This is an adorable little bag. Thanks. And I absolutely love all your tips on sewing techniques. We assume sewists know how to do all the basics and more often than not, we don't!
Thanks Linda, I'm always worried I cover too much for those who already know how to do it, but then don't want to miss things for those who dont 🤣🤷♀️ . Glad you enjoyed xx
In the US bags are NOT provided at the airport, you must supply your own one quart bag. Readily available at any supermarket or drugstore. But reusable bags like this is best! Great tutorial 🎉
Thanks you xoxo
Thank you Diane! This is perfect since you turned me on to Zipper Valley! 😊 First time sewing with vinyl and you have made it very easy as usual!
Wonderful!
Love this! Xmas gifts for traveling family members!
Happy holidays!
Thank you for this tutorial. You always make instructions so precise and complete. A great little project.
You are so welcome! Thank you for your lovely comments xxxx
Thank you! This is great!!
I always use a hairdryer and it turns marvelously. Also, if you iron your ironing board to heat it up, doesn’t take long then set your vinyl on it it’ll flatten it right out! Thanks for the pattern ❤
Great tip!
Thank you for another nice and useful project. Now to watch the other video on working with vinyl xx
Hope you enjoy it!
A hairdryer works a treat, just be careful with the heat as it can burn your hand if too hot :) great tutorial Diane
Thanks for the great tip!
Lovely, turning vinyl is such a treat (LOL)😅
Right?! lol
Brilliant idea! Thank you
Great for a little stadium bag too!!
Definitely!
Ooh. Thanks, Diane! Perhaps you can create a spin-off video on how to convert to a bag by adding straps. Love it! ❤
There may be more clear vinyl videos on the way !!!
@@SpencerOgg: OK 👍 NICE ! Thanks for this video , WANT to go sew now …but I have to work ….
Looking forward to your vinyl series 💕
I love this!!! Thank you
So glad!
Love it!
Thanks!!
for threading through the zip pull - a floss threader works really well, - I have a pack by my sewing machine for threading needles, etc. GUM® Eez-Thru® Floss Threaders - 25ct, or whatever brand you find
That's a great idea!! Thanks for sharing
Thank you ❤❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
I made your bag but added small width binding to the sides. Hopefully soon I will check it out at the airport!
Happy trravels :)
😊
Oh goodness. I sewed a 3/16c seam not 3/8". Will try again tomorrow!
love it please can you include the "penny pull" link - many thanks 😃
Here's one, but checkout Ebay, there are loads. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202896133767
Do you have the instructions written anywhere? Looks like a great project for my first vinyl
My paid patterns come with full written instructions and pattern pieces to print off, but my free tutorials are just video instruction Laura. Why not join my bag sewing Facebook group to share your photos and for more projects and bag making chat: facebook.com/groups/spencerogg
thank you for sharing. Great information! What kind of Janome sewing machine are you using? Do you use this machine to make all your bags?
I have the Atelier 7 (Skyline 7 in the US) and love it, its what I make all my bags on, I only use domestic machines, never industrials - I highly recommend the Atelier models

Love the tutorial. Just wondering if you’ve worked with TPU and jelly vinyl. If you have what are your thoughts?Tnx
I've just ordered them in, so I'll let you know as soon as I've had a play 😘
What size needle did you use in your machine please?
Hi, I'm using a microtex needle size 70. Have a watch of my video where I discuss sewing with clear vinyl: th-cam.com/video/nz4mPOIa98w/w-d-xo.html
Diane, this is so nice but not working for me! I have open corners. I cut 3/4" corners, folded bottom up and sewed down sides with a 3/8" seam. Gaps at corners. Please help, thank you.
Have another watch of the video Vicki, I'm not cutting the corners at all - these aren't box corners, I'm literally just folding the vinyl up 3/4" at the bottom and then stitching. Let me know!
Thank you Diane. It makes perfect sense rewatching video, I've never sewn this type of bottom and excited to try it. I think I was off on the side seam measurement too. The gap was huge. Thanks so much for your reply ❤. Thanks for tge great free tutorial. I learned so much from the vinyl tips you gave too.
@@vickipetrarca3617 Much quicker than a regular box bottome - it just gives a bit of extra space 😀 glad you are enjoying the tutorials xx
It’s loads easier than trying to match up the boxed corners! Thanku Diane, I’ve made 3 different sizes now, ready for my hols and the airport😬😬😬😬😬
Or anyone else can help me.
Replied :)
