these cards will corrupt as soon as they go over 8GB they just trick the os by making it think its a 512gb

I knew of the hack, so I had my suspicion right away.
foufoufun0 I knew they don't exist, and the switch can't actual cards that big. (128 is the current biggest, the switch supports 256 at most)

I have a Samsung 512 evo sd card for my switch. Had to get one because too many games in my library.
The funny thing is, real 512GB cards are available now, but that means the fakes can be that much more convincing.

5 years ago I ordered a 8 GB SD micro card from deal extreme, when it arrived and started to use it. It appeared to be a 512MB Micro SD card. and when I realized that, the card became corrupted, absolutely premium quality right there.

Also manufactures advertise a GB as 1000000000 bytes (1000x1000x1000) However there are 1073741824 bytes in gigabyte (1024x1024x1024) these days they call that a gibibyte. So in short. Computers phones and your switch read storage as a gibibyte (the correct way to interpret storage space) manufacturers will advertise as gigabyte. This means if you get a 512gb SD card (when they really come out) your switch will say it has 476.837gb of storage, not 499gb.
Now try explaining the deal with the kajigabytes to the mom buying that iPod Touch for her kid.

it's all right because I have an easy life hack for you: all you need to do is hit the same place of the wall with a hammer, but on the other side. with the right ammount of force you'll be able to undent the wall without any extra costs.
That is the wrong way to do it. Tape a gardening hose to the wall and leave the water running, the shrunken area will absorb the water and expand back to its former state in a couple of days.

You shouldn't buy cheap/unreputable things that have to be reliable, such as storage devices (sd, hdd, ssd, etc) smartphones, laptops, etc. Even then, there's still good brands. Xiaomi is great. So is Huawei. For cheap and good Chinese SD cards, check of Mixza SD cards on AliExpress. This is a legit company.
32GB is about 7 euros, 64GB is 16 euros and 128GB is 33 euros. Remember that these cards are only class 10 and not UHS certified!

The only Ric-James Like I said, Chinese doesn't mean crap. There's reliable stuff, like the brands I mentioned before. I've been using Mixza SD cards for over a year, and my mother has been using a Xiaomi smartphone, which has better build quality for the money than any other brand out there.
Edit: Just like how there's good brands and bad brands in the US or Europe, there's also good and bad brands in China. China has such a huge e-commerce scene that it is only natural that there's more crap. That doesn't mean there aren't any reliable and good things.
Wish does sell a fake GoPro with built in rear view screen for $40 that actually works. My Aunt got one and I tested it out. So the site is basically hit or miss. Best to do the research like here

shit you not they painted xc on a sticker and used a 4gb with the system storage falsely modified. to the point where you can visibly see its 4gb after removin a sticker.
just so you know, 1gb sd cards are actually 4. all 1gb cards can be modified in the same way & it will actually work up to 4. go any further though and its just for looks.
