My Dad has been stationed in Elizabeth City since 2007 and will be there until at least 2015. I miss him so much and he is so great at what he does... Go E7 Chief Petty Officers!
My StepDad Is A Mec. On The C130 J Model's. And I Got To Work With Him Every-Day Mon-Fri. And Its Really Fun, I Help Him With The Weekly Inspections On The Planes. And Help Him Fix Anything That Needs To Be Fixed. Its A Really Fun Experience.

These GUYS are exciting, and what they DO is very exciting, but when they said at the end of this video that Elizabeth City is exciting the video went from creditable to crazy. They pushed the PR BS too far!!!
I have a firm belief in at least 30 to 40 years of service, 20 years should be minimum, less than that is absolutely unacceptable my family hasn't served for over 150 years so Americans can be slackers!
Your family isn't the only one!! Mine served with the USLSS and some of the first families to settle the Outer Banks of NC. My dad is my hero, our Marine serving in Vietnam. I think if you served on the frontlines during any war, your dues are paid. Having lived with his PTSD and now having it myself ( thanks NC DOC and letting inmates come before staff) is a big enough price to pay, but certainly is just a piece of what we gave!! Americans are becoming self entitled brats crying victim over crap that they weren't even a part of!! I imagine there's some pretty embarrassed ancestors!
I have so many good memories of being on that base. My Uncle was stationed there back in 89. He was a Helo pilot.

I believe the Captain was referring to the excitement that takes place at the Air Station.
