Good video, I have also bought a set for my 2018 Roadglide. I agree with everything you said, however, anyone who decides to run these lowers will get a engine temperture increase. My bike has the powervision tuner and after multiple tests I have found out that when I run the lowers, even with the vents opened up, my engine tempertures increased between 25 and 30 degrees. Because of that I only run them on my bike in the winter.
I have run mine spring, summer and fall here in Michigan and haven't had any running hot or overheating issues. Even in summer when it's 90+ degrees and I'm riding for 3 hours straight, I'm comfortable and the bike runs good by just opening the vents. Thanks for your comment.
I’ve been considering adding lower fairings to my 2012 Roadglide for a while now. The concern is that I’m a big guy (6-5) and worry about my leg room. I also have my floorboards moved a bit forward along with my heel-to-toe shifter.
Visit your local HOG chapter and see who has lowers on their bike and ask to sit on their bike. Your local Dealership should be able to help you in the same way. Good luck... I love my lowers.
These are a waste of money. They increase engine temp. You just purchased a high dollar air cooled bike, now you just blocked much needed air flow by installing these. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!
I just did a 4 day 1,500 mile trip in 90 degree Temps each day and had no problems. With the vents open, the motor gets plenty of air. You're entitled to your opinion. I like the lowers and the added comfort is amazing. The bike is fine
They look good and very practical , I did watch your install previously, Thanks Todd.
Great video! I have the wedge fairing so I’ll have to see if they’ll still fit since the fairing is frame mounted and attaches to the engine guard.

If I didn’t have chop crash bars I’d add these asap. Maybe one day I’ll swap the crash bars and add these.
I have a HD engine guard for sale for $125 plus $40 shipping anywhere in the continental USA
