I remember back when I used a CD player, you could slightly unplug your headphones and hear this kind of stuff, it was super neat to discover the harmonies and such I never noticed before.
That's "What's My Age Again" snipped of "Please Stay with Me" has me shook - I've been listening to this band religiously for 15 years and never knew mark said please stay with me. I just assumed someone was saying "What's My Age Again" in the background
There is also someone saying whats my age again in it, i think it's panned across the ears too for added affect. I have also heard people saying that its "please stay wendy", but i think this is more a connection they make due to the song originally being called the peter pan complex
I had absolutely no idea Tom was in fact singing with Mark on Going Away To College. I thought they only did that for the live version. I can’t wait to listen to the mix again and see if I can pick it out.
Thank you SO much for making this, this is so COOL!!!! :D It's awesome hearing the more subtle parts of some blink songs on their own! Love Tom's backing vocals in GATC, wish there was a whole version! XD And those parts from The Rock Show and Letters To God just sound beautiful!~ 😍😍😍
I remember doing this thing where I wouldn't plug my earbuds or headphones in all the way, which doesn't play the full track, and only plays an isolated half of it. The mix would be rough and echoey of course, but I always loved doing it to listen to some sort of instrumental of the song or listen to the cool sounds and parts of the song (like backing vocals) that were hidden away in the mix. This works well on an ipod shuffle (where I did/do it on). It doesn't work on every device though which sucks. At least on phones. I was able to actually try it on my chromebook and it actually worked a little. So I think as far as computers are concerned, it's based on the earbuds/headphones. And yes, a lot of the songs I'd listen like this were Blink songs.
As a child, my player jammed and turned the Metallica cassette upside down, and I heard Nothing Else Matters in reverse. This is a very beautiful moment. Try it, final solo in reverse.
I did many different things, some were taken from the official stems, some i removed/isolated the center of the track, some I used Spleeter on, inverted the track, etc.
If ya'll have never heard this stuff before or can only hear it when it's been isolated then you need to invest in a decent pair of headphones or speakers.

Amen
Holy shit you just sent me back 20 years with a single sentence.
Yes!
Yesssssss!
Ooof, you’ve just unlocked some memories here. Good times!!
Those harmonies in Letters to God gave me goosebumps

Funny thing is, I have always heard the "please stay with me" part in the song.
@@Matt92Machine Me too.
What part of the song is this?
Outro
this channel is seriously seriously underrated, i hope this garners the attention it deserves
Sounds like such a bot comment
... ok lol
I’ve always heard the “please stay with me” on what’s my age again
First time I noticed it I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 5 years, shit fucked me up. Such a great track
I've never heard it. What is the time stamp for it in the actual song?

If you listen closely, the word "time" in the chorus has an extra naisily tone which gave it away for me
Holy shit I ALWAYS WONDERED what he was saying in what’s my age again and it’s “please stay with me”. Jesus this is insane lmao
Love their harmonies so much

that part of whats my age again is like my favorite part
Oh shit Tom sings on going away to college 😭
I’ve always heard that Letters to God background voice, I’ve listened to that song so many damn times 😂
That All Of This melody is beautiful, I wish we heard it a bit better in the song.

That part of The Rock Show sounds like A Little's Enough by AVA a little bit lol
More of this sort of content would be great, maybe bands like Coheed and Cambria, Paramore, MCR etc
As a child, my player jammed and turned the Metallica cassette upside down, and I heard Nothing Else Matters in reverse. This is a very beautiful moment. Try it, final solo in reverse.
The talking at the beginning of reckless abandon would have been worth showing too
Tiny voices is so dark and addictive 😍
The All Of this one was so sick
Some really cool harmonies like!
you should have put marks vocals in always or the poem in violence
Suggestion: add subtitles with what song is playing. Or play clips of the “regular” version before or after for context
Keep it up man, these videos are awesome
0:41 From which part of WMAA does this come?
This is really cool
Thanks for this! What software did you use to make this?
I did many different things, some were taken from the official stems, some i removed/isolated the center of the track, some I used Spleeter on, inverted the track, etc.
Hi can you please make a video where you isolate Tom’s vocals on the song Even If She Falls and isolate the guitar riff at the bridge? 😍
YES
Love it
Rock Show giving me Backyardigans vibes fr
I always heard the “please stay with me” but I thought he was saying “please stay away from me”
Was kinda confused because that is the melody i gravitate towards during online songs, I cannot recall the main vocal melody rn
..so Ava was always there 🥺but we never heard it
You used to be able to plug your headphones in halfway to hear stuff like this. How’d you do it?
0:50 eargasm
mind blown
You can hear on broken earphone that sounds mono
What’s the instrument being used in that section of All Of This?
Mark said in his discord its a soft synth Roger Joseph Manning Jr had
Redportal I wish we had the stems of that track, I love the instrumental layers. It’s my favourite off the album.
@@joesheridan8135 He said hes going to show the violence talking tracks/his parts on stream
nice.
Where did you get these snippets? Especially, I wanna listen to the full version from Letters to god. Frustrating just to have these 4 secs.
just backing vocals

0:07 that's Jordan Pundik of NFG
nope is tom singing very high notes
No it’s not, he was only on Cat Like Thief
@@JoshonthenetJordan has a very distinct nasally sound… what part did he sing in Cat Like Thief because I don’t hear him?
