The HARDEST Car Negotiation I've EVER Closed?!? | Day in the Life of a LUXURY Car Dealer

- In today's video we did a lot of dealership activities like buying and selling cars, but the real highlight was buying two cybertrucks in the blink of an eye. Most of you know we're very big on Cybertrucks at J&S Autohaus, and this goes to show that despite the drop in value, we're still committed to bringing them in.

I’ve worked in a lot of dealership bro is just openly showing you what most dealership don’t.
Love the videos 🫡
George has massive balls to show everything that happens behind a dealership
Straight d riding
Did yall complain to keep it real ? Lol
Even tho car salesmen are meant to make money off consumers, he is likable, better than some other arabs or Dominicans ive dealt with
@@TigroShiro agree
@@TigroShiro what race is he?
That Phone call was insane 😂😂 such a good one
I feel like that guy was turned on by. George it’s weird
Nothing like having a Boston market right next to your dealership. After a long process of filling out paperwork you can go right over there and grab a bite to eat in your new luxury car not too shabby.
Fr lol
Late to the party on this one but, seriously? Boston Markets still exist??? Thought they died out and went belly up like a decade plus ago. Lol but yeah, let's get some over microwaved junk food to spill in the new whip. LFG!
Stop it George... When someone says they feel bad they don't feel bad. 😂😂😂
Every car dealer does it. Literally all of them. I give George credit for posting this when most people wouldn't because of the optics
I should go into this specific situation more in detail. When you list an inventory in a national online vehicle exchange there are many negatives and positives to doing so. When listing cars on OVE there are also penalties when canceling a deal like I did in this video which is $500.00 which I paid. Other drawbacks are waiting a week to get payment and the vehicle sitting on your waiting for buyer to pick it up. When listing in a vehicle exchange you have limited communication with the buyer.
I would keep that bread for sure, literally signed a non refundable deposit 😂
I've been binge watching this channel and I love how u guys treat everyone the same. U treat the millionaires and the regular joes the same. Much respect to u guys 💯
Me too, I love his negotiation and managerial personality
People should pay to watch this. Great job George keep it authentic 🇨🇾 🇱🇧
Selling a car that's "already sold" is a snake move.
clearly it wasn't already sold
In business to make money not friends
Bare with me as I rant a little on this topic. This is a total classless move. If we talk, either in person or on the phone, discuss numbers and I say I'll take it, and then you turn around and sell it to the next dude that walks in (likely, while I'm en route) which being an out of state buyer is not unheard of these days with every car selling website imaginable willing to ship cars literally anywhere. This is classless and means you're not a man of your word and likely an all around scuz bag of a human being. If the shoe was on the other foot and the buyer backs out prior to signing paperwork, that's just business, frankly if you're that confident the car will sell quickly or isn't selling as fast as you'd prefer, then shake it off, remember you're so confident the car will sell. What does it matter if the customer backs out on you, you can still confidently sell it in less than 30 days without an excessive amount of price adjustments to entice people to buy faster. An old industry saying, buyers are liars and with all that said I understand it's first come first serve on pre-owned inventory but if we literally agree on numbers and I tell you I'm on my way and then you sell it to someone else after you set the expectation in the buyers mind that they were coming to get the car. Most often times, dealers won't inform a customer a car they're interested in is in process of being sold. It's pretty crazy but something around 70% (or there bouts, I can't recall exactly) of new or used car deals end up being for a different car than originally inquired (ie: different trim level, specs, brand, model it literally doesn't matter). Dealer mentality is we'll just flip the customer to alternatives that they likely already researched and looked at but weren't thrilled about it and then immediately pressured to buy an X $ amount vehicle that they didn't intend on even looking at or consider buying in the first place. Oh and by the way even with a 750 credit score in today's market, a sizable percentage of vehicle cost as down payment if you're financing to secure loan or a lower interest rate (ideally as much and as little as possible) interest rates on used car loans are still going to push anywhere from roughly 6-10%, despite however good you think your credit is. Dealers make a small percentage getting you to finance as much as possible as incentives from banks to bring them business and find them people to get into loads of debt for a depreciating asset. I would literally just go old school and disparage their name and business as described in detail just to make people have a second thought in their head other than "oooooh it's shiny and goes vrooom vrooom" and then proceed to sign your life away on a 72 or 84 month loan because despite your great credit you're more concerned about monthly payment and want it to be in some sweet spot.
