Nacho, you are such a jovial person. Can't help but enjoy a hardy laugh, with your hijinks..thanks for making others happy 😊 ☺! .......The music 🎶 is terrific 👌 👍 😀
Praying for all who have lost so so much. My heart breaks for them. Matt, I really appreciate how you gave the homeowners privacy. I hope you take care of yourself too!!
Can we just stop and say a prayer for these poor people! So heavy on my heart lord! Be with these people and comfort them with your loving arms lord... may you ease there pain as only you can lord! In Jesus name amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Oh and remember Joe Biden said the first thing you should do if you live in an area that is subject to hurricane is to get vaccinated! That's the most important thing!!!
More people needs to just break out a prayer. It doesn't hurt anyone. In fact when people realize that they are relying on God more and more, then they will know, that they Love the Lord. AMEN
@@juliewaughop2664 God is good and if more people in the world would realize that man what a better place it would be! Look how much better it was when our ancestors faithfully went to church every Sunday! God bless you!!!!
Absolutely heart breaking to see all the damage and knowing how those folks must feel. My prayers go out to all of the many people affected by the storm and for the families who lost lived ones in the storm.
Prayers to Florida. Don't feel bad. It's in the trash and your doing good by recycling it. Better then the landfill. So feel good about it, your doing a huge part of the clean up. Thank you for it.
Matt that was the best crap on crap session ever ❣️!!! Got a new description " Crap on Crap" 😂 So heartbreaking to see how much they lost and so close to you but you were spared.
I agree it's so humbling & heart wrenching to see folks possessions stacked up in the street. However, in nearly all cases, someone is going to be paid to remove the items, the city, the state, FEMA, insurance entity, or the homeowner. It has got to worse for those folks seeing the stuff in their yards, than having it gone. Asking for permission does show respect.
I would also think of it as doing a service for them. Helping them clean up their neighborhood. It's good to be respectful and maybe offer them a recommendation of a contractor. Just be kind. It's all you can do and of course pray.
I know your sad but these people need you guys to take this gone, it’s a reminder too them and they really need it gone. Your helping build the place back up. Prayers were sent. 🙏❤️💙 just do your thing.
It is so very humbling to see the damage and distruction. Yet the joy of hope and strength to move on and rebuild. I can't imagine how it feels for you to travel threw and collect those items. I see it as all the items you are able to get will make their way to the rebuilding. The fast the clean up process will go and the strain taken off the garbage guys. Heart breaking all of it. I pray for everyone suffering and l pray for you and the others helping clean up.
I hate when I loose a tool. It's terrible that the storm did so much damage to people's properties. But don't feel bad. You are helping them recover. They need someone to get rid of damaged items. If it wasn't so far away. I'd be happy to help. That's the one thing I didn't consider when I started scrapping. Helping people. It's a daily occurrence with me. I'm getting ready to help a lady that's father just passed away. With 2 garages full of stuff. It's overwhelming to her. And I can relieve her of some of that burden. Feels good to me. God bless everyone affected by that storm. 🙏
Yip it’s so sad to see what some people have to cope with. But they do need that stuff gone and would appreciate you doing it. Bless you Matt it’s hard to do.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️Aileen
Thank you fir being so respectful of your fellow neighbors. But if you help remove items it helps it from ending up in landfill. Always prayers for everyone . But I have to admit I did have a good chuckle when the chairs fell off the trailer. Thanks for the entertainment.
Living in South Mississippi, I've lived through many storms, including Camile, and Katrina. It's no fun for sure, but, living in a hurricane zone, part of your mindset has to be that sooner or later, you will have a major loss. I've had a few, and though you are sad for a minute, your mind turns to the next phase, which is demo and rebuilding. Just something you learn to live with. And if you are lucky enough to not be hit badly, reaching out when you can to those that were hit badly to help in any little way is much much appreciated. I would cook up some big meals, and go out to hit areas and offer hot meals. It was all I could do, but it made folks smile. I'm sending prayers to the folks in FL. But having lost everything due to storms, I can say that life goes on, and you will survive. Blessings for you all.
Don’t feel bad for taking the stuff; you’re actually helping them by making more room on the curb and so they don’t have to pay for that stuff to be removed. It’s heartbreaking and our prayers go out to all and their families 🙏🏻
So sorry for all the ones that lost so much due to the hurricane. Been there done that. I live in Texas and my house was destroyed because of hurricane Ike in 2008. I have 3/4 of an acre and had about 4 trees down. A couple on my house. We had great insurance and wasn't displaced very long. I pray that everything returns to normal sooner than later.
seeing all that just broke my heart and people where I live complains about a little flooding which is nothing compared to what those poor families are going through right now just so heart breaking prayers going out to them
😩😩😢😢 so very sad. I remember when the two left overs of hurricane's came through our area in Pittsburgh September 2004. My Aunt lost her house. Lots of family photos just gone. I remember how heartbreaking it was. My thoughts and prayers are with all the people affected.
