    I recorded this video going on 24 years ago of NS Train 40T with 100 cars in tow from Eldred to Emporium. This is how i remember railroads before PSR. I am not a fan of PSR in any form at all whether on a Class One railroad or shortline or regional railroad, 15,000 to 18,000 feet trains are just not safe the way i look at it. This is my opinion and i am sure others feel the same way. Hope everyone enjoys the video!

    I also enjoy the videos you post i appreciate the hard work you put into these! 👍 As a shortline locomotive railroad engineer and a railfan it is sad to see what is going on the WNY&P Railroad, i have a video posted on my TH-cam channel of a NS Southbound train i chased over 20 years ago from Eldred to Emporium, two locomotives up front and two on the tail end pushing. Too bad the owner of the Rock Island Rail doesn't own this railroad, instead of downsizing the railroad, the railroad would be growing! Just my thoughts and opinion, thanks again for the videos you post i enjoy watching them in Texas where i live!

      Thank you for watching! Im glad you enjoyed the video, we love having comments like yours! I would love to see the video of that NS train, would you mind putting a link so we can watch it? We also would love to see this railroad grow, but as per usual the railroad industry up there is only going to get smaller. Once again, thank you for watching!

    It literally seems like yesterday WNYP received those GE’s. Also, I don’t really like the decisions that new CEO is making, sounds like he’s breaking something that isn’t broke, but I’m just a railfan that can’t do anything so

      Rumor has it they keep stalling out on the Keating Summit Grade and with them abandoning from Port Allegany to Driftwood they don’t need them because the Keating Summit Grade is in between those two locations. They are going back to Progress Rail

    • @blueridgerails
      @blueridgerails  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Railfan814 Right, presumably the grade isnt profitable anymore for just the one customer. Im going back up in June to document the line from Emporium to Driftwood in case they decide to rip it out. We purchsed some conrail slides from Driftwood aswell, i will post them on my community tab if you would like.

      @@blueridgerails Awesome! My house is right there by Milepost 115 just before the grade. It’s sad how such a busy line back in the 90s is becoming a big piece of junk rail at a rapid speed. A engineer for the railroad told me another company bought the yard in Emporium so I don’t know if they are ripping out that track or not.

      @@blueridgerails How could they rip that track out though? They don't even own it. It's all on lease from Norfolk Southern. (I'm actually legitimately wondering if it's possible or not?)