But TL:DR don't be convinced to buy something expensive such as a vehicle when you're not pre approved by your bank and you have approval confirmation code in hand. People see shiny new toys and just thoughtlessly commit and sign on the dotted line for a $600+/month car payment for what they don't/can't compute in their brain as a 6 or even 7 year car loan term. Pains me to see it happen.
@@ZachWeidenhammer if that's your mentality you're 100% entitled to have that opinion but keep in mind, you'll never see that customer again. You get one shot at winning over a customer and the deal can literally fall apart in seconds. Sure you might win over some customers but more likely than not, you're losing out on service/maintenance and repair costs from repeat customer business. How can you grow your business if you just want to make a quick buck and the customer leaves with or without the car and their experience is not ideal. It's easy to sit there and say that but in reality you'd go belly up in less than 6 months.
@@RyanLiebman 100% correct, after 2 years that fuzzy warm feeling has worn off and you end up hating the car because of insane monthly payments and end up selling it for a huge loss, as for asking for more money on the deal, well that just tells you all you need to know about who you are buying a car from.
So basically, you just sold the cybertruck from underneath the other guy. What a shady practice. then you say you don't want to give a deposit back for a customer.Because he changed his mind. i don't care what form he signed. But if he is not taking possession of the car he should refund his deposit again more shady practices. This episode should be called a confession of shady practices. I will never buy a car from you guys. no wonder you have a shitty reputation.
you hit the nail on the head. Definately refund if not taking the car. And regarding Dubai guy he basically displayed lack of integrity. A deal is a deal no matter the outcome.
😂😂😂😂
Facts! Shady as they come George! Should we be surprised coming from a dealer?!
they're brown its in the culture
20% restocking fee
Give the refund back. I think you could benefit a lot by excelling your customer service. I called in on an S-Class and it sounded like a zoo in the background. I ended up paying more from a different dealership.
I'll keep that in mind
Don’t say your going to sign the deposit and then say you want it back keep it
First of all, if you sign something then the deal is done especially if its non refundable. Why would they have bad customer service if it's literally in the fine print "Non refundable"...... I bet you didn't even go to another dealership all talk no evidence.
A deal is a deal too bad
@@georgejsaliba U are the proverbial used car salesman, lil´buddy...keep up the shady work.
“How do you sell your cars?” George thinking “idgaf about this cybertruck I’m just tryna make a quick 4-5k flip” Meanwhile there’s an SVJ in the showroom. Learn there’s levels to this game buddy
Such a good “building salesman” he’s $11K upside down on a truck lmao
thats not bad some people are 100k flipped on those things lol
"You're a great salesman-thanks for showing this! Honestly, I would've cut him off as soon as he opened his mouth. You could tell he wasn’t the type to take seriously. Definitely not a top-tier real estate agent-more like a junior at a struggling firm. We all heard him loud and clear, and it’s obvious he’s desperate for money. Selling his Cybertruck with high mileage just to clear debt? Yikes!"
These videos are so addictive
You see the father comes into the office and gives a favor to a friend that he knows. Everyone else gets the shaft. No one wins except the dealership.
What do you expect the business to operate at a loss?
Its so funny to see people realize how a profitable business is ran 😂
It's not always a win. Maintaining is harder than it is to get 💯
23:16 “you watch a lot of Shelby Sapp” 😂😂😂
That conversation with the building salesman was intense.
