Thanks for the info, appreciate it. Have 6 paleatus and I've just taken 85 eggs out!!! Net breeder coming in to have them in the tank flow. Let's see how this goes :)
@@norbittsadventures reporting back. the net breeder does not work... organics get trapped in the net and I also found that the temperature of my main tank might be too high preventing successful hatching and possibly promoting bacteria and/or fungal growth. The second batch of eggs are hatching now and looking healthy. I've done this by taking them out and putting them in plastic containers on top of the tank. I think what's key here is to place the eggs with as much spacing in between as possible. clumped eggs seemed to get fungal growth much faster, especially if there's a unfertilized one in there. I've tested this theory (unintentionally) by having one cup spaced out like a grid on the wall and one having clumps. hope this helps anyone reading this. cheers

Hello. I’m new to corydora breeding. I have 8 in a 32 gallon. Early last week, I found eggs on the glass. Went out a bought a bleeder box and put them in. 2 days ago, many have hatched. I like the little cup idea. Do you put an air stone in the cup?
@@norbittsadventuresone other question…after they grow some (in the breeder box), when (what size) do you move them out of a breeder box and to what size tank?
@@pacificreefer4495 this is the hardest part about growing Corys. I usually let them grow in the box for a couple of weeks. You can either move them into a small tank that lets the grow by them self or straight into a big tank. Really up to you on that one
how very fascinating to use shrimp... I was given some eggs to try... and it was the first thing I did when I set up a separate jar for them. I put the smallest filter in there, reduced the flow to very low, added a java fern, some sand and 3 shrimp. Didn't think about the almond leaf, so I cut a peace from another tank.... I'm excited. 2 or 3 is 100% more than I have lol Thank you so much for you video.
I can never get my eggs to hatch. They always get fuzzy after a few days. I've tried different methods. I think they are not fertilized most of the time.
Great video! I have 1 question. I just got a batch of 250 eggs. Put them in a 5 gallon tank with sponge filter, heater and airstone. But somehow the nitrate "No3" went really high. And the water stinks. What did I do wrong? Please help🙏
Sounds like a cycling issue with the tank. Only thing I can really suggest here is doing 30% water changes everyday until it comes good. But honestly I’ve never tried this method so hopefully you can get the nitrate down
I feel so bad now, I never knew those tiny things on the glass were eggs, I thought they were snails growing. Snails are a pest in my tank. I was on vacation for 6 days, before I left I put brine shrimp so my fish wouldn't starve.
