This drama was truthfully beautiful despite the low budget. I loved the plot and cinematography. I recommend, I didn’t think I would like it at first when I began watching it but it truthfully surprised me.

I know I'm super late on this, but I'm pretty similar; where I try to avoid watching C-Dramas with Tragedies (which is nearly all of them imo haha) but I'd definitely watch this if you can. It has a very good ending in my opinion. Gave me perspective into my own life, which I am grateful for.
It amazes me how talented editors are. Many of the dramas I watched (mainly Chinese dramas) and loved (including Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) were only on my radar due to fan mvs created by editors.
I like the low budget production, you can feel the "ancient-ness" or rawness that goes well with the story and the character's acting. If that makes sense. 😅 To me, it feels elegant.

I actually love how simple they kept it due to low budget. zhang ya qin’s acting was good it made me feel. I agree with the review on the ML 😂 the story is very unique and i loved it. The ending…. not a huge fan but I definitely became a huge fan or the FL. She did really hold the drama together ❤️ P.S. For the ML, he was just playing assistant to Dilraba in Prosecution elite and now he's the lead in a drama. I will wait for the drama to finish airing and binge it.

The reverse time travel also is a thing from British series Doctor Who))) Although, the genres are absolutely different and the stories don't match in anything else, except the concept of time-travel itself)
I watched this film last night. I do agree with your assessment of the film. But your are especially right in the lead female. I fell in love with her. The reverse travel is my favorite thing. I'm a retired US Air Force historian loving the whole idea of a research/writer going back in time. I for one loved the discovery of her tomb and the impact it had on his assessment of the female lead. Awesome. BTW I subscribed. I've been disabled for the last 3 years and have enjoyed these movies on TH-cam.
I just finished watching this drama a few days ago and i loved it. It's very short, the story was very simple, everything progressed fast, and the love story was beautiful. I love everything about it....even though the ending still broke my heart. 💕
This story is 85% similar to a Japanese drama called "My Tomorrow Your Yesterday" . The only differerence is that the story takes place in modern time.

The story is very similar to the Japanese movie “ My tomorrow, your yesterday.” But it takes place in modern day. Probably one of the best Japanese romance movie I’ve seen and love. The way that the movie was filmed made it feel like there was no plot hole and the whole time thing actually works? At least for me it made sense.
maybe the author was inspired by that movie and then made the story. but that is still excellent. if I learn that Japanese movie, i will make nothing. and the two stories is very different, maybe you can watch both and compare.
The reverse timeline time travelling setting reminds me of the 11th Doctor and River Song. Not a new idea but refreshing to see in C-dramas. I wonder if this will give rise to a new wave of C-writers.
It seems the short/underground cdramaworld got some interesting writers/PDs over there and they got the passion and "hunger" to do something good while facing challenges especially on ressources.

Am I the only one who think about Guardian ( the TV show) with the time reverse thing ? X) First time Zhao Yulan meet Shen Wei in modern era he doesn't know him, and when Shen Wei meet Zhao Yulan the first time in Ancient Time he (shen wei) doesn't know him ^^
The most interesting C-drama among the recent releases. The female lead is the one who made this drama works as she really brought the character to live. Nothing much to say about the male lead as he also gave a below par performance in another recent drama : Prosecution Elite. It’s a cheap production drama and the scripting is very much like those short web drama but overall it’s still looks good on screen. I kinda hoping for a happy ending as the motivation for the male lead in time leaping is to change the tragic ending.

To me, it's the most interesting drama I've watched for a long time cause it's different and given in an unusual and original way.
Actually it's not original. There is a Japanese movie "My Yesterday is Your Tomorrow". The theme is same.

ML is not a strong actor. I agree. He suffers the slightly-opened-mouthed expression the like of Dilreba suffers too. It is distracting.