I’ve learned a lot from this guy especially when I’m planning my next trade or sell especially all the ins and outs of car dealerships! 🙌
I like George. Seems like a nice guy. His Brother is another story and his Dad Scares me
George, that GTR is sitting there too long. And those fugly wheels are the reason why. If you put the original wheels on, it will sell faster.
Those wheels are terrible
I like them. Compliments the red, I believe.
Its a specific taste. OG GTR will sell as is to many more ppl @arcutaz1344
it looks like a hotwheels car bruh
@@arcutaz1344 Tin can wheels. Nobody likes them since the Fast and Furious rice boy phase.
Give the deposit back and do a cancellation fee going forward. I love your videos and as much as you contractually earned it; this is coming from someone who works in sales and I often have deals that fall through even with months of work in (and I dont collect a dime). It sucks but maybe a cancelation fee is a better approach 🙌🕺
I think it’s best to just do a 3 day deposit, with a full refund within that time. If they haven’t done a credit app… they are just seeing if they can get a better deal
Also; if the credit app is declined, always give e deposit back. Customer service is the second most important thing in sales
Appreciate you bringing that up. 🙏
@@georgejsalibawhy don’t you react to the other comments about you cancelling the other guy
@@owencastle7826 I think you mean customer service is the number one thing in sales
I work at a dealership every time a customer put a deposit on the car. We let them know that the deposit is refundable within a week span but hey maybe that’s why we weren’t making money
After watching the video I agree! Selling it out from under the buyer because he could get more money was DEAD WRONG! A car is either sold or it is not! George doesn’t have the ethics I thought he had!
George pops real life bossalini 🔥
I love your honesty
Legitmately no way bro thought that M3 had cats LMAO... must not have started it
George...You are good. I was so entertained with the phone call.
Hey happy new year form the 🇬🇧. Me and my family are all sick with something. I stummbled across your channel and been watching your videos.. great stuff
I particularly enjoyed the tesla buy from your mate. Funny. Anyway keep the great video's coming ..
Best car show around great concepts & props to the camera guy with the good teeth
We need more of Papa Saliba!
Love the content bro. I've gained confidence in my own sales by learning from you
That phone call was hilarious🤣
Car’s not sold until it’s sold people. Money talks. A lot of times George say sold because they agreed to a deal. That doesn’t mean the deal is DONE. Only thing keeping a car or a woman waiting for you is 💰 💵 💷
People often misunderstand how this business operates, as it is first come, first served. Holding vehicles could potentially result in lost sales if clients change their minds before finalizing the deal. If a client has paid and signed, refunds should not be issued
That’s the Cleanest PORSCHE I’ve ever seen
It’s honestly a case by case scenario. We stamp the buyers order saying the deposit is fully refundable up until the car starts production as we have a lot of orders. I have had similar situation like you where people are threatening to get a lawyer etc. Not worth the aggravation so in some cases we do give it back. I had a guy lose his job etc. He wasn’t even asking for it back but gave it back in that situation. It’s a case by case not saying that is right way just how we have done it.
That person who wanted a refund. A person can always write an "addendum" to a contract and if the dealer signs it, good to go. otherwise you legally are committed to the terms of the contract you sign. This is very common in a buy/sell real estate deal.
Doesn't mean it's good business.
@@stefanpufferhow many business deals you making?
Damn George that was a slimy move
Godzilla on wheels 😂😂😂 thats original. Who raised this dude. 😂😂😂 Instead of trashing the wheels on the GTR, put the OEM rims on. Come on George
We have the OEM !
825 car in stock. he previously said a car takes 38 days to sell. that means they sell 21 cars a day, with a $4k profit per car, that equals a sales revenue of $84k per day.
Spread across I think 4 locations? Sounds like thin profit margin.
