Watercolour Essentials 2: Colour Mixing and Painting a Pattern of Simple Shapes

The second in a series of watercolour basics for beginners, this video is all about mixing colours. I show you how to mix any colour you can think of from only three paints. I start by painting a colour wheel and then we make a page of simple shapes in many different colours. Each video in this series begins with some technical chat about watercolour painting, followed by a simple and fun pattern to paint.
The videos in this series will take you through everything from supplies, to colour mixing and getting different effects to slightly more advanced techniques like negative painting and masking.

When you pick up the palette it goes out of focus and I get all nauseous. 😉
I love this idea how to play with pattern and colour mixing. I keep wanting you to draw a triangle or a Star of David, though!
