Petrol cars cost more but have a robust support and maintenance network. Diesel cars have relatively cheaper fuel prices. But they cost more. Whereas CNG tanks take up a lot of space and come with service and fuel availability problems.

Petrol and CNG me 50K la difference hai... Maine Aura li hai 2020 me 8L me or 30000KM chal gayi CNG pe
Considering CNG prices increasing day by day & diesel engine discontinuing & my very low usage, which car would be suitable to buy? Except Maruti suzuki.

My observations after few years
1) 10% power drop under 20kmph , after this hardly any difference specially in highway
2) Avg is more than petrol, so cheaper than petrol even if cost is same
3) Maintenance is 1500 rs more per year to clean the throttle body 4 times a year
4) Peace of mind that you are contributing to a greener planet
Over all It is great for people who drive on highways a lot. With little planning, you can refill in 10 min as well

I have used LPG for 14 years
Nice Pickup and good range of about 290 km
Consumes less boot space.
I don't know why companies are not making CNG vehicle now a days.
LPG is not safe as compare to CNG
CNG is no more cheap, diesel is good in terms of power what we get I case of CNG.
I drive a Swift petrol with aftermarket Lovato LPG. Trust me, I drive it around like a Bike. Mostly use it on gas but note that engine oil consumption slightly increases so keep checking car's dip stick 🍡

If your running more than 1000 km per month then only consider CNG or Diesel as you’re paying 1-2 lac more for CNG Or diesel and it will take long time to recover that cost plus if you’re paying off through EMI then 3-4k will increase in your EMI that doesn’t make any sense paying 3-4K extra pay that amt for petrol instead and also petrol engine is smooth and have life 15 years than your he Diesel engine 🙂

First of all Fuel efficiency of Diesel higher than any other fuels. As an example taking swift 2018 model; If you calculate the fuel cost of 10000KM for a diesel vehicle then approx rs 42000 rupees (assuming 22kmpl)and for Petrol approx rs63000 (assuming 17kmpl). So 21000 rupees for 10000 km is not a small thing. Service cost may be 2000-3000 rupees higher in diesel vehicle but till now Diesel is more cost efficient.
N.B. :- All BS6 vehicle don't need DEF fluid.

Diesel is best for fun to drive and the price will be in control compared to CNG and petrol as its utility fuel. private OMCs selling diesel at 120/130 rs per liter in 2022 while it's available at 90 to 110 and public sector OMC. Who cares about cost savings while people go for 10 to 25 Lakh cars

Meri Honda City may after after market ka cng laga hai, highway may chalne may koi problem nahi hota. Thoda issue hota hai ghat section may gadi chadhane may. Baki koi issue nahi hai. Sequential cng kit agar acche brand ka lagwaya jaye to koi problem nahi deta aur cng ke pumps ab major highways pe hai. To kafi kam refueuling ke issues hai.

Bilkul aapko CNG karwa leni chahie, aur kis company ki karani hai ye apke area ke hisab se apko dekhna hoga ki vha sabse achi service kaunsi hai.
In pune I experienced no que for filling cng..5 minute Mai kaam ho jaata hai,bcoz there are sufficient cng pumps in pune..baaki dusare city ka malum nahi ki cng filling karane me Kitana time jaata hai ..

Just a hype created by the companies that after fitment cng vehicles have issues. Driven wagon R for 1.7 lacs on cng and didn't face any issues.

If I will run on an avg 3000km per year, that’s not very much and I’m planning for nexon. So should I go for petrol version or cng(which is yet to come).. and mainly i will run in city although, I don’t think I’ll use car much as I’m a college student and lives near the college itself.

Company fitted cng n after market cng same, why company say to buy company fitted cng because if we fit cng outside it's only 50k , if we go company fitted cng they charge 1.50 lakhs more. Fit good company cng cylinder i think no issue.

I have family of 4 and thats the only reason to buy car, so that when we move somewhere together can use it. Living near to Delhi NCR(Ghazoabad) so most places are covered by metro and will rarely required to travel in metro city as well. Only to move out wirh family once un a month will be used. Was thinking to buy the CNG but as per ur detailing, i feel petrol is enough for my use.

Diesel is best as now a days CNG and Diesel price are same and diesel can easily giving average 20 plus if hatch back then 25 plus with good torque and AC cooling in Diesel car far better and pickup vibration issue diesel now equivalent with petrol in fact pick up is more than petrol counterpart, For small car segment Tata Altroz diesel best and diesel engine maintenance cost also now a days cheaper.
But cng gives more mileage than diesel right

@@salilagharkar I am using LPG in both my Cars since last 10years and never faced any issue. Pros - 1. Boot space is saved as cylinder is fitted in spare wheel well. 2. No drop in performance as compared to CNG. 3. Filling stations are available on every highway as compared to CNG so no need to wait for long queues. 4. Cost per kilometre is same as CNG. 5. Very light weight of cylinder does not harm rear suspension. 6. CNG puts a lot of load on the Ignition system and thus requires frequent change of spark plugs. Cons - 1. LPG availability in Mumbai is an issue but in Navi Mumbai there are plenty of LPG pumps. 2. Spare wheel has to be relocated.

Abb hume nayi Car leni h petrol or diesel yahi question bhot bada h kyuki company showroom wale bole ki ab diesel band hoga dheere dheere. Aur aap petrol ko aage chahe to cng me convert kr skte h.

Everything is based on assumption but diesel engine has no rival... I've driven my maruti dzire diesel 2019 model 110000 kms and it never got me any issue...any mechanic can do its service and it's totally reliable even now after crossing 1 lac km...

already using amaze diesel now 9.5yrs complete and going to change.. avg run 1200-1500 km/m.
(Drive on highway minimum 1000 km, 200-500 in city only) mostly run for long drive in Punjab n Himachal where CNG is tough to find.

According to your need you should buy a diesel car for next 7-9 year, can not promise for the resale but you will so much on fuel for sure and engine performance is also good

Janab aap kon si car drive kartae ho. Aapki car ka maintenance charges and running in city + highway 🛣 how much frequently you cover. Car service you do from authorized workshop or road side mechanic. Please share all details along with current fuel price of your city for easy decision with calculations for result of purchasing which car to choose
I have Ford Ecosport, and maintenance charges are roughly around 6-7k on a single service which I do every 3 Months from authorized service center, where I cover almost 1000 km in one month.

Petrol engine don't give nice averages, after some time it's decreases and once it goes below 9 , it's real painful to drive a car for individuals. It's pleasure if company sponsored.

Getting CNG 1.5 times mileage from petrol in same car.
Not facing any problem in filling CNG.
In BS6 Diesel engine m Pollution are reduced almost 80-90 percent and are on level with petrol engines .
So do you think diesel and petrol in BS6 validity would be same 15 years ??
Plus in city conditions specially diesel gives very good mileage due to high torque.
CNG is difficult to find and with family it becomes awkward moment when you have to wait in line for 25 minutes at pump .
You are correct BS6 diesel are clean, unfortunately a bad picture about diesels is created by some countries with a nefarious intentions. And people with lack of scientific knowledge are propagating dodgy information.

Which petrol car will give a mileage of 20 kmpl? The statements are hypothetical. And there will be atleast a gap of 5 kmpl between petrol and diesel cars. If a petrol car gives a mileage of 15 it means it will require a fuel of around 66 litres which cast around 7350 in mumbai. On the other hand with a mileage of 20, a diesel car will require around 50 liters which will cost around 4700 in mumbai. So the monthly difference would be around 2650 (yearly around 32000). So diesel is much more sensible. Also don't forget the difference between the resale value of diesel and petrol cars (diesel resale>petrol resale).
