BROTHER thank you! Newby over here! I’m pretty confident that I can start her up and tune it thanks for the great advice and encouragement! First nitro TRUCK 🤘😎🤙
I have one of these NRB 5 buggies, its great fun for the price. The needles on the engine were totally messed up when I got it though. Glad I have got something to refer to now so I can see how it should be running. I think I am pretty much there but just a bit too lean on the high speed. Great video, thanks
Hi pal how much usage can i expect in the engine and is it expensive on parts,im thinking of getting one of these cars at weekend n would be my first nitro
I have the Nanda BD8 nitro RC car but can no get it to start. and fuel isnt getting pulled threw any ideas would help alot thanks. I got it second hand off facebook and its been stood a long time not run so now won't start.
Hey, I'm running my nrb5 still on the factory settings. When I get to full throttle it starts bogging and would stop unless I release the throttle. I read all kinds of things but as many opinions I read as different they are. What do you think is the problem here? Thank you 🙏
I'm not very well educated in Nitro RCs.....I've got a Traxxas T-Maxx that came with a 2.5 engine and it lost compression so when I replaced it, the shop upgraded it to a 3.3....how do these .21 engines compare to those?
@@TheRCBiker thanks for reply. i use 25% nitro, now im using medium plug. this setting is ok? maybe i will try medium hot. i already messed up my HSN and LSN, do u know both factory settings needle? i cant find any manual about this engine online, maybe u know its setting.
Check this one out : www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__42607__HobbyKing_174_6_24V_LiPoly_Glow_Plug_Igniter.html I've just ordered one on backorder to give it a go. £9.11 inc. shipping, can't go wrong :D
It's funny cause All the needles were set to the factory settings and I turned them all in them reset them manually to factory settings but I still don't know how to tune them. Its sounds stupid being as though I can tune the truck and you use the exact same method but I just can't get a good tune. My uncle got me into this hobby so I'll just let him do it and watch him
Hi Tom, I run a Cold plug with 25 or 30% Nitro Medium plug with 20% Nitro Medium Hot Plug with 16% Nitro It does differ between engines though. And also climate. Hope this helps, Make sure you subscribe for more RC vids :)
Just bought this buggy and messed up the needle settings on high and low needles... normally good at this but now I need to reset to stock needle settings so was wondering what they are ? I can't find them on google and when I do it's confusing ??
Ignore misread your comment lol thanks mate! Do some more rc! I'm just getting back into it after 2 years of not doing it, I used to have a serpent 977, hpi Baja, traxxas (forgot which one) , hpi evo, and a crappy little one that I used if I wanted to just mess round
Yes more coming :) Let me know how you get on with those settings, They'll only be a very rough setting, Once you get the engine running you can follow a tuning tutorial and tune it up properly.

Thanks a lot bro I bought a little car in a jar sale and by watching your videos I was able to start it and make it go my kid was happy. Job done 😊
Nice video!! You wouldn't happen to know what the factory needle settings are for the hsn and lsn on this engine?

I can't decide what to do buy this or the ftx torro? Thanks

What are factory or default settings for high and low speed
Hey,
I'm running my nrb5 still on the factory settings. When I get to full throttle it starts bogging and would stop unless I release the throttle. I read all kinds of things but as many opinions I read as different they are. What do you think is the problem here?

Watch this video and find out!
Why should you not adjust the high speed needle on a cold engine
Hey man can we have 2 speed gear in this engine model's? Tbis is awsome as small 1 10 scale has it 2 speed gearbox

As above, more power & fuel consumption. you probably won't notice the fuel or extra power :)
hello. i buy this engine sh 21, what glow plug it use? short or long plug? i need to use hot plug to break in right? im in trouble right now
Hello, it uses a standard plug. Use a plug that suits your fuel percentage. 20% fuel and medium hot plug will be fine.
@@TheRCBiker thanks for reply. i use 25% nitro, now im using medium plug. this setting is ok? maybe i will try medium hot. i already messed up my HSN and LSN, do u know both factory settings needle? i cant find any manual about this engine online, maybe u know its setting.
I have a question why does my rc truck only run for a short time ?
8-15 minutes is normal running time
TheRCBiker ok thank u
TheRCBiker and another 1 why does my car go by itself when I accelerate
Where can we buy a glow igniter with hump pack like the one that you're using in this video?
I originally bought it from Modelsport. Not sure if they still sell them
Just had a look and they don't appear to sell them anymore I don't think

Can you help me when I start my car and when I give it full throttle it stays there when I let off for a quick second or two
Sounds like it's bogging down with too much fuel, try leaning it a little
Great video! Helped me with my Nanda NRB 5 :) any video on idle?
IDK Why but I can tune my XTM X-Cellerator and my Losi XNT but not my HPI RS4 or my Yokomo GT-4. It's just hard for me.
Sounds familiar. Did you have trouble getting the RS4 started for the first time because the needle settings from the factory were totally messed up?

Hi mate Where I can get brand new Rc car same one
Mustafa Kocyigit model sport
Hi what glow plug do you recommend?
Hi Tom, I run a Cold plug with 25 or 30% Nitro
Medium plug with 20% Nitro
Medium Hot Plug with 16% Nitro
It does differ between engines though. And also climate. Hope this helps, Make sure you subscribe for more RC vids :)
@@TheRCBiker thank you so much I will get some cold plugs as I'm going to run it on 25% same fuel you use in the video.
@@tomswift5070 No worries
thanks again JT i'll use this method on my G8X..more video please!..
This is the same exact buggy as my Team Energy G8X! The only difference I see is the shocks and the color of the aluminum.
do you have to tune your rc car
yes, you have to tune a nitro rc car.
should I be worried about the amount of oil coming from the exhaust
No, it's normal for nitro engines. Especially during break in when they're running a rich mixture
Now this is the bit I don’t understand. Yes it’s my first nitro car 🤔. I will be watching this video more than once 🤣🤣😂
Dean Turton its very easy so don’t worry. Sign up on a forum called roc talk

Flush the High speed needle to the edges and turn it 1.5 turns in. The Low end I'd flush to the edges and turn 1 full turn in.
Cheers what about the low speed needle ?
