Yes Kathy they are quite expensive and sought after now. You have some hidden treasures for sure. They are kind of like finding a unicorn while thrifting. They are getting few and far between and when you do find them you have to take out a loan to get your hands on one. Lol! 🤣

Hi Carmen, fairy lamps are getting harder and harder to find with all the resellers. They are also more expensive than ever before, especially when you get into the colors. Clear and amber are a little easier to find but I’m sure you already have seen that since you collect them. There is nothing like that excitement though when you see them sitting on the shelf. 🤗🤗

The last time I drove by Lake Waccamaw it was flooded so badly, but oh my goodness that was cute seeing the gals "alligator hunting", lol. The floral fabric with zipper tote was from Avon. My mom sold Avon for a while. The case was full of Avon products and samples. Easy way to sell door to door in our neighborhood. 👍😊 Brenda in Arizona

My husband cleaned out his office closet this morning, took them out from under the tree, and hid them in his closet so the kids wouldn't see them and think it was Christmas. lol I'm a good secret keeper....lol... I have to get a head start...I have 11 little children here at Christmas, and 8 in NC...not including the grown children...it's a lot, but I love it.

I know right! Those alligators have been there for as long as I can remember and surprisingly they really don’t bother anyone. I guess they are somewhat used to the people being there and with all the other wildlife in that canal they have no reason to hunt elsewhere. 😳lol

I love finding and collecting anything that my parents or grandparents had. Currently I am into copper, brass, or pewter. I also like old crocks and anything blue and white. I also like repurposed things like using a license plate for the roof of a birdhouse. I love your channel because it is different from other channels!!

Tell me about it. I think with the increase of young resellers trying to make a living out of the home the cost of vintage goodies are skyrocketing. I don’t mind paying up a little for something that I love but sometimes it gets a little ridiculous.
It’s so fun to find those pieces that bring back sweet memories. It’s not often that I find a piece that my mom had but when I do I almost start crying. Imaging crying over a sugar container, something so simple, but it happens.

First time I watched an antique mall video with music. Are you in NC? I live in northern Davidson county and I'm from Winston-Salem. I love antique malls, especially ones I have never been to. Wow, what a great price on the glass genie bottle. I believe I have the complete set of dishes and glassware that matched the amber/brown glasses. They are at my moms boxed up in my closet. The set was given to me when I was about 14. I'm 58 now.
Yes I am in NC, are there any good antique malls near Winston? I haven't been in many years. My sister used to live in Kernersville and we would visit often.
You're close to the coast. The main one, Lost in Time is a decent size place in Marketplace Mall. It covers one end of it. It's a hit or miss. There is a nice one in Concord called The Depot at Gibson Mills. It's pretty large. Most of the antique malls around are in old textile mills.
You found a treasure. I have been promising Summer an amber fairy lamp for months now. The fairy lamps are popular right now and some hard to find ones are selling for lots of money.
Waccamaw Pottery MAY be named after the Waccamaw River and Lake Waccamaw I’m not sure but a lot of things are named “Waccamaw” around here because of the history of the Waccamaw Native American tribe that inhabited southeastern NC. It’s possible that Waccamaw Pottery started by selling native pottery but all I had ever known it to be is retail made in China stuff.
Lol! The little canal that they live in is packed with fish and turtles. Probably tastes better to them than people. lol! But I agree, I don’t think I could live so close.

Becky, This was a fun video and thanks for taking me shopping with y’all. You have gotten me into amber glass and I just love the color. Of course, fall is my favorite time of year because of the colors and amber is one of the colors. I just received some the the amber glasses like you have from my son-in-law from them cleaning out his grandmother’s house. Do you know if you can drink out of these glasses or do they have lead in them. Your vases and everything else you picked up was such great finds. 😊❤😊🌼
I honestly don’t know Maria. I need to do a formal lead test on all my dishes. I know my beloved Corelle dishes are supposed to be teeming with it and I use them everyday. I will let you know if I find out.

First time I watched an antique mall video with music. Are you in NC? I live in northern Davidson county and I'm from Winston-Salem. I love antique malls, especially ones I have never been to.

I believe I have the complete set of dishes and glassware that matched the amber/brown glasses. They are at my moms boxed up in my closet. The set was given to me when I was about 14. I'm 58 now.
Yes I am in NC, are there any good antique malls near Winston? I haven't been in many years. My sister used to live in Kernersville and we would visit often.
You're close to the coast. The main one, Lost in Time is a decent size place in Marketplace Mall. It covers one end of it. It's a hit or miss. There is a nice one in Concord called The Depot at Gibson Mills. It's pretty large. Most of the antique malls around are in old textile mills.
I found the same Amber Fairy Light at Goodwill for $4.99 a few months ago. SCORE!!!! Those booths had some highly collectible vintage. ❤❤❤
You found a treasure. I have been promising Summer an amber fairy lamp for months now. The fairy lamps are popular right now and some hard to find ones are selling for lots of money.

So is waccamaw pottery named for the lake? Your mother in law is so pretty, Sumer looks like her. I love all of your finds
Waccamaw Pottery MAY be named after the Waccamaw River and Lake Waccamaw I’m not sure but a lot of things are named “Waccamaw” around here because of the history of the Waccamaw Native American tribe that inhabited southeastern NC. It’s possible that Waccamaw Pottery started by selling native pottery but all I had ever known it to be is retail made in China stuff.

Lol! The little canal that they live in is packed with fish and turtles. Probably tastes better to them than people. lol! But I agree, I don’t think I could live so close.
