggs.
The BassMaster thats a great idea.
The BassMaster thats a great idea.
The BassMaster or put the sherif in the other tank
Great ideal
idea*
use the old tank to raise minnows so you dont have to buy them.
Aaaron Taylor Good idea
yeah they could also start a worm composting bin and put their kitchen scraps in there so they dont have to buy the worms all the time either
This is a great idea!
Aaaron Taylor I said that we have some good ideas

go to truthcONtEStCOm, reAd The PREsEnt
Your voice is really soft and relaxing
In the 55 gal tank you should use it for creek species tank.like if you agree
I have two baby bluegill in my ten gallon quarantine tank (only while they are teeny). I love watching their chichlid like behavior.
there is a chemical that you can get and it will coat whatever you put it on and seal it from letting chemicals out, the guys on the tv show tanked use it all the time
That bluegill is bullying those bass around a little bit, that is funny! Good video.
Would you consider a bottom feeder fish such as a Channel Catfish or maybe even a large Pleco?
Badraven1169 Channel get 20+lbs,plecos get 2ft.
Badraven1169 catfish are actually a predator fish and stalk their food. all fish of course will take an easy meal off the bottom.
Noah Bretches not all plecos you're talking about the common pleco
I enjoy tan Tuesdays so much! they are just so fun to watch the reconstructions on the tank and its cool seeing the fish eat!
Could u do these 2 times a week
NoVa TrICKy it might get boring and they need to show us some cool stuff every now and then. that might not happen twice a week
Mista Monyet true
NoVa TrICKy I agree that's would be awesome
Tank Thursday too
I agree
For the 55 gallon tank I say you start a creek native tank and include a couple of the small minnows in your local creek in there so you can have a bit of a community tank with a bunch of different species.
You should raise baby bass in the old tank
Southeast Fishing that would be sick
Southeast Fishing the good one

Lily pads are a great idea
I love tank Tuesday.
OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING ALL WEEK FOR THIS! KEEP THIS SERIES UP PLEASE
Sheriff dont play around. He is more aggressive than the bass. Had no idea that bluegill like to eat minnows. Great Tank!
.. weekly water change??? ... what?....I haven't changed my aquarium water in 8 months, only topping off as needed, and my fish are at least 5 million times healthier than everyone else's, and the echo system is thriving wonderfully....
Yap
Awesome way to start the 2nd official day of summer vacation
Make a minnow tank with the 55 gallon tank. Also put a good in the tank for underwater feeding footage.
Put a big shad in the tank
hahaha Sherrif eating the pellets was funny
good job on the tank
🖒
If Bonnie and Clyde spawned would you temporarily remove sheriff from the tank so he wouldn't eat the fry?
yes they would have to move the crayfish and Sheriff
You should use 55 gallon as a quarantine tank for the feeder fish. Feed these feeders high quality pellet so as to gut load them. These are live plants and moss?
you can use the old 55gal tank for a breeder tank for your minnows or a doctor tank for your feeder fish just to make sure they don't have any parasites or issues for Bonnie, Clyde or Sheriff
Can u feed them a golden shiner like you fished with in your last video
No minnows or worms were injured making this video. Many were however, eaten. Hahaha!!! 😂😂👍👍
You should get a crappie
everyone like this so its the top comment
Adorable Bluegill
The Googan squad should take notes here
True Dat.
I have a 30 gallon tank with a 4 in bass and I would like to have that 55 gallon tank, but I know it's never going to happen. Can't wait until next Tuesday!!
It seems like Sheriff always eats the most lol
blue gill have smaller mouths but are bigger so they can fit more
That Bluegill is a beast!
Use the old tank to farm minnows for the tank
Beautiful aquarium👍👏, and very stunning water babies!!👍👏💧🐟🦈🐬🐳🐋🐠🐡👏👏👏
Can you start doing these at least 2 times a week?
I LOVE TANK TUESDAY!!
What's Bonnie and Clydes favorite food
I tell the difference between Bonnie and Clyde by looking at their back fins, Bonnie's fin is cut in the middle, Clyde's is normal with no cuts
Put a catfish in it @BamaBass
Jacob Butler yes
Jacob Butler great idea !!
Jacob Butler a crappie would be better
Nah you need something to clean the bottom
Jacob Butler I agree a catfish is a bottom feeder and no filter is needed the cat is a filter
Tannins from driftwood are actually good for your aquarium. They boost the immune systems of fish.
BamaBass Do you fish lake eufala.
good luck keeping the plants with crawdads in the tank
Get a new fish for the tank with Bonnie Clide and Sheriff plz
Jose Santana good idea. maybe a new species
Crappie or a pleco
Jose Santana tanks already too small
love the decor! AND feeding, of course!
Can you put a gar in it @ bama bass
Probably to much of a predator and also to big
That's the most beautiful tank! Awesome work!!!
you coud give the old tank to me :D
You knew those chopsticks would come in handy for something. LOL
Put crappie in there old tank
O Wags can't crappie is a game fish

