I upgraded from an IPhone 7 Plus to an iPhone 14 Plus recently. Although it is undeniably a huge upgrade, I can still confidently say that the iPhone 7 Plus is a completely decent and usable phone in 2024. The speed and camera should still be pretty good for a casual user.
Yeah it’s amazing how apple makes these devices that last 7+ years with security updates and app support. I love using my old iPhones occasionally for light social media use and TH-cam
i have an iphone 8 that one also quite works very well, and i think that all iphones starting from iphone 7 to 15 are still snappy and smooth enough to run apps.cause honestly they're not that bad y'know
Yeah. I agree , it’s amazing how iOS 15 is still running somewhat smoothly still in 2024 in terms of app support, iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 currently on iOS 15 and they work fine but they are getting close to the end in terms of app’s supporting them. IPhone 8 is on iOS 16 and it’s very fast so these phones if you can get them for cheap make great back up devices
Im using an iPhone 7 Plus as of now. Pretty decent phone but I’m a heavy user so yh I’m planning on upgrading to the 16 Pro Max when it comes out. Still surprised this phone’s still holding up after all these years ❤
Yeah I’m amazed at how long iPhone 6s and phone later are still going strong in terms of app support! You could literally still use an iPhone 6s and the battery life may be bad but you can still do a lot on that phone and the 7 ,7+, 8, etc. I think the iPhone 6s can record in 4K aswell!
i just found an extremely good deal with a iphone xs for 35$ only issue it got is a little scrath on the back but its being delivered im curious how well it still keeps up could imagine it as a main phone too but its defintely a go for if your able to find cheap
$35 for an IPhone XS??? That’s incredible, they are going for like $150-200 and they are super solid phones . They currently run the latest iOS version and I believe they also will get iOS 18. Let me know how everything works out for you and I definitely will try to pick up one of the iPhone X series sometime soon to make a video!
it was originally dad's phone, he got it on a contract at a carrier, in total it costed him 1300 euros, mum had issues with her 5s, we factory reset it and it worked fine so we sold it and she got dad's 7 plus, dad got Samsung Galaxy S9+ which ran flawlessly up until a week ago because the battery is failing, while the 7 plus was great up until idk 1 year ago, last year in november or december battery health was 65% (original battery phone never opened), we ordered a new one and cousin replaced it for us, worked fine and about a month ago it started bugging and shutting down, we got mum a new iphone 13 green 128gb while i got the 7 plus, but when i got it the display got lifted out because top left part of the battery got slightly punctured and that side became a spicy pillow, so I shut the thing down and I will one day get a new battery because this phone still runs great
My dad bought it brand new for €1300 back in the day, gave it to mum and now I have it, it is nice but do not be suprised if battery is meh and app support is shrinking
I have mine for secondary phone. It suddenly died for a few months so I took it to the repair shop and they said the battery is dead so bought a battery today and installed myself and now it’s turning on and holds up pretty good but it’s pretty slow for my liking compared to my Xs Max
Yeah considering the iPhone 7 Plus ended it’s software updates on iOS 15, it is noticeably slower than devices running iOS 16and above but when you consider how old the iPhone 7 Plus is it’s still pretty fast in my opinion. It’s a very solid back up device or even a main Phone if your on a budget ,and if you get one with a good battery or replace the old one it will work great. I sold my iPhone 7 Plus but i did enjoy making this video, and talking about it. My channel was initially made with iPhone 6s and iPhone 7plus so it’s nice to go back and give these phones the respect and credit they deserve for being great devices.
Oooh that’s sucks but good to note , I recently sold this phone but it sure was nice to have and to make this video . I got some iPhone 7 coming soon so I’ll make another video on that phone soon!
I agree , if you’re gonna spend $100 you might aswell throw in an extra $50 and get iPhone SE second generation cuz it’s currently on the latest iOS version 17 so imo iPhone SE is like the best budget phone atm. Phones such as iPhone 6,7,8 are great back up devices if you kept yours or can find them for super cheap
@@Allthingslife30 It’s also worth noting the iPhone SE second generation will get iOS and security updates for a few years to come while the older iPhones are on their final year of security updates. I wish the iPhone 6/6s/7 phones were like $50-80 AUD (around $30-65 USD) because then they would be bargains and great first phones.
I think so, the 7plus is still going strong and almost all apps are still supported on iOS 15. So let’s just keep going and hope that ios 15 last a very long time in terms of app support!
Nice! I believe iPhone X will get iOS 18 so the phone will be supported for years to come. It’s a great affordable phone atm and I want to get my hands on one to make a video cuz I’ve never owned any of the X series iPhones
I don’t think it’s the same considering iPhone 3GS is stuck on iOS 6 and iPhone 7 Plus is stuck on iOS 15, and a lot of apps are still supporting iOS 15 devices so you can still use it but as for the 3GS it’s like completely useless nowadays.

Should i purchase 7 plus this year
And only display change
If you can get it’s for cheap or your on an extreme budget, I’d recommend getting the 11 or se 2020
i have an iphone 8 that one also quite works very well, and i think that all iphones starting from iphone 7 to 15 are still snappy and smooth enough to run apps.cause honestly they're not that bad y'know

i got my mums 7 plus 128gb jet black 7 days ago
Very nice! How much did you pay, and how is the phone holding up??

I would like to know as well. Planning to get one too

I bought one for 1 month usage. It's smooth so far, but my apple watch didnt pair with it "ios 15 not supported" 😢

I am still using a 7 plus is still great to use

Can we use I phone 7 plus in 2025 without any errors 😢.
I think so, the 7plus is still going strong and almost all apps are still supported on iOS 15. So let’s just keep going and hope that ios 15 last a very long time in terms of app support!
I'm getting an iPhone x i liked and subbed
Nice! I believe iPhone X will get iOS 18 so the phone will be supported for years to come. It’s a great affordable phone atm and I want to get my hands on one to make a video cuz I’ve never owned any of the X series iPhones
Me who used android redmi note 10 pro 😢
How would you compare the two?
????@@Allthingslife30
@@Allthingslife30I mean I wish I have an ios too
Much better than iphone 7 ,,,its amoled has bigger display and battery...
imagine using an iphone 3gs in 2016. that is what using this phone in 2024 would feel like 💀💀
