I bought 7 pair of various AceMark shoes based on your (and other youtuber style guys) rec. in other videos
Holy moly what a shoe. I almost felt like I underpaid when I pulled these exquisite pieces of foot furniture out of the box. The quality is just mind blowing.
I haven't received my set yet but can't wait...I originally bought the wrong size and had to return them (guys, truly take the time to print out the size guide measure yourself and order the right size their last is very gracile and caters to people with high instep so if you are flat footed you may find that your regular size in another brand is way too tight for AM, like I did).
That said , the few minutes I spent with the first batch was all the proof I needed that this was an exceptional shoe maker.
I have another 6 pair of dress shoes in the queue as a Christmas Gift to ME plus 2 of their luxury dress sneakers in preparation for the Spring.
I bought an entire wardrobe of the standard styles that I love. (Bluchers, Cap Toe Ox's, Whole Cuts, Monk Straps, Chucka's)
I see them as an investment and buying a set means I can cycle/rotate them (just as you suggested) ...which means it takes a lot longer for any one of them to wear....I plan on having these for the next 50 years or longer.
I also got a bunch of shoe trees from Houndsbay rather than the Acemarks ones since they are so expensive.

    Here's a tip.
    1. Find your size for Allen Edmonds shoes.
    2. Go to shoebank for their factory seconds.
    3. Buy a wingtip, an Oxford, and the most absurd looking shoe such as the Dalton or Broadstreet spectators, because man needs a high quality clash shoe.

Here is an idea for a new video: techniques to match your phone with your wardrobe.
Phones are now an essential part of everyday carry, and I think it might be worthwhile to match to start matching their colors and all with your wardrobe. I personally have a blue phone, with a black case for everyday carry. For more formal occasions, I remove the case and the blue of the phone matches with my blue suit or a tie I am wearing. Small things like this may make an impact (or I may be reading too much into things haha).
This may require a bit of research as it seems like an area of fashion that hasnt been broken into yet.
Btw, you may also be able to get a sponsor from dbrand, a smartphone skin manufacture.

Walmart wrangler slip ons are amazing. They’re $15, or probably a nine on comfort level, and lasted me at least six months while working at a hardware store and running around a lot as a student, sometimes I also wear them while I work out. Probably the best value possible for shoes, in my opinion. Obviously, dress shoes, but fantastic for casual or around the house type situations.

Sometimes if you are at the right place at the right time you can find some real bargains. I recently was at an estate sale where I picked up a pristine pair of Allen Edmonds with the cedar shoe trees for $10.00. Also I think it is also just as important to keep the insides of your shoes in good condition as well. I always get a cheap pair of air pillow insoles to keep the inside footbed of my shoes looking good. I just replace as necessary.

I wear a size 15 wide normally. And the rockports I have are fine, but not amazing. What kind of dress shoe style would compliment my feet instead of accentuating it weirdly? Plain toe, round for, square toe, Oxford, etc.

    • @jonstern7511

William Nett Antonio will know more than me but some Italian Blake stitched shoes can have little or no rim round the edge compared to a Goodyear Welted shoe. This makes the shoe less big and bulky and I think would complement your foot size. Any dress shoe shape (rounded rather than square) should work

I do have some gripes with Allen Edmonds, I don't love every shoe they make. Some are downright ugly. But that's okay, they have a pretty wide variety and there's something for everyone. What keeps me coming back is that they have multiple widths for EVERY shoe! Few others do that. Plus they have local retail stores. Sure, I'd like to try Alden or Crockett and Jones, but I don't have $2k to spend on a trip to London to get my $700 shoes fitted.

I can also recommend to insert changeable insoles as one more layer, and change them periodically. When they wear out or become smelly - you just switch for new ones. It's easier and cheaper to remove them, than having a disappointment of your favorite shoes becoming unwearable.

I agree, I just bought two pairs from the factory shop but for many people, even the factory shop 50% off price can still be £700+. I also bought a pair from Cheaney for just £140 (down from £390) and just like Antonio's formula, they look good and the price is almost a steal which makes the feeling even better.

I am a big fan of your's and have learnt a lot from you about style. You are literally an inspiration for me........ But sir, i just wanted to ask, the wax that you said to apply on the shoe rather than a polish (cream), but the wax is applied only in the hard surfaces of the shoe (like the toe cap area)..... Otherwise if the wax is in the middle portion of the shoe, then it creates creases while walking...... So just to ask you, does applying wax to the whole shoe have any bad effects on the shoe?

Antonio do you have any other quality boot recommendations aside from Thursday? I have a pair of those but looking for something else in brown. Not sure if I like the EVA midsole, it doesn't seem too durable and they can smell.

Couple of times I saw fake stitches on a sole, when I was looking for new shoes. One time I even saw fake bolts that were supposed to give a look of sturdiness, I guess. Completely embarrassing - don't fall for that, guys, it's actually quite easy to spot.

Antonio you should go ahead and patent that equation. You might even want to quantify "the how does it make you feel" part with a questionnaire that you fill every time you wear the shoes or after 10 wears or so

The value equation should also include something that accounts for the business value of shoes. Frankly I don't like oxfords (I like Derbys) but I own them for the office and job interviews. Your shoes do create an impression and that has value. I doubt your shoes alone would get you the job but the wrong one certain can cost you the job with observant interviewers.

Antonio 3 to 5 pairs of very good Cowboy boots round toe, horseman heel, leather sole, army midsole, saddle vamp, single stitch, pull holes. 15" Upper $200 to $300 per pair are better than Dress Shoes no Mistakes To Avoid, Your Shoes Get Wet the smell of wet shoes not nice, I do not worry about bad weather as much in Cowboy boots apply some water protector to the boot to help keep water running off the boot instead of being absorbed into the leather. Conditioner, Polishing from time to time your set

5:22 Sorry Antonio, that's not correct. Seeing stitching on the outside does not mean it's goodyear welted. And Goodyear welted does not necessarily mean that there's stitching on the outside ;) On the outside you see the the stitching of the sole which is glued and in addition stitched on the edge of the sole.

They are not $600 dollar shoes. These are mid range shoes (which the consumer has a ton of options in the $200-250 range. Taft, Beckett Simonon, and so on, you just aren’t advertising them), no where near the quality of Allen Edmonds.