You could always let them apply the refund to another purchase within 6 months or something like that. But in the end, unless it really hurt your business, I would give back the refund and move on. No point in beating a customer up over a few bucks. In this day in age, people will put you on blast for the stupidest things, even if they are in the wrong. Ps. I am starting a drinking game. Every time George says "Bro" or " Does it have cats", ima take a drink :) Mery Christmas to all of you and keep the videos coming!!!
Charge a refundable deposit of like $500, which features a non-refundable admin fee of $100 or whatever makes sense for the business so you're not losing money if deals fall through $400 back, $100 to you, everyone wins.
You should sale shirts 👕
Saying
“ DOES IT HAVE CATS 🐈 “
lol 😅
I would say the seller won that negotiation by far.
This a great channel, we roast the customers and even George sometimes. Keep it up business must be booming
I’m Australian and this is my favourite channel very informative and awesome keep it up
We need one in Chicago
You so need a cat at your dealership, to make up for all the cars with no cats 😂😂😂
Keep up the great videos George. something about live negotians is fun to watch
George is the 🐐
In my opinion one of the "sleeper" cars in history for the price is the Mitsubishi Eclipse.
YOUR THE MAN GEORGE DO WHAT YOU GOT TO DO ITS A DOG EAT DOG WORLD
what is CATS? I always hear that
Any bmw x6 competition?
I love it! YES YOU CAN like he was using his jedi mind tricks!
Lets give it up for those top 3 buttons ... doing work.
😂😂😂😂
“Put stuff in me”
“Fill me up”
Ayo
Just give the guy his money back. He may not be a customer right now, but he'll never be one in the future if you give him an hassle.
❤love watching your videos
store credit kept on file for the depositer that bailed on the deal. no cash refunds remember the form you signed?
Reviews have changed things. The threat of a bad review? People can lie and get away with it while damaging a business that did nothing wrong.
this guy being a good building salesman has nothing to do with selling his/her car
Been loving your brother’s energy lately keep it up!
It’s the dealer plate purse for me 😂
Couldn't listen to the long negotiation, was too painful, but loved the rest of the video. Refunding everyone who has buyer's remorse is a slippery slope. Cancelling has to have some financial impact on the buyer.
Not to sound like a noobie but I googled CADS and couldn't figure out what that means? Is it mean original Catalytic coverter from manufacturer? Thanks. Great video George :) .
Cats as in catalytic converter most likely it would be original but as long as it has catalytic converters it has cats regardless if it’s original or not but original would help.
WHOA fellas look at the facts the dealer had customer sign the form period! This protects them from people playing the oh I want this car then driving it only to return it and wanting money back that’s what protects the dealership. When I had my dealership I did same thing and you just can’t please every customer and not to let it bother you yeah guy be pissed but you just move on the numbers meaning other customers out weigh the ones that think they have to prove a point bottom line every one at the dealership works hard and they move lot of high end cars. So George I would not refund the money it’s just business! I appreciate the videos brings back memories of when I had my dealership you come across all kinds that’s for sure.Move forward sell them cars.
Do they ship overseas?
Keep the videos coming ✌🏽🇬🇧
Why don’t people run high flow cats on the b58/s58?
We used to do $5k restocking fee
Been watching for a while and never thought of you as a shoddy car salesperson until today. It’s not about making money that way. What you did with the Cybertruck was low.
Why is it a little weird because the guy on the phone is totally owning you.
What are these “cats” they always talk about ? Catalytic?
A million dollar car company giving money back is hilarious. 😂😂😂
When you buy a car your deposit goes to the car and becomes part of the down payment. If the car is in the take back period you have to give back everything you can’t hold part of the deposit.
Review the Agreement: Carefully review the terms of the non-deposit refund form that the Attorney General signed. This form is important because it outlines the understanding between your dealership and the customer (in this case, the Attorney General). If the form clearly states that no deposit refund is due after the car is delivered, that should form a strong basis for your position.
