The older I get the more I miss the past. It was rough, it was awesome it was life. It hits deep inside when I see people die and others getting sick and old. Enjoy every moment of your life to the absolute fullest. Learn to love and except people and their difference's. We are here for such a short time. Let love and forgiveness be your guide. Me personally I want to thank The Son of The Most High for having mercy and grace on a most undeserving servant (me). Find your peace and enjoy your days. God bless you all.
It almost brings tears to my eyes such good times,I MEAN I WAS ENJOYING LIFE SO MUCH,SO MUCH FUN. YARD PARTIES SUMMER OF 79. THESE YOUNG GENERATION OF KIDS WILL NEVER HAVE THE FUN/GOOD TIMES LIKE WE HAD. MUSIC WAS OFF CHAIN
Thank you for providing, the music that was part of our lives! Music that made you feel good, fall in love, dance, and brought happiness! No comparison to what s called music these days!! Feel sad and afraid for our youth, with whats called music these days, spewing all negative, violence, hate and nothing but backward mind numbing, noise! The music your playing transports to better times! Love.Peace.Happiness. Keep up the amazing work!💜
1979 GREAT YEAR, GREAT MUSIC, GREAT MEMORIES AND THIS JAM IS PART OF IT ALL. I WAS PUMPIN' THE 12" VERSION LAST NIGHT AND CAME ACROSS THIS DISCO PURRFECTION VERSION THIS MORNING, IT IS NOW IN MY COLLECTION. AWESOME WORK AS USUAL, KEEP IT UP!!!!!
ARE YOU CRAZY ⁉️ For me it's the baseline baby ( SO Damn Fonkey ) ❗️🤩😘🤪😜😁🙃 . You know Mike usta go with Stephanie back in day . So I believe that base from this was possibly the inspiration for the baseline in the breakdown of Billiejean . Justa thought .
One of the best by Stephanie Mills. The synthesizer programming and all male chant 'put your body in it' is one of the best musical hooks I've heard. Thanks for this extended mix. 😊💙👍
If you ask me this song is very cache. love the bass 🔊 😍 and of course this sweet lady who sing this bad ass song to..long live music from the 1970's. For ever!!!😉👍🇵🇷...
What an amazing 45 with 2 🔥🔥🔥🔥 songs! No wonder that when Stephanie made record store appearances when it came out that people went wild! "Put Your Body In It" has been my fave of this 45.
Reggie Lucas and James Mtume did one hell of a job with this whole album of Miss Stephanie Mills. And to know that Tawatha Agee-Mtume, Gwendolyn Guthrie, and Diva Grey assisted with the background voices like the powerhouse queens they are is simply amazing. I honestly think that if you’re just starting to listen to disco, this is one of the first songs you should hear so that way you can learn the most simplest dance - the Bus Stop/Electric Slide. That chugging bass synthesizer helps you to move your joints freely - at least it does with mine - as your feet keep that four-on-the-floor beat pattern. I think that this is one of the most underrated albums of 1979. Sure, the Queen had her “Bad Girls” album out, but when it comes down to it, to hear such a large voice from a small woman (Stephanie Mills is only 4’10” without shoes), 20th Century Fox could have promoted her better. Some people decided to sleep on Stephanie Mills and they were wrong to do so, especially with this dance floor hit!
She is a powerhouse. I was next to her in line for Sophisticated Ladies in the early 80s at the Shubert in LA. She was with Gregory Hines! 😮 She was tiny.. ♥️☦️😊💥😍

ms mills hits on another level….all her songs remind me of driving around in the summer time windows down and all you could hear were her jams filling the air
Great club favorite. Yes. Sensuous sexy music by Stephie Mills. Little girl voice in a big lady. Tight violins and good side vocals. Mini echo often in her voice. Quite a thumper wrapped in disco mystery. We sure put our body (and soul) in this danceable ditty. Thanks, Stephanie and crew. Vive les disco freaks...
The Master DJ DiscoCat nails it once again!! I’ve been requesting via comment for a while now: Mr. DiscCat PLEASE remix the opening bass line of Gwen Guthrie’s. CLOSE TO YOU ! Ya wanna talk about one of the best opening bass lines of that? Remix THAT s***!
The Inferno located in the scenic downtown Easton, Pa is where we bumped and got our groove on to this classic! DJ Charlie presto was the mixologist of the night.....silk scarves and platform shoes were a huge part of the look....If I really think about it, those were some freaky times for sure!
My dancing jam.... this Use to be the jam..and its still groovin..... Stephanie mills is one of a kind....Don't be afraid now, I'm waiting just for youuuuuuuu...
Still loving this JAM in 2023 and beyond
This Brooklyn Queen is one of the greatest singers I've ever heard. Love you Stephanie Mills.❤

It doesn't get any better than this classic jam from 1979
I pick the violins as the most captivating part of this song.
