Betty was very versatile, Eddie Bracken was also versatile and funny but most actors in those days were taught every phase of being an actor.

I really didn't like Betty in Annie Get Your Gun, I think Judy would have done it much better, but I loved her the other movies I've seen her in

Disagree. Betty Hutton was born to play that role. If you see the few clips with Judy you can see she wasn't for this part. Judy was fired from 3 movies. Annie being one of them

@@dpf5939 A shy, vulnerable Annie Oakley? An absurd concept, and it didn't take Judy long to realize she was going to bomb in it. Betty was perfection.

Where that clip ended it went into The Beautiful Blond from Bashful Bend 1949. The woman speaking went into that Betty Grable was a good dancer and had beautiful legs and that's what she was known for. And they put her in a western with long skirts. Betty didn't like Preston the way Betty Hutton thought he was great. Grable could do light comedy but was no Betty Hutton. Preston complained to Zanuck that Grable wasn't giving it her all. It was an OK movie. Grable definately filled the title but I think Hutton would have done a better job. My opinion anyway. I love both Betty's.