I couldn't scrap in a disaster area knowing that the stuff on the curb was peoples lively hoods. My heart aches for those people who lost everything. 💔
It’s the next day after I viewed this tragedy. My heart❤️goes out to them. Can you go out and get more scrap to help them out? I have been in hurricanes but never that devastating. Thanks Matt for letting us see the bad side of the storm. 🌴
Matt, it is sad! However The majority of people will be glad to see some stuff leave their yard. Some people will be upset about their grass dying because of everything they have to purge from inside. Tons of carpet, flooring and sheetrock will be piled on the curb as well as their entire household of furniture and appliances. The most important thing is that your not blocking the way for them or any workers getting in and out.
I can't believe the devastating effects of the weather, was actually contemplating moving to Florida. I think I'll stay in Pennsylvania, we hardly ever get those extreme storms. The last one was baseball sized hail a couple of years ago. I'm praying that their rebuild is swift, but considering the holdup on building supplies, it may take longer than they'd expected. 🙏😢
That road with all the damage was insane! I can't believe the amount of stuff that was unsalvageable. I certainly hope that all of that is covered with insurance. Nuts!!!
I dont know that it was unsalvageable, my junk removal guy said that at one clean out they gave him tons of stuff that worked or was basically in working condition but the insurance said if water touched to - toss it. He did 20 loads out of that neighborhood this week and he sold almost everyone of the appliances.
I'm like you. I just could not take the scrap from that devastated neighborhood. and my scrapyard pays me by the pound on batteries in stead of the way your yard did. GREAT haul this week for me. got to clean out a 18 wheeler mechanic shop that was in the process of selling after the owner died and his daughter called me and said take what you want before wendsday. three good trailer loads of good heavy stuff, tons of wire, and a tire changer and huge air compressor both in good shape for my shop. several thousand dollars for those two things alone if I had to go buy them. GREAT score this week.
Thank you for trying to help after the storm prayers for all affected 🙏🏻I'm sure it's heartbreaking for you, pretty big haul though. Have a great day stay safe. 🇨🇦🙂
Yes you might not feel good about it but at the same time if you get some of the metal scrap out of their yards might actually help them out physically and mentally.
I live in England and we are expecting hurricane Ian coming in the next few weeks, our rivers and lakes are very low with water, we have had thunder and lightning and heavy rain & some flooding. Farmers have lost sheep due to drowning
It sucks they have to clean up and out, but you may be helping them by getting it out of their way and their mind. Help them move on and get back to doing things.
Besides the one neighborhood - the scrap has not changed much from the hurricane. You will have good days and bad days. We have just had a nice stretch of better days. Now that one neighborhood basically is like double dipping each day because you can get basically a full load in an hour. That will not last long though.
Go back to the neighborhood and offer to scrap their items for them. They would appreciate your generosity. They could probably use the money as well. What a blessing you would be for them.
Greetings Nacho stuff. This was a great adventure. Thank you for always sharing &passing knowledge forward. When Jeff sees those batteries 😅🤣😂. I just started watching your channel i think some of the vacuums can be fixed and resold I go searching the streets for vacuums I enjoy fixing them up that dyson you got I could of bought a cord and had it fixed in 5 minutes
It is better you put it in the the scrap yard thene in the landfill . Look as wat you do as a service to the homeowners .in my area the trash company charges 35 to 75 dolers to hall appliances and other large metal pieces off and if there is more thene a pickup load of little stuff it con cost 150 or more.
Hey Matt I was talking to a friend in the uk where I also live and was telling him how bad you felt about removing the things people are throwing out after the aftermath of Ian he said why not suggest to Matt to donate half of the money towards helping out the community's you collect the scrap from to help towards food water ect If It could help them and ease the pain of you removing the stuff off the curb side
That is such a sad situation for all. I wouldn't/couldn't have the heart to make a profit on someone else's loss. It wouldn't feel right unless they asked me for help. That's just my own opinion.

Stainless and cast alone. Go through grab washers put on bottom and dryers and dishwasher on top would be a heavy liad
I’m thinking 🧐 that the lamps should be scrap. However I would keep the brass.
Yes...just like Texas everytime a hurricane pass by
There was a chair under the boxes were you got to excited about a little battery.
