CINEMATIC TOKYO - 4K short film 2024 with the FUJIFILM XT4, 35mm F1.4 and 16-80 F4 - travel VLOG

Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Joshua. I am a Singaporean lofi producer, guitarist and worship musician. I'm mainly a Fujifilm shooter and have been into photography for awhile. I decided recently to try my hand at really pushing the XT4 to its limits and make a cinematic short film (inspired by ‪@teemu.mp4‬ , ‪@cinemabryce‬ ‪@JasonZhao‬ ) with an "every frame a picture" kind of mindset. I had the time recently to take a short solo trip to Tokyo for a week and really get lost in the city, and this was the perfect chance. It was just me, a close friend, my XT4 mounted on a capture clip, and a 10L bellroy bag (‪@snapsbyfox‬ thanks for the recommend!)
My philosophy in shooting and editing is all about capturing the vibe and mood of where I'm at, and my intention in putting together the short film is to allow the viewer to experience the same way that my spirit was moved as I'm there and in a particular headspace. Strangely, I always start with choosing the music first when editing !

Beautiful man!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️…. I’m also going to buy fuji xt4 in a month or so …. But I’m not sure if I should go for 18-55mm or the 16-80 lens …. Can you please help me on this?!😁 …. I also want to do videography with it mainly

Hey shiv! Thanks so much for the nice comments ! From what I’ve read both are great lenses that have image stabilisation. Nonetheless the XT4 already has IBIS so it shouldn’t matter too much. I am very happy with my 16-80 for video! The only advantage the 18-55 would have is it has a faster aperture. Therefore it may be better for low light. I find the 16-80 still performs well at dusk and with some steady hands