Check State Laws: The Attorney General’s position might come with some specific legal implications, especially if they are acting in an official capacity. Check your state’s laws regarding vehicle sales, consumer protections, and refund policies to ensure you're in compliance. There may be specific consumer protection laws that apply in cases of returns or refunds, but those laws usually depend on the terms agreed upon by both parties.
Communication: Respond to the Attorney General's request in writing, referencing the non-deposit refund form and any applicable laws. Politely and professionally explain that the car was delivered and the form was signed, which indicates their acceptance of the terms of the transaction. Be sure to keep a record of all communication for legal purposes.
Address the Threat of Online Action: The threat of negative online actions can be concerning, but remember that such actions must still be based on facts. If the Attorney General is attempting to make public threats or accusations, make sure you respond calmly and factually, documenting your side of the story. It's also worth noting that online reviews, unless they're defamatory or false, are protected by free speech laws, but you can still work with a lawyer to explore your options in handling those reviews.
Consult a Lawyer: If the situation escalates, or if you feel that the Attorney General is acting inappropriately or outside of the bounds of the agreement, it’s essential to consult with an attorney. They can help you determine the best legal course of action, whether it involves enforcing the signed contract or addressing any potential reputational harm from online actions.
Consider a Settlement: If the matter appears to be getting contentious, and you want to avoid further legal complications or negative publicity, you could consider negotiating a compromise. For example, you could offer a partial refund or a different resolution that may satisfy the Attorney General without having to go to court or face public backlash.
George favorite artist is doja cat
Take a shot every time George says guys
Get in the M340i xdrive market. Those sell like 4for4 bundles at wendys.
I fuck wit the detail guy at the end keep him in
wtf would someone get rid of these cyber trucks with so low miles, I don't get it.
I would never give a deposit just for that reason to have to fight to get it back. If the car sells so be it. Your call on whether you help the customer out. Cybertruck was crazy you got it for $86K.
Question what happens to u if the car don’t have catzzzz!
George Sr. Looks like Jack Nicholson
Where do they store 800 to 900 cars??? Lot doesn't look that big??!!
I’d give it back it’s way better for business in the long run.
Why would a person say no refunds in the beginning
Gotta switch the wheels on the GTR immediately
Absolutely , they suck. Don’t even suit the car :/
@ yup😎
I would honestly give 50% back deposits are none refundable unless the dealer gives you a document saying that it is refundable
In the USA 🇺🇸 is it law to have catalytic converters on your car and why would you remove them??
It’s the law for the manufacturers. If you own the car you can do whatever you want.
im here just to roast george's customers again lol
That’s crazy if you got signatures and agreements on the cybertruck and just backed out on the dude…. You’ll lose a lot of business for that decision
Wow, I would definitely listen to my father when he is saying this market is very very slow. Why would you not listen to your father?
I am laughing, I am selling my old truck that’s not particularly valuable or rare but for what it is because it’s a very clean 7.3 powerstroke pre-DEF.
The dude offered me $500 less than the asking price and I said “look if I listed it at $500 over you would have offered me asking, let’s deal at half of the middle”.
I am still waiting to see if he will walk over $250. People just want to get what they think is a deal and the balance is asking at a starting point you don’t make people think you are unreasonable.
I am sure this guy will walk over the $250 and I don’t really want to sell it but it’s extra around here but I hate haggling with people over a couple hundred and people with actual money are worse than us plebes down here.
One thing that the truck has is cats and they got to go, those are worth $250.
I have a 2017 black GT-R I'll be listing soon. Clean Carfax, 29,xxx miles.. FBO/E85 capable $20k+ in mods. on 18" TE37s. $104k obo will be the cheapest one in the nation I'm sure unless there's one with 50k miles for like $100k lol
Bro Said he prob watches Shelby sapp 😂😂😂😂
Dont feel bad.. i just bought a motorcycle got a great deal because i drove 13hr round trip to do the deal. Where others were making better offers sat in their arm chairs
