Haha, reminds me of using the Replay Mod for Minecraft and then compositing it in After Effects. This, however, looks easier and better, plus it has good software support straight from Google themselves.
@@LiquidShamanMan it was a huge chore. I had to locate and position them manually by trial and error. Change your view to like 25% so you can see off the working area and then change coords till positioned correctly. It was a long time till I figured out the repeatable pattern. I'm sure there must be a reasonable explanation for how to do this easily. I just didn't find it. Good luck.

Your editing skills are great but google earth's textures for buildings are very low res. The sky 2D shots are definitely useful but I don't see many people doing things in 3D that close to the surface. Cheers!
Definitely true. In Google's documentation they actually have a suggested angle and altitude for the camera to get as close as possible to photorealistic images.

that continuous rotation of the marker you can easily do less complicated via the "rotation" attribute... edit: yeah I just noticed that you wouldn't have the control over the rotation speed per second as with the expression loop... my bad.

I'm looking at this program right now, the possibilities are amazing as to how this can be used. Thanks for the good video. My grandson is almost the same age by the looks of it.
I ran this again with another segment I created. I added 2 track points. One of them tracked perfectly, the other was wild, flying all over the place. Not sure why the behavior of them was so totally different. My guess is that these only work really well in fairly simple situations, where the tracked point is on screen the whole time and doesn't move around too much. When they work though it's magic!

Is it true that you can't use Google Earth Studio in your own monitized TH-cam videos? I think I read that somewhere..
Not entirely sure. The licensing is very complex, but you can find it on Google.
