Hey Here's a tip for trailers that uses the push button to slide the tandems, when you release the trailer brakes in the truck, the locking pins on the trailer automatically pops out so you don't have get out and relock the tandems. there's usually a lever in the truck that says "Not For Parking" pull that lever to lock the trailer brakes and pull forward so the pins could pop through the holes.
Glad you’re not in flatbed doing that work sick. Being on the road sick sucks since you can’t truly shut it down. Hope it gets better for it going through the mountains!!! Glad you’re back

You are not kidding when it comes to improvement, many companies could learn a little something from Amazon. Sounds like you got a case of the desert crud, happens out west especially in desert climates...
Did you start with Amazon driving the truck. I've been told that you have to work for them a year before you can drive OTR for them thank you and I'm a new subscriber 😁 be safe out there.
With the air operated tandem slide..all you have to do is push the trl valve in and the pins will ush back out and then drive fwd or back to lock them in.
I used to work for amazon in the yard....even drove their rigs we always tired making things easier for the third party drivers. Which site were you at?

That dry Vegas air may be the reason your feeling sick.. That dry air can mess up your nose, throat and eyes and make you feel like your getting sick if your not use to it.. Either way I hope you feel better soon.

Might be allergies, I live north of San Antonio and the cedar pollen starts in January. Its so bad they call it Cedar fever. The amount of different climates you two run thru it could be very possible. Its horrible to have to drive when you are sick.
That’s what my mom said. It’s been happening when we go to Oregon and I’m starting to believe that it is allergies. Thank you for not assuming that I have COVID19 lol
@@KaylaTaylorTrucking, LOL I honestly didn't even think about Covid. As much time as you two spend in the truck, I recommend getting the numbers from the cabin air filter and the bunk filter. Either try to get extras from Ryder or go pay for them at an auto parts store. They can cross reference the numbers. It would be worth it to change them more often. They are usually pretty easy to change.

I houl for amazon too because my boss got account whit amazon on 20 trucks plus his trucks too and I liket not all how amazon works but is better then nothing and I got my truck since 2014 doing container so next is to houl amazon by my own you girls have thing to buy a truck and make more mony like is you truck is your time you pick up you load and see how much pay from a cuban truck driver
I have a question for van drivers. When she said heavy at only 28k what’s heavy in your division? I’ve only been in flatbed and RGN so I have no sense of what weight you guys can truly haul???
@@Bendigo1 oh ok you can haul almost as much as a standard flatbed that’s pretty cool. I’ve been running RGN for the last 2 months so my loads now are at least 90k. I have lost reality or normal freight
@@lilripstaSSF4 yeah. I pull refers and usually have at least 40k in the box. Only having 28k is like getting a reward :) I used to pull doubles and was usually around 100k gross most of the time.
Being sick on the road suuuuckks, happened to me before plenty of times lol what's the heaviest you ever ran? Anything under 70k lbs feels like featherweight now to me at this point (I'm a car hauler) lol
We used to haul beer when we were with Werner which of course is a full load up to 80,000 pounds. But since then we really haven’t done anything over 40,000. Honestly Amazon is usually less than 10,000 pounds lol even FedEx and UPS aren’t usually more than 20,000 pounds probably. Every time I see a car hauler they are flying past everyone lol

Now as an owner op I governed my truck right at the dealer brand new at 80 because I run to Maine alot lol I thought I saw you guys some time ago at a truck stopdown south but was too shy to say hello for obvious reasons lol but keep an eye out I'm starting a car hauler channel soon for a glimpse of my day to day
@@KaylaTaylorTrucking hopefully that's the goal lol and shy because we don't know each other wasn't sure how awkward it would be, but I would be down to get some insight on some decent truck stops in the south now that I'm going to be running south from Boston way more often the 411 up and down the coast would be very helpful lol especially if you can recommend some decent sized stops that are car hauler friendly, can't just park anywhere being 90ft long fully loaded 😂

Standard dry vans can haul +/-45k refrigerated vans about 44k depending on the truck.
