Oh I’m watching the ride throughs on day one! It looks like Universal is continuing to outdo themselves. What was the latest rumor for the Orlando version? Still holding out for Epic Universe or possibly heading back to KidZone?
When I saw the footage of the outdoor area of the land I almost thought it was still all CG! I feel blown away by how well they translated the video games into the real world. Hats off to all the people who worked on this project the last several years, they did an incredible job!
An entire park dedicated to Nintendo! * the equivalent of Main Street USA would be dedicated to the original NES, with shops dedicated to: the original Super Mario Bros., SMB3, SMB2 (the international version), and Dr. Mario; Duck Hunt; Tetris; the Legend of Zelda and Zelda II -- The Adventure of Link; Excitebike; and Golf (with room for expansion). * the biggest land will be themed to Mario (further subdivided into sections dedicated to the main Super Mario theme, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario Sports) * a Pokemon land * at the resort would be a facility similar to ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex, themed to Wii Sports and Wii Fit * a Legend of Zelda land * an Animal Crossing land * the centerpiece would be themed to Super Smash Bros., with a rotating schedule of nightly battles * a Donkey Kong land * a Kirby land * a game show based on Brain Age * a world class kennel for guest pets, themed to Nintendogs
At this point I just want SNW to go into KidZone instead of having to wait a decade for it to open at Epic Universe. Just build the Pokemon stuff at Epic Universe if it opens.
I wish they would make a kingdom hearts thing to try to compete with super Mario world. Maybe in Tokyo Disney that could actually happen. Idk about the states since Kingdom Hearts is only mildly popular here, but it would be cool
Unfortunately Kingdom Hearts just doesn't have a big enough fan base to warrant having its own extension at Disney theme parks. Especially since development costs would probably reach into the hundreds of millions of dollars. I am with you 100% on the idea though. Imagine if they did make a KH theme extension of Disney World. Suspended gummi ship rides, rumble racing go karts, and being able to walk around traverse town as it's food court/shopping hub.
Here's something I'm thinking. Those who completed Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe), there's a "secret cup to unlock" called the Universal Cup! Courses based on the theme parks and attractions. Win the Cup and win the Universal Trophy! Can't wait for it to come at Universal Studios Hollywood
@Dreyness well life sucks for everyone and that's the choice Universal made. As for CA, we plan on not just pretending the virus doesn't exist and letting it roam free. Not taking any precautions is probably not a great idea...
Well covid might not be over for a long time . The vaccine doesnt prevent you from getting the virus it just helps your body fight it if you do get it like the flu shot .So it might be some time before they lift travel restrictions. I would love to see this amusement park / attraction as well .
Don’t hold your breath: While Universal hasn’t confirmed it, what was planned for Epic Universe is now canned due to most of the Universal Creative team involved on the park was laid off. You can’t build a theme park/attraction when the creative people behind it don’t work at the park.

Few things I noticed just now. Look at the lights on the steering wheel. They said those were fully interactive...who wants to bet that they’ll light up a color based on your wrist band model?

Wow, absolutely beautiful... the craftsmanship on the land is so detailed and alive. Of course I can’t wait to see the rides operate, but if it’s anywhere close to how good the exteriors look it should be amazing. Definitely worried about spacing though, it looks like crowds could make this feel cramped even in a non pandemic.
From what I've been seeing, the park looks incredible so far! Unfortunately, I don't have the money to go to Japan, so I'm gonna have to wait until the park opens in America.

Sad about them resuing some super old renders in the art of the queue and the promotional material instead of creating totally new ones for the park, but other than that the queue looks amazing.

Although it looks nearly perfect, it also looks really small..... I’m curious to see how the United states parks develop and hopefully make the area larger due to how people feel about close contact to others after covid.

Should have an actual Mario Kart race just like the game without any restrictions or limitations, like a go kart race on a real race track that would be more for older kids and adults

@@Emplordxiii Well there is no doubt that Universal will eventually put that land to use. The Kirkman Road Extension has been worked on.

5 minutes for an attraction is pretty long. Average attractions are only 2-2,5 minutes long, so you should he happy that it’s 5 minutes
