I was not. I don't typically fly between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. You know, when you fly all year. When the holidays come around. You just want to stay home.
WOWOWOWOW!!!! Great views!! Some serious engine buzz there. Seeing Honolulu make me think of Marvel's The Inhumans. I need to find Lockjaw so he can teleport me to one of the beaches in Hawaii. :)
Yes, it's loud, but it does depend on the airport and how much power is used. Takeoffs can be derated where it's not quite as loud. Either way, you'll hear it if you're in front of the engine.
I know we've touched on this before but the load factors on your recent SW inter-island dept must be low as they're take-off rolls are about 3,000ft or less! HA & SW are slugging it out.
I'm not on a plane every week, believe it or not. In fact, I haven't been on one since December 13th, and I don't plan to be one one again until January 25th. I fly solely to get footage for this channel. So when I do fly, I fly a lot. Like I'll fly for 8-10 days in a row, and fly 3-6 segments per day. So, I get all the footage I need for a whole month in 8ish days. I then go home, and spend a lot of time editing and uploading videos, to do it all again.
Great fly! Have you heard Southwest cancelled/delayed 70% of the flight hub in the past few days due to snowstorms across the country and they waived the rebooking fee? I'm in New Jersey and I have about a few hours drive remaining to New York City. Happy New Year!
Yes, they are really having a bad time at the moment. Thankfully, for as much as I fly Southwest, I don't fly between Thanksgiving and New Years Day, so I haven' thad to deal with it.
Awesome video with all these magnificent breathtaking Hawaii views.
I make sure I'm on left side of the aircraft on our trips, usually a united 767-400 and love the view from start of the roll,
Thanks for sharing !!
And thank you for watching! I appreciate it!
awesome camera position,views
Hey Skylite - hope you weren't stuck with Southwest meltdown over the holidays. Thanks for the videos!

I’m flying American 737 800 in about 2.5 weeks from now, and I’m right infront of the engine, how is the buzzsaw IRL? Is it loud
