What a great video, sir yeah I just lost my black lab of a mini mini years. It’s sad but when they get old now it’s their time the only thing I don’t like about building airplanes like jet airplanes is all of the decals, many decals have a great new year And will see you on the next video
Good to see you popping out a video D. Losing our pets is the worst thing about having them, but, it's worth it. Losing our friends is too. Age comes for use all, sooner or later. Happy Holidays dude ;P
Hey buddy, always learn something from your videos about tanks. Now i got the itch to build a tank. But alas the model railroad keeps me busy. Sorry to hear about Chris Chapman, i always enjoyed his coffee time with Chris videos. I will try to get a video out on the layout, maybe get back into the youtube community again. Happy New Year man, keep in touch.
Sorry to hear about your dog Dustin, my condolences 😢 It's always hard to lose a pet So sad about Chris Chapman too, it's been a rough year 🙏 I've seen a lot of people getting those airbrushes, curious what you think about them, hope you have a Happy New Year buddy 🎉
The Maus Panzerkampfwagen VIII had almost finished its trials in May 1945 and the Allies found several Maus hulls under construction when they liberated the factory. I reckon by late July 45 we would've seen them trundling out of the factory had the war not concluded. At 188 tons nothing could have stopped it, but Waffen Minister Albert Speer didn't like it, he was concerned that super-massive tanks would just become targets for bombers, especially Typhoons. I think he would've been right, which is probably why the P1000 Rat never left the drawing board, although the turret for it was actually built!
Agreed, I also think it would be challenging trying to depend on the engines and transmissions of that time. Another fault is their weight being over max capacity for most bridges, so I assume they'd be more sedentary vs mobile. Fascinating stuff! Thanks for the additional info on Maus Tanks!
@@HinterlandCustoms What you said about bridge negotiation is right, I believe the Maus was fitted with a snorkel, it could go underwater as little bridges would not support its weight.
@TheGeezzer Ah very cool, I didn't know that! I've studied and built on a few KV-2's, I can't imagine being in that thing when it plummets through a bridge and goes upside down in the creek.
@@HinterlandCustoms Love the KV chassis, very versatile and incredibly tough. The KV-1 although slow and cumbersome was almost impregnable, even the heavyweight tracks couldn't be smashed! Only German 88's could knock it out!
@TheGeezzer Yes! It doesn't get enough credit in terms of effectiveness. I like the simplicity of it compared to German armor. Check out my vids if you want, I have Kv-8 Flamethrower built, Kv-2, kv-2 prototype, then a KV-1 for my Kursk diorama.
Happy New Year Dustin! Here's to a better year for all indeed! My condolences about your dog's passing. What is the new pup's name and is she a black Lab also?
Hey JS! Thanks man, she is missed. New pup is Reba, she is a lab/border collie/terrier looking mix. She is black with white socks, white on her chest and end of tail. Mutt! She's a rescue.
Nice update buddy!! Glad to see you're at the bench again man. Im looking forward to see how those new airbrushes work out for ya! Happy Newyears!
