We should also not forget about the decrease of estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone in older women and men.

"Professional Help" isn't trying to help us. Most "Professionals" just want to push pills to treat symptoms and never even attempt to identify the root cause of those symptoms.
Thank you for sharing your research and knowledge to help us find real answers.

Beautifully presented & researched video once again. More hormones are involved, especially thyroid and steroid hormones. But those are for another video. Quite valuable info herein.
Unlike when Anne was a child, in 2024, childhood obesity has become normalized. And adult obesity has become magazine cover glamor.
As a professional, if weightgain in the form of adiposity is disproportional to moderate lifestyle habits, then think hormones! You'll get nowhere without solving that issue first.

Anne would of needed to be in a fairly privileged position to access all the health professionals to address her weight issues..but thankyou for the free content that allows me to learn enough that I can go search free resources for myself

Agreed... I used to be a very petite 20 something and despite no real change in diet I have put in masses of weight. Atributed to perimenopause, having children and also stresses of life. Calorie deficit does help but you cannot sustain it long term!

Thanks for sharing. Calorie deficit does work wonders for others short term but it always will be much healthier and great for us to watch our intake and keep things in moderation.

Try intermittent fasting along with the exercise you are doing. It contributed to my losing the 25 pounds I put on post menopause

@@YOGABODY.Official short term yes. I've lost 25 pounds by counting calories but I've put it back on. I haven't changed what I'm eating, same portions/selection as what I used on my diet. I think my body has adjusted the metabolism to the fewer calories and now I'm almost back to my starting point. I can't cut my calories down even more as I was only eating 1200/day. I have always eaten healthy but it just hasn't worked. In seeing this video I now realize my problem might be stress. I am constantly on high alert living with a spouse that has dementia.

    Dear yogaboy,
please give me advice how to gain weight

    • @YOGABODY.Official
      @YOGABODY.Official  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Gaining weight is a much better problem to have;) But I know it can be frustrating. Focuses on increase intake is obvious, but since that is not working, liquiid calories can be really helpful - but focus on liquid fats and proteins. A high protein / high fat shake for example can give you an extra 500 calories and is very easy to drink. It's like the reverse of dieting for weight loss when people say avoid liquid calories, but I would stay low glycemic if you're boosting calories.

It's disingenuous to focus on these imbalances without re-iterating that a sufficient calorie deficit should result in weight loss regardless. Can't violate the laws of physics. If you're not losing weight you do need to eat less or move more - likely some combination of the two

    • @YOGABODY.Official

Well yes but that is not always helpful. Check last weeks video for an in-depth discussion on that topic specifically

Lately all leading nutritionist have realised the impact of pollution, hormonal imbalance etc on weight loss. Physics should not be linked to mathematics, weight loss is not merely differential of calorie and body movements.

The flaw is you think everyone has an infinite store of will power they just choose to not use.
Yes weight loss is inevitable if you dump anyone in a situation where he or she can’t physically find enough calories; North Korea, a Soviet gulag.
But to live in a modern world, what people must look for is ways to limit the need to use of will power.

Calories in/calories out is an old way of thinking. Lucas is right about the new research. I have been reading many research papers at www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov on the microbiome and how many things in the body are influenced by it. Perhaps you should read some of the papers.