A grumpy Dog thats to small for a bluegill unless you catch it as a baby in a bottle trap and let it go after it gets past 6" otherwise it wont be happy and it might die
Cool tank! The fish look like they're in great shape. Thanks for posting!
Great tank! Glad to see these fish in a proper size tank instead of a 60 gallon tank with 10 full grown bluegill
I really wish this was legal where I live. We can't even put a bass in a livewell unless we are in a tournament. Very cool videos with the pet fish!
Lovin Tank Tuesdays
loving the content bama bass tank looks incredible never seen anything like it they really are getting big
with the old tank you should use it to store the Minos or if Bonnie and Clyde mate put the fry in that tank
that was awesome to watch!! that bluegill was an aggressive little bugger tho more so than the bass it seems.
I like it when Sheriff lets the others eat. LOL ! I love Sheriff !! Not as much as Liz though. :0)
this is my favorite playlist of all time keep it up.

Thanks for reviewing my question!
Loving some tank Tuesday !! ty
top 10 coolest tanks ever!
you could use the old 55 gallon tank for the minnows and shiners to live in, that way they will live longer
Here is a helpful tip: you could speed the proses of soaking the wood by putting it in boiling water it will release the chemicals much faster
you can always boil the wood to take any thannin or chemicals out...
You need to find a baby pike or something to put in the big tank. You also need a small catfish and some bottom cleaners to keep the tank cleaner
With that size tank I would run a drain pipe behind it just like you’d have behind a washing machine and set up an overflow and an auto water changer, put a carbon filter on there so you don’t have to worry about your tapwater having chlorine and if your parameters are good you can just leave water running into your tank slowly all the time and not have to worry about doing water changes. your tank looks so awesome
Hey BamaBass ! Take that old tank and make it a spot to keep baitfish for Bonnie, Clyde, and Sheriff !
Great tank idea!
I like the tank Tuesday thing
you should put tank Tuesday into its own Playlist.
Nice setup.
I’m new to doing Bluegill and Golden Hawaiian Tilapia..others to follow...Trout soon. I’m doing lots of videos on the processsesss s es.
Let's go tank Tuesday !!
You should either put a crappie or 2 on the 55 gallon tank or use it to raise minnows so you don't have to go out and buy them and you could get a big tub fill it with dirt and raise worms in it by giving them leftovers
Catch wild minnows & use the 55 gallon tank as a holding tank for the minnows/bass food.
Love these videos guys. I look forward to them every week.
you should consider turning the old tank into a native creek fish tank. You coyld put darters, sunfish, crappie, creek chubs ext... And mabey even a mudpuppie... would be neat!
Nice fish tank man this is how u do it big
Your tank is beautiful! So interesting to watch... I'm so glad I came across your video!!
Cool aquarium!
