This is my favorite soundtrack in the game. The game's great too, the combat is awesome, exploring is awesome, the characters were well thought out; I love all the characters.
By far my favorite stratum of the game, the music and the setting are so peaceful I even forgot those Ants, I mean, I would get angry if foreigners tried to take a place like this from me
+Kristopher Davis I actually did fall asleep two or three times while I was exploring the Azure Rainforest because of this music, which you really don't want to do because it's probably the hardest stratum to get through your first time through. Enemy damage output skyrockets from the jump between the transition from the second to the third stratum (Heck, you could argue that the jump between Gladsheim floor two and the third stratum is where it skyrockets), and you're at the point where equipment is always just out of reach since enemy drops and materials from gathering nodes don't sell for quite enough ental.
This reminds me of my first time playing this. I was steamrolling through the FOE's and was pretty much overleveled because of that. Then I see a Muckdile on the 14th floor and I'm just nope... Going to avoid that one.
Crabs that resist freaking everything? Check. Not even their "weakness to volt" means anything. Seahorses(?) that pierce through your lines? Check. Same with their "weakness to fire". Dinogators that pwn all your party at once? Check. Unless you have the means to bind its mouth you're pretty much abused every turn. And let's not mention the Hell Anglers+Ant combos. Unless you have the curses to dispel the buffs, you're gonna have a baaaaaaaaaad time. God bless that unknown Grimoire with hexer skills I found somewhere...
***** And being ambushed by the ant/3 swordfish combo...Would've been a game over if they weren't nice and spread out the damage across the entire team instead of focusing on a few -.-
Yuck. Really. Seriously, I didn't have this much trouble in the Sandy Barrens nor on Lost Shinjuku. There's something about the Azure Rainforest that just screams bloody murder to me. At least we can all agree that the Alraune is the worst thing of this game.
I heard this song before playing the game, I just reached this Stratum and found two ants and I left both of them almost dead in the first turn. "Ok? So these are the infamous Etrian Odyssey ants? Pff" Next turn they both go first and fully heal each other :))))))
I took a long time off from this game because of the Azure Woodlands >.< I almost forgot how fun this game is. I've gotten better at fighting bosses though. I always bring an analysis lens around for them. I keep having to got back to floor 8 to heal up (yeah, I know, there's a spring on one of the Azure Rainforest floors, but the one on floor 8 is closer). It's the regular monsters that were the problem.
Ikr...the mobs here are relentless with their attacks. Sometimes you get unlucky with all of them landing on one character .-. Music's very relaxing and love the backgrounds of this stratum, but those enemies...
I didn't like this stratum in the original because the scenery was too bright and the music was too loud. But with this revamped track, I don't think I'd mind trekking through it.
+Кейли Тамирианская Just personal preference really. For me, it was just kinda jarring seeing such bright blues after everything else was green before. I think by this point in the game I'd gotten used to the murky jungle in the second stratum so when I got to this one I was like "gah!"

I have gotten to the fourth stratum, and the only songs I don't care about are the Gladsheim and second stratum soundtracks. The rest, whoa.
