The Siam Scape is the mix-used bldg. and part of Chulalongkorn University outer Campus. On the high floors, there are lecture halls and some learning centers.
Go to Chinatown at night. There's a great street food restaurant that serves fish (ask around for the one that is famous - the fish was wrapped in foil and stuffed with some kind of herb). So delicious. There are also some good vendors selling desserts in the same area as that restaurant.
jason i know why i enjoy your videos now. you speak intuitively whatever is on your mind like thought bubbles. no filter at all so its like whatever thoughts that u had at that time hahaha
You make interesting videos, enjoy watching them. Big thanks my friend for sharing your wonderful presentation, stay safe and let's stay connected 🙏🙏👍👌😊💚
I recommend that you come to Siam Square in the evening because in the evening Siam Square will be Walking Street, which will close the street and allow people to walk and have a band playing music.
I recommend you to visit the southern part of Thailand where there is a sea. There are beautiful islands such as Koh Samui, Koh Phangan in Surat Thani Province, Krabi, Phuket, there are many islands.
Thai people don’t dare to walk in the sun for a long time because they are afraid of dark skin. But no matter how much a white person like you is exposed to the sun, it's not dark, just a pinkish-colored skin. Anyway you should also be careful about blemishes. You don't seem to have any plans before going anywhere. It gives viewers another kind of emotion that they see something different from other TH-camrs who will study a particular place before going to shoot the video.
The little shrine near the big dogs is not a shrine. It's a ghost house. The idea is that you build that in front of your building and the ghost will prefer to live there rather than inside the building :) ... you will see them all over in all sizes. The bigger they are, the more prestigious (and expensive) they are.
Thailand has the largest integrated overseas Chinese community, yet probably one of the least “Chinese” among them all. You can easily hear 3rd-4th generation people describing themselves as “Thai” first or they’d say “Thai-Chinese” when they’re specifically asked about it. It’s a pretty interesting topic of discussion within Chinese diaspora when it comes to this kind of topic of “not so chinese” (compared to other x-chinese communities).
In history of fearing of communist Gen.Porpiboon did not allow chinese culture to grow in Thailand. Chinese schools were banned that why the next gen cannot speak chinese.
As a thai person, i recomended to go jas green village in klong sam wa, bangkok There is also a temple fair, there is a Ferris wheel, there is a carousel, there is a bumper car, there is something to eat, and there is also a delicious restaurant. And thank you for visit thailand 🇹🇭
Building that you called Interesting Building it's call SIAMSCAPE. also on 10th floor there's skyscapper area which allow anyone can doing some sightseeing nice view around Bangkok.
I was born in this Chinatown. Not many people there. And the shops there started to be taken by new Chinese from China. Hope my fellow Thai-Chinese still own there fully or it won't be the place that Thai can be proud of.
awww you was so close to my old house (26.44 around MRT Wat Mungkorn .... if that day i stayed at my old house ... i wish i can pop up in your clip just say 'Hello Jason i'm your big fan nice to meet ya welcome to China Town mate ! by the way you should visit Chinatown in the evenning or night time you won't have to eat GUGU chicken like this. 🤭
For some Thai food such as papaya salad, shrimp salad, tom sab, green curry, panaeng chicken, and tom kha chicken, if you are looking for this type of curry, we recommend finding it at a roadside shop, it will taste much better than the one in the mall. But for Thai people with good status, they tend to eat at good restaurants. That is the preference of each person.
Thank you for comparing Bangkok with London. I think Bangkok is nothing compared to London. LoL Thank you for coming back to Thailand again. I really like every clip you present. I hope you enjoy your trip.
I disagree. During the past 10 years or so, Bangkok has become a very good cosmopolitan city. I don't think Bangkok is that far behind London. In fact, I would say that Bangkok is better than London on a few things such as culinary and shopping.
Yup, BKK is no longer a 3rd world city. Thailand is officially listed as 2nd world country. It reminds me of HK was 30 yrs ago. Many wealthy, wealthy people call Thailand home. The avg salary in BKK is 88,000 baht or $2,550 USD/month. Top income class earns min. 225k baht and up or $6,500 - $17,500 USD/month. This is better than many people in the West but with much larger purchasing power than US.
I tried to search thai salary and it surprisingly shows similar results to what you described! I believe that those data come from total thai gdp divided by populations. it doesn't reflect the reality because of the inequality of income is extremely severe. I'll tell you the truth, 50% of thai people earn less than 600$ per month.
Jason can't end the week without another great walking tour of amazing Bangkok...hard to believe while shopping malls in the U.S. are shuttering Bangkok with its many shopping centers are increasing, with 15 different malls within walking distance of each other. Another surprising fact there are at least 5000 different 7-11's in Bangkok Metro area..!! Be careful with these motorbike tours these drivers can be a little risky. Finally ended the video with the now obligatory Pina Colada Cheers brother...
22:00 i would also recommend using the MRT system to Chinatown if you want (MRT Wat Mangkon Station, exit 1.) ( fun fact : Wat Mangkon (Chinatown) is one of the 4 most beautiful MRT Stations, the others being Itsaraphap (Wat Arun), Sanam Chai (Grand Palace) and Sam Yot (Little India) ) 9:52 it is also known as "Mahboonkrong" ( fun fact : when the mbk was first opened in 1985, it was the biggest mall in asia ) 40:00 thats the Dusit Central Park Complex under construction, it was once the famous Dusit Thani hotel but was later demolished in 2019 you also can see that every time youre in a building, or the metro, its cold the reason why its cold is because bangkok is very hot and thai people likes cold weather than hot weather
I love 11:55 that you complain about TUMI. It's hilarious because I heard it for the second time in your video. I went to the mall and found a TUMI store. I had to walk to see the price and check the product Hahaha

Quite funny your imitation of Liverpool's way of speaking, you reminded me of the way of speaking of the Beatles in their first years as a band.
The Chinatown food scene mostly comes alive around sunset! and is closed every Monday
