    Super helpful and well explained. It made a great overview for me to get into some more complex programming with the Gigbar2 Thankyou!

    Thanks Dave, was enough to get me started.
    I can set a scene to have a wash, with any color, but how do I set each light to a different color?

    Thank you so much for making this video I'm in a Pink Floyd tribute band and I own two of these gig bars and a foot C. I gave up on using the foot pedal because I was having the same problems you stated in the beginning of the video I'm going to try all the stuff you mentioned and give it another shot you've given me a reason to do it thank you so much

      took me a weekend of my brain nearly exploding but when I finally figured out the dmx lingo this is an awesome set up, I have a foot c-2, 4 bar and 4 seperate par cans, going to make a video as well, I programmed the auto modes into my chases, used every feature. the biggest thing is watch dmx learning vids first

    Thanks for doing this! Does the UV knob control the speed of the rotation effect on the derby?

    It's been a long while since I've added info to this video ,, but in regards to preparing the pedal to another already programmed scene--even though the display will revert to the current scene if you wait too long to push enter. It will still remember what scene you were intending to go to ,,so push enter and it should switch to the scene you wanted..

    update;;;keep the sound button pushed on the foot c 2 and it will enter sound mode and all your chases will not be sound activated

      hey bud thanks for the vid, like you I am in an 80s band (stuck in the 80s) and the bands sound man, light man, guitarist etc.I have an imitation 4 bar, 4 cheap china pars and the FC-. this vid got me started as I knew nothing about DMX and this helped my "dmx lightbulb" come on and i'm able to custom program the most wicked set up now. be happy to chat you on fb or where ever and get you set up on the 23 channel mode, that will give you complete control over each par, color matching, strobe speed, as well as way more functions on the strobes and laser. the foot c-2 has up to 36 channels, or commands it can program.

      Brian Kendall I wish you would make a vid too. I have the Foot-C2 and two Mini 4 Bar 2.0, two GigBar 2, four Chinese dmx pars, for U’King mini gobo moving heads, two Inno Spot LED, and two Inno Spot Elite gobo. Would like to know how to link them into an integrated show. I also have the Obey 40 and a wifly controller.

    Hi brother how do you get it sound activated or to use with the wireless foot switch or remote control

    • @davidali4953
      @davidali4953  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Chuck,,, I've since sold the lights and the foot c 2 but I believe if you hold the music button down for a few second it will switch over...as far as the wireless foot switch--I had nothing but issues with that thing...sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't . The wireless footswitch is not programmable from what I remember

    Great video, not a lot of simple information out there. Could I use this with, say 6 of the cheap RGBW led par cans instead of the gig bar? I only want simple solid colors, blue, purple, pink, red, and a flashing strobe light that I want to cycle through. I've heard that solid blue won't work with the Foot C2, because the Foot C2 is only 6 channel and blue is (usually) on channel 7 and 8 on the cheap par lights. Does anybody know if this is true? thanks

      If you watch this video and set your DMX channel appropriately on your fixture/light, you should be able to do it - th-cam.com/video/EMk_JjQUjAw/w-d-xo.html

    When I navigate to a channel, I want it to stay where I put it until I'm ready to hit enter and activate it. The fact that this thing will second guess me after a few seconds is a total deal breaker for me. Why can't they just make a damned controller that comes pre-programmed for this thing?

    • @briankendallRyanandBrian
      @briankendallRyanandBrian 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ya I would prefer it just stayed at your upcoming choice so you have more time to get ready. I'm going to experiment more with the chase scenes and see how accurate I can get the auto scene timing to keep pace with each song, then use specialty scenes when needed.

      @davidali4953  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree with you guys..hopefully theyll see that there is a need for controllers used by the members of the band..i wish i could have a guy running lights at every show but that isn’t feasible for most of us

  • @darrenwest1969

    3 ch, 11ch, etc, mean that’s the amount of channels you now have to operate the light.

    • @briankendallRyanandBrian
      @briankendallRyanandBrian 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I dont have a gig bar, but yes 3 channels mean you get red, blue green only. 11 means you'll have access to more functions (strobe) , color mixing etc, 23 would be all the functions that are available in the "auto modes", so the par's should be able to be sound activated, the derby's static etc depending on the scene you program. once the dmx logic makes sense, its easy and awesome. but at first so confusing.

    Seems to much work i use remote works faster easier and sound..peddle switches should be a bit bigger not. Guitar relay or effect peddle ..smh. I use par 56 old for my band look authentic.. ✌ but video much appreciated🎸

      persoanly I like to look of par can light way better, just breakers popping, heavy as hell, no programing etc, I finally made the switch.
